Decal's

Hey guys.. Can anybody guide me to the whereabouts of some decent sized quality jpg's.
I want to print my own decals for friends and my car.
Im after some pics along the lines of:

HKS
TRUST
Greddy
RICE
Apexi
5Zigen
TRD
MILK
HSV
BREAD :P

also if anybody has any good suggestions of what writing stickers are good for
the back windshield let me know. Here's an example of one.
"Scared of heights" (on a extremely lowered car)
"If you want more inches, stroke it" (speaks for itself)

looking forward to your replies, thanks a million in advance.

Adem... 8)

T-Bird 06-25-2005 02:26 AM

Um are you trying to make your own vinyls?
because usually when you buy the parts they come with a sticker/decal to put on the car, or are you trying to make decals for a model car?
have you by chance tried the companies websites? they usually have their logo's there then you can just P-shop them a little bit and change the color etc...

wattawog 06-25-2005 02:30 AM

yes something like that my friends are asking me to print out a few but i dont have any images of decent quality.. and im a newbie to this printer too.. its complicating :D

Which one Vinyls for real cars or model car decals?

wattawog 06-25-2005 11:41 PM

listen bro. decals for cars. meaning a car not a TOY or MODEL car.
understand me now? is there a site or a directory somewhere which has graphics.jpg
which saves me the headaches of finding them one by one. im not
stupid and i do know that each company has their own logo or decal on their website.
the whole point of my message was to see if anybody could help my searching process any faster.
now what your doing is quite the opposite, dont you think?

If you finally understand what i was asking in the first place and you are unable to
help me mr t-bird please stop giving me shit, if you are able to give me some help or advice.
it is appreciated. thank you 8)

abbor 06-25-2005 11:46 PM

Well, you didn't give him a answer to his question, so don't try it with the attitude..

I'm sure you're using more time writing that post of yours than it would take to find the logos one by one..

wattawog 06-25-2005 11:50 PM

attitude? he asks me if im trying to make my own decals. i said yeah something like that..... how the **** is that attitude? 0X

O and yes your very right, i am wasting my time writing that message. and yes i could have found one decent decal. but because im slow, stupid and not as good at searching for things on the net like some people like yourself seem to be. im inexpirienced and thats why i asked for help. what i get back is a whole different ball game! :|

What you have against TOY or MODEL cars... bro...

And just so youknow - if you bother to spend time browsing around most manufacturers websites, you will sometimes come across simple press kits, that have some logos and badges in TIF and other high quality form.

Or you could just pull you head out your arse, fire up Google nad find your own. ;) :D

abbor 06-25-2005 11:54 PM

he asked you if you was making decals for a real car or a toy car, and you said: yeah something like that... That's not answering his question, so he was not giving you shit, just trying to understand what you meant! So you had an attitude towards t-bird that's not tolerated here..

:fist:

wattawog 06-25-2005 11:55 PM

i have nothing against toy cars chief. i was just replying to a question.. thanks allot man. i appreciate it, picds and advice what format to search and stuff.. cheers!

wattawog 06-25-2005 11:57 PM

abbor: your right i just realized now.... sorry t-bird and to you too.

abbor 06-26-2005 12:05 AM

It's okay.. I just have some anger inside because a customer at work hit me today(not very hard, but still) and I couldn't really hit him back, although I wanted to, because then I'd maybe loose my job.. So I'm just letting it out on you.. :?

antonioledesma 06-26-2005 12:20 AM

^^why did he hitted you? :|

abbor 06-26-2005 01:05 AM

Because I couldn't understand a fucking thing of what he said, and I thought he got help from someone else, but he didn't, and when he had waited 20 minutes, he came and wanted to talk to me.. So I tried to explain my confusion and all that, why I thought he had gotten the food from another employer, but he just keep on raging.. And then he hits me not very hard under my chin..

At that point I went raging and threatening him about all sorts of shit, but luckily I calmed down a little.. He asked for the number to my boss, and I tried to play "The customer is always right", but he tries to kick my feet under me when I'm going to get the number.. I swear, I was | | this close from punching this piece of shit's face in, but luckily someone dragged him out of there..

BTW, I work at a place where all the drunk people in town get their food about 2 or 3 am, so naturally I was kinda stressed and tired..

antonioledesma 06-26-2005 01:03 PM

so he could've been a little bit drunk?? I hate drunk ppl at those hours and in restaurants

it was good you restrained yourself, those ppl don't deserve more than 3 minutes of attention

TransAm 06-26-2005 06:04 PM

A friend of mine bought a used Focus SVT a couple of years ago. It had horrible 'swish' decals along the side of the body, they were maybe a metre long...we used to take the piss out of him constantly, even though he's really not into cars nor is he a ricer!

Keep a car clean! Put all the parts on it that you want, but don't give away what you have so easely! Understatement rules, never forget that!

Besides; Brembo, Koni, Pioneer, Pirelli, ... doesn't mean shit! For all I know you could have stock brake pads from Brembo, basic Koni coils, whatever... It's not because of a certain make, that you have real performance parts.
And if you lose to someone you'll look like an idiot, that I can give you on a piece of paper!

btw, scared of heigths, LOL! Idiots, you could even get over a speedbump faster then granny does in her Lada! I don't think that's impressive! That's just being an attention whore!

That's what the entire decal thing is all about, attention whores...
"Look what I've got, and yeah that extra plastic and stickers on my car gives me 500bhp more and I get trough a corner faster then a F1 car, really no shit, my car goes, it's way better then all those race cars". And then they get beaten by a stock Citroen 2CV or Smart because they can't even take a speedbump

OK Vinyls aren't always a bad thing like if your ride is sponsored or like when I get my VDub I will put a small DubWerks vinyl in the side window to support a local shop etc... Also black vinyls along the bottom of a black car aren't bad if the car is modded to piss and has something to back it up.

This is freaky - yet another Eurocrat sharing my opinion.. ;) :P

ARE YOU A RICER  ? We dont like rice around here, its V8 yank mobiles and V12 lattes with half and half cream.

For the benefit of Non-Australians I will explain HSV (one of the decals he was looking for). HSV is Holden Special Vehicles. So Holden create a perfomance car eg. Monaro. Then HSV go and stick a more powerful crate v8 motor from the US into the car. They also do some slight chassis work. Essentially just creating a more focused model.

However probably the equivalent of a ricer culture among many Australians is to get a hold of some old model HSV and mod it up. Although the cars do still have at least a 5L V8 so not really the classic rice. In other ways they are similar for example the decals or lowering the car to a crazy ride height.

But its not that Australians don't have any rice mobiles, we've still got some of them, we aren't really a motoring nirvana. :(

I really don't like the older HSV's with newer front bumpers on them - just looks silly. :? However modding an old HSV in general is not rice at all in my book.

Another thing I cannot stand is Commodores with clear tail lights - just looks so SHIT. There is a VP HSV down the street from me with those crap lights, makes the thing look like some 4 cylinder ricer. :x

Jeez this has gone off-topic, but who cares.... :P

zondaland 06-27-2005 07:50 AM

Topic schmopic. (Note to self that really doesn't work when typed). Anyway I'm a Ford fan so I can just look at any modded HSV and hate it :D

I would agree with you that there are differences between the ricer culture and the culture of modding old HSV's. I just feel that there is a little bit of a similarity, people with very little actual mechanical expertise trying to make cars that will be awesome and ending up either making their cars pug ugly or generally useless.
