District 9

I really enjoyed it.

Plays like watching live news or a documentary taken from all kinds of footage ie: surveillance cameras, news footage etc.

Has a Cloverfield look to it without the shaky camera puke problems.

Very political. Hard hitting, you don't root for your own species.

He's back in my good graces after King Kong.

I agree. Was glad the whole movie wasnt news/documentary footage style. I was surprised at how good this movie was. Cant wait to see it again

Bleh.. there wasn't even an alien Nelson Mandela...

It was entertaining to say the least.. story line was dragged out a bit too much.. the parts that made me laugh at the movie saved it for me.

I liked the production value, but hated the over use of reality style shaking video cameras. It wasn't as bad as the Blair Witch Project, but I'm definitely not going to watch this one a second time in theaters, or on Blu Ray.

I think this movie actually better utilized CGI than Avatar. While Avatar was supremely impressive because of it's massive production value, District 9 seamlessly integrated the non-real.

That’s nice! Thanks a lot for sharing this here. I even found out about Andy Yeatman on such forums only. Also, I want to share this information with all my friends and cousins. I am glad that now online websites have made life so very easy.
