i was wondering where this thread was :D
Watching practice 2 right now. Schumi is fastest in session 2 so far with alonso 5th. shaping up to be a great race :D |
Brilliant... Now the supposed "super" tyres will only be used in Japan, because Bridgestone "found something" in Jerez... That means that Ferrari's using the France based spec tyres. Add that to car that has already stopped being developed for some time now, and we have another humilliation ahead.
I hope it rains on Sunday... |

If it rains, i think we will see championship tighten up severly. Bridgestone may have failed in their quest for a good dry tire, but they are still superior with their wets. |

Heh, not really if you look at Spa. :| Michelin did a lot of Wet tyre testing in the winter and tightened the gap; I'd say they're comparable right now, maybe with a small adavantadge to Michelin. The little fuckers completely copied the Bridgestone's intermediates tread design... |

Yeah, I wasn't relying on the tread design alone. But look at this: When it rained at Indy in 2003, by the time all the drivers had the inters on, Schummi was being about 3 seconds a lap faster than Raikokonen and a Sauber finished in third, ahead of a Renault. Hell, even the Jordans were being fast! And now look at Spa, this year... ________________ Saturday Practise 1 1 5 Fernando Alonso Renault 1:12.738 2 6 Giancarlo Fisichella Renault 1:12.789 3 10 Juan Pablo Montoya McLaren-Mercedes 1:13.050 4 9 Kimi Räikkönen McLaren-Mercedes 1:13.088 5 3 Jenson Button BAR-Honda 1:13.186 6 2 Rubens Barrichello Ferrari 1:13.529 7 8 Antonio Pizzonia Williams-BMW 1:13.795 8 16 Jarno Trulli Toyota 1:13.869 9 17 Ralf Schumacher Toyota 1:13.908 10 1 Michael Schumacher Ferrari 1:13.952 11 4 Takuma Sato BAR-Honda 1:14.042 12 15 Christian Klien Red Bull Racing 1:14.051 13 7 Mark Webber Williams-BMW 1:14.112 14 12 Felipe Massa Sauber-Petronas 1:14.255 15 14 David Coulthard Red Bull Racing 1:14.401 16 11 Jacques Villeneuve Sauber-Petronas 1:14.479 17 18 Tiago Monteiro Jordan-Toyota 1:14.851 18 19 Narain Karthikeyan Jordan-Toyota 1:15.252 19 20 Robert Doornbos Minardi-Cosworth 1:15.772 20 21 Christijan Albers Minardi-Cosworth 1:15.815 |

Alonso on Pole .. Kimi made a mistake in the Senna S

Kimi screwed up
|
klien 6th in grid. good qualifying for him 1 second better than coulthard.
|
i hope JPM goes kamikaze on Alonso somewhere
|
Shit! Rare mistake from Kimi. But it'll be fun to see him charge up the field provided he doesn't get held up by Button and Fisi. At least he'll be on the clean side of the road and probably out drag Button. I want to see an out and out fight between Kimi, JPM and Alonso. No holds barred. The championship's lost anyway. With the updated Renault, the car's more than a match for the MP4/20. Can't wait for the race. Go McLaren!!!!
|
Alonso's a chicken. No balls whatsoever. Even with the championship won, he won't dare go wheel to wheel with JPM or Kimi.
