HOW TO VOTE (ESPECIALLY SUBZERO)

Guys, now that the results are online, you should agree that we definitely have too many subzero cars (and it all started a couple of days ago)! Seriously, try to think about TG, how many subzero cars they have after a couple of seasons (or even three, can't remember)?

Of course it's up to personal preferences, but only a VERY limited amount of cars can be considered subzero and deserve to be there. I won't tell you the Miura deserves it ;), but well, a subzero car is something totally out of this world on every single aspect.
An F430 might be as cool as you want, but it's a car that every football player of this world bought or will buy. We aren't saying only rare supercars deserve to be there, but definitely we will need to pull several Jeremys to remove some of the cars and put them back in the "cool" section.
Please, try to be as conservative as possible when voting, and do not put "subzero" to every car you like :)

Thanks!

indeed.. I'm going to to go test the jeremy code on a few of those subzero cars in a mo

edit: I just succesfully jeremied the db7

nthfinity 11-19-2005 12:48 PM

I agree 100% with TT, and was thinking that the other day myself

I agree that theres probably too many Sub-Zero rated cars. Theres probably only the TVR Sagaris which is in that catagory for me at the momment. Seriously if you lick that car, your tongue will get stuck to is.

ARMAN 11-19-2005 12:57 PM

My dumb voted SZ on the first cars cause my thought subzero is "just under zero" so it is between cool and uncool

ZfrkS62 11-19-2005 12:59 PM

i haven't seen the number f people who wasted thir votes on subzero cars but i do know there were 2 for the Aztek :? apparently there are alot

graywolf624 11-19-2005 01:14 PM

I have maybe 3 sub zero votes so far... So don't look at me..

e46drew 11-19-2005 08:07 PM

There isn't any middle ground on TG, so don't expect any here!

On a side-note... this guy seems a little trigger-happy with his sub-zeros

Check out his post history... :bah:

Im just thinking that if sub zero is for the most extreem examples then lets say that a 355 is cool but is a 308 uncool :?:

TT 11-19-2005 09:13 PM

Cool is as wide as you want... if a 355 is cool, a 308 can still fit in there too

AlienDB7 11-19-2005 09:16 PM

So far only gave the DB7 a sub-zero

The voting is fatally flawed anyway. Everyone is just voting on how good of a car it is. I mean not being a sports car or not costing 100K doesnt make something uncool.

weichenoo 11-20-2005 07:00 AM

you're quite negative really aren't you

Fleischmann 11-20-2005 08:01 AM

I totally agree. For some people the graph represesnts not how ool the car is but by how fast it goes. Look at the sub zero section...we have basically all the supercars in there. Pagani Zonda, Enzo, Macca, Carrera GT, F50.

Try to think of a few cars that really deserve that spot and wait till it's time to vote for them.

chest3r 11-22-2005 05:56 PM

I voted a lot of cars for Subzero because I can't say they're just cool. They're much more than that.
We should have a "Very cool" section so that I wouldn't vote so much cars as subzero section.

And we shouldn't submit so much cars for voting as we are doing now. In just 2 or 3 days we have a lot of topics and some of them have cars that shouldn't even be voted.

In whos opinion should certain cars not be there?? It is up to the admins and myself which cars get on the wall out of the suggestions, and it is simply your responsibility to vote sensibly. If it is very cool, it goes in cool, because it lacks something. As for the number the pace will slow, just trying to get a good number in each section ;-)

chest3r 11-22-2005 06:24 PM

We're voting in cars that we already know what everybody is going to say. And some of them are just normal cars. It's just one more.

I just said that because if there will be like 50 cars in the cool section they're not all just cool. You should do like TG. Some of them will be near the Subzero limit and others near the uncool limit

Not the first clue what you're Jibba Jabbering about there

That becomes a problem in that for particualrly lo res users (800x600) they will have to scroll miles across to see groups of cars just on the edges stacked up, basically is is a recipe for wasted screen space. As the wall fills up it just won't be practical IMO

Some car makers only make cars of one "rateable" type. For example, Ferrari makes cars which I think are almost all in the upper category, whilst Kia might make cars that are almost all in the lower category.

Can't really spread them out WITHIN the constructor, because you cannot give a car from a certain manufacturer a subzero status in order to even it out within that companies lineup of cars.

If the company doesn't make a good car, it simply doesn't make one. Just my two cents.
