If they were to go for low boost setup, they should have gone for smaller turbos. These big boys probably will be able to do 700hp range.....and not the easy to spool.

Anyways, thanks for the link Pagani, always nice to see good condition R32s.

Some recent dynosheets this one is a 22 psi 1.5 bar boost
It has 683 whp that is 700+hp at the crank

The second is at 19 psi boost 1,3 bar

Now that's more like it.

RC45 03-08-2009 01:55 AM

That power curve looks really laboured and the motor seems to be very slow to build boost.

Cant be very nice to drive hard.

Sorry, but anyone who purposely builds an autox car with a power curve like that is a moron.

5vz-fe 03-08-2009 08:30 PM

Definitely need a smaller pair of turbos for autox. the on / off throttle makes it impossible to set a good time.

I think the auto x stuff was just for fun but i have seen big power cars set pretty good times on a auto x course you need to run very low boost otherwise you will lose time
But anyway i think it's better suited to road course street driving and dragracing
Example of big power turbo car round a auto x course

Just because they show up doesnt mean they are fast though. An Exige woul dprobably still be faster around the course than that car. And sorry to say, but even for a road course car, that power curve is no good - it is just for show on the dyno to post numbers.

Actually the guy that just dropped $100,000 "tuning" for his "Skyline" with dyno power would care when he shows up to "dominate" an event, only to have a home-tuned Exige walk away with the trophy.

One thing I have learned over the years, is at there are"show" cars, and there are "go" cars... this is not a "go"car ;)
