The Tires are the weakest detail, should find better ones. Interior has carpets and fabric seats Porsche pinstripe design (at least what it should). It has even "turbo" embeded floormats |
Amazing. When I first saw your thread I did not open it as here in estonia I have seen what "customised car models "look like, but your work is outstanding. How many hours does it take to complete one model on average? i.e. whats the longest and whats the quickest in your experience?

How build a unique model
I never count the hours, because its a hobby ;)
But here I will show you how its all done First buy a model to start with. In this case a Maisto Porsche 997 some parts from a hotworks Techart XL will be used. But most has to be made from scratch Guess what will come out :) http://img222.imageshack.us/img222/8...99711zc.th.jpg First of all the paint is removed by detoner. The Spoilers are made from a special two component Epoxy, that can be formed like knead until it hardens. http://img459.imageshack.us/img459/4...htel6di.th.jpg http://img106.imagevenue.com/loc24/t...tspachtel2.jpg next is leveling the surface, grinding and priming http://img124.imagevenue.com/loc24/t...7spachtel3.jpg The Backspoiler is totaly made from scratch, i had no measurements just photographic material http://img135.imagevenue.com/loc24/t...7spachtel4.jpg After overworking a Spoilertip is made out of plasticcard http://img141.imagevenue.com/loc32/t...telnochmal.jpg Now coat of silver ist aplied any holes, gabs or incorrect proportions are revealed. Silver is a good base for blue paint http://img44.imagevenue.com/loc296/t...orlackiert.jpg Now here we have the first coat of Porsche lapis blue in the front the interior airbrushed with a blue resembling the porsche interior leather, blue selfsticking carpet aplied and some part brushed with alumium silver http://img15.imagevenue.com/loc197/t...hart_Innen.jpg http://images5.pictiger.com/thumbs/f...f93aaf7.th.jpg The best result in finish is still polishing http://images5.pictiger.com/thumbs/d...f15d4db.th.jpg to be continued |

I'm probably not the first one to say this but,
You should really look into selling your models! I'm sure you'll be able to find customers quite easily.. including myself! |
Very nice, is that Ferrari from Bburago?
|
Yes it was a BBurago.
I could never sell one, because no one would pay the amaount of work. But I do paintjobs |
