Filters
I recently took delivery of a couple of new glass last week and I am now looking for filters. So what filters do you folks use on your dslr lenses?
|
I use a UV filter for protection and a Polarizer for situations with much (sun)light.
Both are B&W, may be the most expensive but certainly worth it! |
Only polarizer for me. Works even better in cloudy days because grey sky reflections on a car can be very annoying :)
BW for me too |
ACDelco or Fram Filters... and sometimes K&N...
|
lol @ k&n lol
|
B&W eh? What do you think about Cokin?
|
Just picked up a UV last night for my new 18-200. They didn't have a 72mm Polarizer so i'll have to pick one up somewhere else.
If you are shooting digital those should be the only filters you need. Color filtering can be done in photoshop. |
I'm using Hoya filters, UV for protection and polarizer for cars.

I've been looking for some filters aswell recently and found this
Is there a reason this is so cheap as usually the pro 1 filters are closer to £90. Just want to check im not missing something before I buy it. |
IMO the best brands are B&W and Hoya. I'd avoid the others
|
FYI, Promaster filters are Hoya filters which are re-branded as Promaster.
|
I get my Hoya's on Ebay from Hong Kong for about 1/3 of my local price.
