I need advices to digit tapes.
 

Hi dudes,
I would like to invest in a digit card to put my old VHS on CD/DVD or PC.
I thought buying one of these : Pinnacle DC10+ (a bit old but seems good) or Adaptec VideOH/DVD Media, i don't want to put more than 250-300 euros for it.
The problem is that i read some tests and it seems that digiting tapes takes a lot of place on the HD, i heard something like 20 GB for 20min in good quality !!! Apparently it's in AVI format and it would take less in Mpeg2 but it seems enormous yet.
I am a novice so i would like to get advices from those who are digiting their tapes.
If you could give me your mean of digit / advices i would be gratefull .
