Ordered a new computer
 

went from an nvidia and amd machine to an AMD-ATI and Intel one :)
my old one was an AMD 3700+ with the 7900GT
I should get everything by monday, pictures will follow ;)


CPU- Intel Core 2 Duo E6750
Mobo- MSI P35 Neo2-FR
GPU- SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 2900XT (And I've been an Nvidia guy for the last few years.. hope I wont be disappointed!)
Mem- G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 (4-4-3-5)
PSU- SILVERSTONE ST85F
Case- NZXT LEXA BlackLine
Mouse- Logitech Battlefield 2142 G5 (came with BF2142 for free..)
Keyboard- Logitech Media Elite
HDD- Seagate Barracuda 320GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb (was thinking about the 500GB one.. but 320 should do it.. and if not, i'll get another one and raid them ;) )
Monitor- SAMSUNG 226BW Black 22" 2 ms (I was VERY happy with my Samsung 19" 2ms, but i left it for my sis in Israel, along with the rest of my old PC, I'm sure I'll love this one even more :D )
DVD-RW- LG GSA-H62NK (X18 SATA, and I love LG drives!)
Speakers- Creative Inspire T6100

the only thing sucks is the NJ tax (that only 2 other states has) so that was a waste of $120.. but nothing next to what I'm used to :lol: so I'm not complaining :lol:

i bought the HD2600 Pro, and it was a significant diff in picture clarity and also it allows u to adjust the over zoom on my plasma...my previous card was nvidia 7300gt...

I dunno how good it is for games but for hd media it's awesome

So my crappy luck continues..
i just opened the box (I had the PC shipped to San Diego)
and USPS are the worse company ever.. when i was the box it was all banged up..
i just got to opening it today (the 7 days shipping took 14 days..)
the mem was out of place, as well as the GPU! the PCI-E slot is fucked..
when i turn the pc on nothing is showing.. i tried using the 2nd pci-e (not sure if it possible) nothing is still showing.. my guess is the PCI-E slot is bad (you can see some damage..) now, i just hope the GPU is still fine..
so now i need a new mobo.. :?
I'm thinking about getting the same one (MSI P35 Neo2-FR), or the new DFI BLOOD IRON P35-T2RL.. not sure.. I would appreciate some opinions..
my only prob with the MSI was it wouldn't let me use the low timing of my mem all the way.. (4-4-3-5)

PS- I did have insurance on the package, the max they let me was $500 insurance, so i got that.. so if anyone can help me with dealing (tips, what to do, or past experience...) with them about that and actually get that insurance money that would be awesome..

Yes, USPS does not care or even try to take care of people's property when being shipped. Many of the boxes are tossed about as if they were filled with nothing of value.

Thamar is correct. By excepting the package, you were pretty much telling them that all is right. They can now say that the damage was done by a careless owner and not one of their employees. You need to file a complaint as soon as possible with pictures and documentation of all the damaged parts.
