Holy Crap! - AT LAST a console title sounds great - engines, brake squeal, tyre scrub, gravel clatter and impact sounds.

You will find yourself driving different cars JUST for the engines and transmission notes. BMW V12'sa re spine tingling, US V8's are stomach rumbling, Porsche flat 6's just sound right - and German V10's are amazing.

They got the sounds right. Well fucking done - about bloody time.

Just what i needed to know! Thanks RC!

I had decided to buy PS3 just to play GT5, now i will definetly check this out.

That sounds great!

Now when you say BMW V12... I'm going to assume that there's a McLaren F1? Yes? Please let it be a yes!

I got this one for PC and after getting my steering wheel setup right this is easily the best NFS ever. Physics are really good and the sound is even better! I am going to enjoy this one for a long time!

Yep, PC version.
The PS3 sits and collects dust in the living room. Which is kind of a drag, since the PS3 is hooked up to a 61" HD. One which I barely watch anyway, since I am always in the computer room.

Playing games on a 26" computer monitor, at a res of 1900x1200, isn't too bad though.

I'll be getting Forza 3 and GT5 for some console action.

lol I hate the drifting events in Grid and I hear the drifting events are particularly frustrating in NFS Shift because the physics are so odd. Though I admit im so glad they improved the powersliding in dirt 2

I enjoyed GRID too, and as far as I am concerned, if you liked GRID, you will enjoy SHIFT.

Proud owner of a Zonda R and Z06 works here. If any one want easy profile points id suggest drifting the oval track. 6 laps = about 4k points and 3 rounds so around 12 per race (i set up one quick race with 20 laps). Im a level 30 with 450+ stars.

haha, ok, I'm going to buy this one too. Thanks RC

I too was pretty surprised at this game. I would have liked some split screen multiplayer also. But its passable since it has a pretty accurate and good visual Nurburgring for time trialing :D
