my carbon black M3 E46

hi, my name is svenson. i'm pretty new here, so i'd like to introduce my car 8)

it's a carbon black m3 e46, smg ii gearbox, with the beautiful original bmw 19" wheels, and eibach springs installed (2-2.5cm lower, about 1 inch):

i like it black, so i added smoked/dark backlights (from in.pro):

did i say i like it black? this plastic console right under the smg stick comes in some titan colored plastic. i removed the chrome SMG letters, filled the holes and colored the console in semi gloss black. this perfectly matches the black leather seats and the steering wheel (where i had to replace the lower spoke which came in this titan colored plastic too...):

that's how many kilometers i did with this car until a few weeks ago. it's even more now :P damn i like this car!

i'll add some more pics of my other mods later. this includes a supersprint exhaust, black spoiler "kidneys", and black/white bmw stickers instead of those original blue/white ones.

i hope you like the pics (and i hope i did this album posting correct so you can see the pics...)

EDIT: uploaded pics in bigger format

A poor 320i E36!

svenson69 02-13-2004 06:33 PM

"a poor 320i e36", but equipped with nice wheels. do you live in beautiful ticino?

TT 02-13-2004 06:34 PM

I was born there, but live in Kanton Vaud now... near Lausanne :D

svenson69 02-13-2004 06:44 PM

@TT:
so you're pretty close to geneva. i guess you're visiting the "auto salon" each year

btw, i found a pic showing the above mentioned black front spoiler "kidneys":

the pic was shot while driving on the german hockenheim race track. check out my cool "g-meter" (well, the pic used to be a bit larger before i uploaded it, sorry for this stamp size photo  )

i put philips silverVision blinker bulbs, btw. that's why the front blinker glasses don't show any sign of orange color.

EDIT: postet pic with more pixels 8)

TT 02-13-2004 06:50 PM

Sure, I visit every year (2004 included :P)

And nice to see you trashed your baby on track already :D to bad Switzerland is not really "well equipped" for that :D

svenson69 02-13-2004 06:52 PM

this car is real fun! the smg gearbox is just astonishing. gear changes in highest level (S6) are simply brutal, done in 0.08 secs

TT 02-13-2004 07:02 PM

Oh BTW, completely off topic, I lived in Zurich for a couple of years :D close to Uto-brucke

svenson69 02-13-2004 07:05 PM

at the age of 24 you've lived in quite a lot of parts of big switzerland

i live on the other end of zürich, north-west 8)

TT 02-13-2004 07:15 PM

Hehe, I lived in Zurich because I tried to study there.. but German is for sure not my thing :( and the result was a disaster LOL :D

svenson69 02-13-2004 07:37 PM

speaking about school stuff and disaster: me and the french language

svenson69 car look amazing. How do you manage to keep it clean all the time. My borther use to have a 328 in jet black it was a pain to keep stopless.

svenson69 02-14-2004 03:54 AM

well, it IS a pain to keep it clean and scratch-free. this carbon black gets scratched when you only look at it  :|
