Ferrari 360 Modena OR Porsche 911 Turbo
 

The winner of the 360 vs Gallardo poll, the Ferrari is going up against the marvel from stutgart. Ferrari 360 Modena OR Porsche 911 Turbo and why?

I would choose the Ferrari for a few reasons, one tiff choose the porsche over the SL and i didnt like that, two I prefer the style of the ferrari and sound and the ferrai would probably be more fun and faster than the 911.

Porsche because of realiability, awd, and turbo! Apart from that tuning capabilities also though i know ferrari also can be tuned...but i still prefer turbo cars. I would have picked a ferrari ,but mabbe cause i jsut heard from my friends saying that his ferrari breaks down alot *shrug. Of course the engine, exhaust sounds good, driving feeling is good..is what makes an italian car great!

911 all the way, its not a ferrari the 911 is definately a beast. Get it in black and put some black wheels on there and it is so sexy!

I hate to be the diehard ferrari guy but I'd still take the ferrari first. The new 911 looks like a turtle to me. The just don't excite me. Well Maybe the carrera GT a little :D

i chose 360,, that car is just so pretty,, and the exhaust note is just uncompairable

but the performance the turbo is stronger, both handling and straight line

Ferrari all the way. Why? Well it's beautiful, it has a state of the art V8, it is one of the best sounding car's on the planet. It's a real drivers drivers car, rear wheel drive, no forced induction, raw power. Thats what cars should be all about.


911(honestly I love porsches)But number one thing that put's me off is the flat 6. I dont see the magic there. Little flat 6's dont do much for me. The fact that it got a Turbo put's me off. As I said, I like raw power. The same old basic design is getting to old. It's not as exotic, it doesnt have the sex appeal that the 360 has. It's AWD. That means it is not as challenging to drive. There is nothing better then fighting a RWD 400BHP around a difficult track.


Performance wise, these two cars are very close. But ferrari is the winner. Why? As I always say, good cars(very good cars) always make it up the motorsports ladder. The 996Turbo was never succesful in any motorsport. The 996GT3 is. Thats why I like the GT3 so much. I know people will say that in motorsports it's all about the budget etc.....



NOw the 360Stradale came out, and the 911Turbo will be smashed in every test. Even the GT3RS doesnt have much of a chance.

hey u got to consider the porsche 911 turbo is street car, not half street and half track like 360Stradale
i love the 360Stradale but i do not like the interior,, is too race cockpit, it is probably aimed toward track user, so the ppl buy it would not mind i guess..

i love the gt3 so much,, better then turbo,, gt3 is such an good handling car,, we would have to see which car perform better gt3/360Stradale ..so far no us magazine did a comparison of the 2 car,, so i dunno teh result

Well Jabba's 355 sounds a good as it gets. I still got that vid of him revving it at night. 355's sound better than the 360 just like the F50 sounds better than the enzo. The newer cars have a deeper sound to them. Something they changed but I can't remember what it was. 360 sounds much better with a tubi.

sif theres even a contest?? The porsche has already won ;) the 911 is built better, has more class, is cheaper and the list goes on...

911's are my fav car of all time for these reasons and more!

Ferrari all the way. No 911 is capable of giving me goosebumps. Well, the 360 is.

No doubt the 911 Turbo is a marvellous car and if it was the only performance car around, I'd be thrilled to own one. But I hate its looks and sound. Too bad.

Question for heath: the Porsche has more class than the Ferrari? Does the fact that that outcome is upside down have anything to do with your location on the earth's surface? :wink:

absolutly the Ferrari. For me it's not even a question.
it beats the 911 in anything.

it's just like Tiff said in "the greatest cars", the 360 is a car you just can't get enough of. it's always thrilling and exciting. the porsche definitely isn't.
