Keyed Car
 

Some asshole keyed my car across the hood on the driver's side past weekend and it pissed me right off. I live in a little apartment and my car is parked out behind the building and I don't have any enemies at all. Anyways, thats beside the point, Im wondering if anyone has some secrets or tips in how to get it off. I can take pics but i have no idea how to post them. Lets say its deep enough that when i rub my finger across it i can feel a nice groove.

Are you sure it was keyed? or Cats?

I've got WAY too many Cat claw marks on my car. My dad's car has them too. That's why we started covering the cars now.

Yeah it wasn't a cat. I looked at the path of it and traced it with with a normal key and it was the same path and lines. As for insurance, Im not sure if thats covered. Ill check into it though.

Keying people -> death penalty.

I hate people damaging stuff from somebody else.

the vandalism part should cover it, but as far as I know, you still have to pay your deductible. If I were you, I'd ask if my premium would increase. Usually, deductibles are 500$ so I think paying 200 more or so out your pocket is better than having insurance go up.

Ifyou can feel the scratch with your nail it has to be repainted period buffing won't do shit for you. using touch up paint properly and taking a loong time you could do it but you haveto be very patient andyou will be constantly buffing and wet sanding. I've saved a few cars from the body shop atwork beforedoing it but you have to be very patient and metuculous and even then it's not guaranteed to look perfect.
