I just see on web server log that gbg (qbq on the other forum) is posting posts that comes from Jbw.

I will remove my gallery pretty soon and try to find a solution to avoid those kinds of things.

As most of the time, i believe it's the most common problem: he doesn't understand english well enough..

I tried to browse quickly his other posts and I don't see other urls that were meant to be JW only, do you have other interesting ones?

i just saw the pics here on jw about the belgium tuning show and i thought they were interesting

i really cant see any problems on showing pics from the belgium tuning show to my friends, but when i saw that the transporter didnt like it, i removed the pics

i already sent a pm to the transporter excusing myself, but i see no need on making a whole topic about it.

expect everything is resolved now...

This has everything to do with the rest of us... especially those of us that post here specifically asking to NOT post the links elsewhere.

Although you "removed" the links - your attitude says everything we needed to know.

You knew better and are just pissed because you got discovered.

He needs to adjust his misguided attitude to members here and their requests - no need to lock a topic that will server as a reminder to others.

what did he do? post a link to the thread? or post the actual pics from jabbas world? were they from the photo gallery...and this is a BIG problem (since that steals jabbas BW)

the problem on leaving this topic open is that everybody will give his opinion about what i did, and this will become a mess... thats what i think

im sure that lot of users of jw dont mind if we take their pics and post in other place

the ones that dont want this kind of thing may place a warning or something... but there is no need in opening a whole topic for it

@callen: there is a topic in car gallery called "belgium tuning show 2004" with a link to a gallery of pics (i think this link belongs to "the transporter" - i posted this link in a brazilian forum)

I think its ok if you post the pics , they have logos in the pics , but you can always ask the owner of the pics if its ok to post somewhere else

When you asked not to post links to or the images themselves - it means that they do not want them posted around.

I doubt this is an issue about "credit" for images or videos.. it is about stupidly posting linsk that can lead to excessive bandwidth consumption that the hoster was not prepared for.

THAT is why people ask for links to NOT be spread around.

Yep - that's it - a simple PM to verify the owner doesn't mind you using their images.. and off you go ;)

Of course if he7luis asked to not post outside JW it's not a good thing but remember the Mclaren F1 video with Mika Hakkinen, the link had been posted here from another forum and the guy bandwidth wasted so it can happen here too

let me explain what happened

"the transporter" created a topic called Belgium tuning show 2004

i saw the link and found it interesting, so i created a topic in a brazilian forum with the same name and with this link.
about half an hour after i created the topic, "the transporter" left a thread on the brazilian forum saying something that i cant understand really well, due to my bad english, and i removed the link from there

i sent a pm to "the transporter" excusing myself and telling him that i had removed the link, but later i logged in jw and there was this topic...

he7luis only tried to translate some parts from portuguese to english

Ok well I think everything was explained by now... no idea why gbg posted on that other board, but he was quick in removing and probably understood it's not to be done again, so we can close this one ;)
