OK GOD DAMMIT fool those are a shit load of pics i fell sorry for 56k people ahahaha. nice pics, wish i went with u
|
I told you that you could go, but nooooo, school is more important. I say nuts to that...Ferraris are more important!!
LOL, I warned the 56krs as much as possible. Would have taken me days to resize all of them. |
Screw the 56kers.. ;)
That was an awesome sight !! Fantastic - those are "real supercars".. :D You can almost taste the "old school" ambiance of that facility... |
Yeah that place is insane! There was even a whole other building I wasnt able to get into cause the guy didnt have the key  Im gonna try and go back and see if I can poke my head in there. I do know that in the other building there is a painting that the owner of the blue/white Ferrari (not sure on model) had comissioned for the Pebble Beach Concours and that car was on the cover about 4 years ago of the pamphlet. The guy had the artist paint the picture, it was unveiled at the show, the guy walked over to the artist and wrote him a check for $30,000 and said "that painting is the biggest piece of shit ive ever seen, keep it."
What kind of person has enough money to write a $30,000 check for nothing? LOL the same guy that owns a Ferrari worth 5.5 million. |

BTW - nice to see you slipped the Z06 in the line up... ;)
|
I had to slip in the Z06, that thing was bad ass. It was one of the guys that owns a few of the Ferraris in there. The Z06 is his track car. It had a shit load of work done to it, very nice car.
|
god bless you!! excellent pics and even good size pics!!
|
Yeah - for those guys the Z06 is like a fancy shifter cart - dirt cheap and fast as shit.
Imagine how much fun it is to throw a fully prepped track day car around - knowing that you could cover the $50,000 repairs if you went off with the cash in your briefcase.. ;) You can really get the full value of every minute spent on the track - and push as hard as you like. |
Big thanks , this is an awesome place to visit !! To become crazy
|

Dear god... You just made my day, novass!!!!! :D :P I've come over all funny... That workshop is heaven on earth. This page is a sort of 'best of' that keeps going on and on and on. First the 212 (?) and then a GTO. Wow! But then the grey one next to it! That was when my jaw really hit the floor. Looks like a Drogo bodied 250 or 330 to me. Any more info on that car? I love it to death! Splendid 330 and then one of my alltime Ferrari favourites: the 250 GT Lusso. Goddamn, that car is stunning!! Just when I thought things couldn't get any better, the 250 GT Zagato appeared. I was this close to soiling myself! That thing is poetry on wheels... :P There are only five (or six, but I think five) made and each one has some unique touches, so no two are exactly the same. I saw one at the Zandvoort track once. I think it was also dark blue, but with a silver roof. Its condition wasn't as pristine as this one, but it still had to be valuable car. It was just sitting there between other Ferraris next to the paddock. No cords or anything to keep onlookers at a distance. And the most astounding thing was, when I left the track, so did the Zagato. The owner just drove it home through the crowded lane leading from the track and onto the public road. I'll never forget that and I still love the owner for doing that! :D After those pictures came some more stunning machinery, but I kind of lost attention. Ferrari magic I guess... |
sweet pics. i like the 250 gto
|
wow, thanks alot 4 the pics!!!

@Stradale- Glad the pics made you happy. I was having a hell of a time taking pictures of one car because I would glance over and see another nice car and I just got so jumpy and excited I couldnt contain myself. Like a kid in a candy store not sure on which piece to eat first LOL. I didnt get a whole lot of info on the majority of the cars because my dad and his friend spent the whole time telling golf stories and I was basically on my own just cruising around the shop. I dont want to count my chickens before theyve hatched, but hopefully I can persuede my dad's friend into helping me get a job there, ill sweep the floors ill do anything just to be around those cars on a daily basis LOL Well see what happens :D |
I hope you'll get a job there. I can imagine that you'll do almost anything to be around cars like that. I'd do too. :D
Well, if you get a job there, bring your camera to work! |
Quote:
@Stradale-My pops is off for the weekend for yet another golf tourney so I have to wait for him to get back on monday to give his friend a call, but if all goes according to plan and I get a job there, I will definitely take my digi and video cam every day. :D |
GTOs sold for 15 because that was the peak in the market. they have since come down from such high prices...but i think still worth more than 2 million(but again depends on if it was raced, who raced it, and many other variables of course. if u want a little crash course on this kinda stuff, watch a little barrett jackson)
novass, what are the odds u will get a job there? that would be a dream come true to work at a place like that. ooo and the pics worked fine, im using zippyimages as well right now and ive had no problems yet :D 8) |

The only problem I see right now is that I fear I have gotten myself too excited for it and if it doesnt work out I will be quite embarrassed and upset LOL |

the 250 gto is also worth 3 mill +
nice pics, very very nice ones |
great cars but doyou know what year are ther are??? what a great day you have
congratulations |
A word on resizing - If you want I can write a quick program that will bulk resize all your shots to a specified size. You only need to enter a directory and/or size!
Just ask. Anyway I there are lots of programs on the web that can do it. The shots - are awesome! I have never so many rare Ferraris in one place. I'd have loved to be there. I can't recognise all of them even. The white/blue one? Some 250? Anyway as for the price of the 250GTO - they vary greatly and is unlikely to see the 1989/1990 peaks for a loooooong time. 2mill is still enough to exclude a replica I am sure and its not exactly change. |
very nice pics..... even my fast connection lags my 'old' computer as far as ram goes. great shots... one of the great benefits of living in California :)

or.. :) dont resize.. :D leave them the way i like them
|
Holy mother of god............that is tottaly insane......I drooled...shat my pants....pissed my pants.....lost concence.....dropped dead......and blacked out....woke up drooling even more.........
That is heaven on heaven....not heaven on earth...that is heavan in heavan..... if you get a job there, then your a CHAMP mate! |

It is written in Python with a little GUI where you browse for an image folder, target folder and specify max width/height. Then click "resize" and site back. I tested with 62 X 1MB files in 17 seconds on a Pentium 4 1.8GHz. That should be fast enough...8) |
Sounds great, I could use a program like that. Let me know when its up. :D
|
Dang it would be nice to have a program that can work together with photoshop, you just give him a directory and it could, resize, sharped, adjust color balance and contrast, warm up a little the picture, do a small black frame around the pic, put the JW logo on them and make its layer only 80% visible LOL :D
(I did all these actions for the 300+ pics covering the Geneva motorshow :D) |
Actually TT - I can do most of that...
But it will require a bit of development and that I do not have time for unfortunately. But I may look into it for fun at some point... |
LOL don't worry ;) I love to work on every single pictures, cropping it like it should and so on ;)
|
pix are down lol
|
^shouldve gotten here sooner then
|
I found the best program so far to do bulk resizing of images. It is much more extensive than my application.
I am trying to create a nice, usable interface for you all to make it painless. All the code I use are either opensource or freeware, so nobody has to worry about illegal software. 8) I should be able to upload soon and will post that confirmation here. |
The program is completed with added functionality for image conversion.
Anyone who wants to use the application should please PM me a request. It is about a 3.5MB download zipped. It does not install and you merely need to unzip it into a folder to run it. It runs on windows and comes with a help file. |
I don;t suppose anyone saved these and feels like winziping them and emailing them to me ( [email protected] ) ?
Thanks so much Chris |
