TT 04-03-2004 04:59 AM

Ok the pics work with the copy and paste :D

Nice car. Never saw one in blue here. Everybody bought it black, yellow or silver.

The wheels are Volks I suppose judging by the urls of the pics, aren't they?

PATo355 04-03-2004 05:30 AM

Nice ride man ... that S4 looks very good , i love the colour , any mods in it ?

sameerrao 04-04-2004 12:39 AM

:) Thanks for all your nice comments.

My baby is bone stock for now and will be so till the expiry of the warranty. My only concession so far has been the wheels - Volk LE37 - 18X8. They are forged aluminium and weigh only 17 lb (v/s 28 lb for stock Audi Avus wheels). They made a huge difference in handling - reduced understeer.

I like the dark blue - its discreet and yet elegant ... suits its Q car nature well ...

Erdmann 04-05-2004 01:17 PM

I do not see any pictures!!! I also want to see your S4 :(

TT 04-05-2004 01:58 PM

Copy and paste the url into a new window, it will work

Erdmann 04-05-2004 02:20 PM

k I saw it. Really really nice car, I like all S-Version Audi´s....(-->S6<--) :D
The old S4 looks very cool, and nice rims you put on it. Welcome the Audi S-Family here. :D :D

Anonymous 05-15-2004 06:50 PM

The S4 it´s a very nice car but i don´t like the way those rims look, i love the original ones.

Anonymous 05-15-2004 07:02 PM

grey rims are the best!!! the original ones are too flat and look like Volkswagon wheels

cho_888 05-16-2004 06:26 AM

Héhé np mate,

Firefox is a masterpiece ... I'm shure you'll enjoy the integrated popup blocker and the Tabbed browsing (Press CTRL+T you'll see :p).
Firefox is totally open source and free. No licence at all.

^^^^^^ you could have opened another thread instead of hijacking this one, and first of all we need some proof that its really your car, you know, a custom pic.

And I only noticed it now, that this is an OLD thread

komotar 10-25-2004 04:00 PM

Nice car, but I don't like the wheels.

They yell porsche. Almost the same.

Like the colour.

The car also looks to be in good shape?

How many miles does it have?

pzgren 10-25-2004 04:01 PM

oh, i thought it would be ok if i continue here with an other s4. i have a lot of pics of my car, so what do you mean with custom pic?

they have the same specifications then the porsche wheels, but their not from porsche an thats why the cost half of the porsche price. the manufacturer is rh.
i have now 71000km..

i just opened another thread, as you told me

c0wb0y007 10-25-2004 04:46 PM

Stunning estate man :) !!!

The porsche brake upgrade is very welcome on such cars, and besides I geuss that those brakes can be very convenient when you are driving on those mountain roads

In my opinion, I think that each Audi S or RS car has to come with a Porsche braking system just like the good old RS2.

Lots of luck with the car, I hope you are able to enjoy it for years.

bmw745ion19s 10-25-2004 05:57 PM

I'm not too big on the wheels but a nice car none the less. :D

nurbrun 10-25-2004 06:18 PM

lovly car and awsome rims. the colour on those rimssuits the car perfectly

sameerrao 10-25-2004 07:40 PM

Pzgren,

Nice car! Love the brakes - are they the Big Reds? Or 993 TT brakes?

I would have gone for slotted and not drilled considering the weight of the piggy :) and the subsequent torture of the brakes but very nice anyway ....

Spotless interior too - very cool!

g_force 10-25-2004 11:44 PM

very smart looking ride sameerrao, the color really suits it :)

I am not sure if you are refering to the Yellow one or the Dark Blue S4 - the latter is mine...

Skaala 12-13-2004 07:54 AM

don't you need a front licenseplate in texas?

sameerrao 11-12-2006 07:22 PM

^^ Yes - a motorcycle cop recently reminded of this while he proceeded to give me a citation ... crappy bastard!

Well my car celebrated its 5th birthday in Aug 2005 - she still looks great for a car half a decade old. She has been very reliable so far - no breakdowns and has soldiered through snow, rain, thunderstorms and is happy to run into triple digit speeds given an open road and an ace driver leading up front (RC45) on the country roads of Texas that he knows like the back of his hands.

Maintenance wise I must have spent about $2200 so far including service, oil changes every 5000 miles and fresh rubber. In addition I had spent about $1200 on a set of 18" forged wheels and tires.

Here is a pic of her taken in April 2006 just front of the infamous Yoda ;)
http://img296.imageshack.us/img296/2...0376wl7.th.jpg

I dont think I will get rid of her anytime soon unless I happen to need the money badly.

The good news is that my S4 is very likely to receive a new stablemate before the end of the year. It is still early days from a car hunt and negotiation standpoint. So be patient.

Any guesses as what it could be - I want make and model? Hint: It is a sportscar

Mazda Mx5/miata? :P

sameerrao 11-12-2006 07:29 PM

Zoom Zoom Zoom!

I am not going bash the Mazda - it is a great sportscar and perhaps the best car to learn how to race on a circuit .

But it aint an MX5 for me :)

sameerrao 11-12-2006 07:39 PM

Nope! That will be a bit too brutal for me - I want to be able to drive it to work on occasion and not do some minor gymnastics to get it. Besides the car I want has more cylinders, far better sound, etc.

dingo 11-12-2006 07:41 PM

That rules out a WRX then, which would of course be your best choice. :P

Ferrari 355???

TopGearNL 11-12-2006 07:43 PM

Bmw Z3? :P
