My three joy-rides!
I'm so impressed reading posts of people having the most exotic sportscars I can imagine, and three post later some other post reveals them to be lying...
No use to be bragging, since I'll probably never meet any of yous... I'll impress you with my nice cars then: I have three awesome cars: :| 1990 W124 Mercedes 200 E, with the big 118 HP engine! What a wonderful autobahn machine! All these extras: 412 electric sliding roof with tilting device 420 4-speed automatic transmission with tempomat 466 central locking system 531 automatic antenna 570 front armrest, folding 583 electric window lifters 591 heat-insulating glass, all-around, heated rear window pane, single-sheet safety glass 620 exhaust emission control 281 leather steering wheel with sports design and gearshift in leather trim 750 radio Europa 2000 873 seat heater 265 elimination of sign (Too shameful to have a 200E) 512 almandine red 265 mushroom leather interior I also have the rare, hardcore sportscar Mazda Miata year 1990. It has a 1,6 - 16V 116 HP engine, B - pack equipment. The equipment is: Cruise control, Airbag, Headrest speakers, Limited Slip differential, 5,5"' * 14" alloys with large 185/60-14" tyres, Power windows, Power steering, Air condition(you sure need that in a convertible car in Norway, NOT!) The car is the very rare color combination "classic red" exterior and "black cloth" interior. Woha, collectors beware! My third car is a 2000 Volkswagen Transporter 2,5 TDI, but hey, it's not the ultrafast 102HP TDI, my one is badged with a blue "I" after "TD", so it ain't got no intercooler, it has only got 88 HP. Its a mover... lawn mower maybe? I guess none of you guys dare to race me? Chickens, huh... :D Nice first post or what? 8) |
alright sir
|
At least somebody did reply...
|
Hello 8)
Set of solid cars you have there! |

|
But he must have seen the endless posts about this, he couldn't miss them could he
:? :? :? |

Hi,
I think these are very good cars...Especially the Mercedes W124,...it is the best Car MB ever made. I work for Mercedes Benz and it is no problem to run them 500.000 km and they still do 200 km/h (with the right engine) on the Motorway. And brembo,...you are damm right :D |
I just drove a W211 E220T CDI for ha whole day, and then drove my 14 year old 124 and it felt like new! I love it! The old Mercedes are better than the new ones in many ways. (not all)
In Norway fast/big engine cars are so expensive! I really hate that! For instance: Passat W8 USA: 40 000 USD Norway: 125 000 USD |
Yeah thats right,...yesterday I had to drive to another City on work, and they gave me a W211 E 320 CDI. Sorry, but it was not that bad. I drove it on the motorway ( no speed limits in Germany :)) ) and it was so fast. It was amazing how fast it went from 120 km/h to 230 km/h. But I still say that the W124´s are better :D .

I picked up my "fast" 200E i Wilhelmshaven my self. On my way home to Norway my father "pushed me" with his M270CDI all the way, I had to keep it above 5500rpm all the way from Wilhelmshaven to Hirtshals... My 124 had one "alter herr geboren 1928" owner who picked the car up at the factory himself. I paid double price for the car, 6000 EUR, but it's so "like new" it was worth it. (This was in easter 2003) |
I have to agree that the old mercedes cars were a thing of mechanical genious. I seem to be seeing more and more of the newer ones in the shop though. Seems that Mercedes wants to have Jaguars old reputation in that area...not sure why though...and I really seriously doubt that their decline had anything to do with the merger since they seemed to be having increasing mechanical problems prior to it... Anyways that Mazda sounds like a fun car. any pics by chance?

hey if someone chooses to lie on here. Who really gives a crap. At the end of the day they have it or they dont. We each have our rides to enjoy. Pics are nice but you know what they can be faked too, and very easily I might add. SO just remeber this is all a faith and honesty thing. If you choose to lie so be it, but dont go around accusing everyone who doesnt' have a pic of their ride up of being dishonest. Someone might thing that you are projecting your own dishonesty on someone else.

This is my three joy rides, huh, huh... They are parked outside my old house. We still live there, but 15 juli we will rent out the blue house and move to the red house on the next picture.
http://images.cardomain.com/member_i...587_1_full.jpg New house snapped through old 124's front window: (note A-pole in lower left on picture) http://images.cardomain.com/member_i...587_4_full.jpg Three car garage with three windows plus 5 windows in the gate. Can't wait to move in. Only ten km's from old house. My exotic sportscar: (I have a humoristic sense on my poor mans cars) http://images.cardomain.com/member_i...587_3_full.jpg Okai, this was my first picture post. Hope you will remove me from bullshittters corner. Greetings from Norway, the land of small engine exBENZive cars!! |

Well maybe you are right :D I personally love winter, but well, here in Switzerland it's for sure way more forgiving thatn in your country ;)
|
Well well!
Now I've had my "red rocket" on the road for a month or so! I was at a standstill in a parking lot, and this crappy looking Ford Scorpio Estate is reversing towards my Mazda! Oh no, I slam the horn: hooooonk! And he stops 10 cm (3in.) from my front left wing! Puh, thats a close one I think. Then the dude looks around, doesn't se me, and starts reversing even more! I slam the horn again, and he hits my front wing! DAMN! "Your car is so small, I could hardly see you!" he said... Then I replyed: "I see you have child seats in your car, I bet MY CAR IS BIGGER THAN YOUR KID!" "Uh, oh, guess your right, I am very sorry, bla bla bla..." Okai, he's a nice guy, but my first ever sportscar is dented! I'm not happy. His insurance will pay so much, that next winter, in my new 3 car garage 8) I will strip and assamble the car myself, and my car will get one new coat of the original red paint all over! Guess I'm happy after all then! ...and the dent is so small you hardly notice it from a distance! Happy motoring! :D |

I made my own website! :D Look at page 3 for Miata roadtrip pictures! |
nice pics kodvaag ... nice to have ya here ...

Waxed, new pictures
Only waiting for the sun now!
BTW. Saadie: Quote:
My one is a MIATA US import... |
why did you import the american version don't they sell it over there?
|
In USA they sell the MIATA
In Europe they sell the MX-5 In Japan they sell the EUNOS ROADSTER. The US-version has got some pro's and some cons. Pros: Lots of eqipment, like ac, airbag (none in europa version) Cons: Thinner stabiliser bar, softer suspension. (More comfort, less sport) There is a lot of US imports in this country. New cars are very expensive. VW Passat W8 price: USA: 40 000,- USD NORWAY 125 000,- USD. I didn't import it my self. USA is to far! I have been to Germany some times to buy second hand Mercedes. But I havn't been to the USA... yet! |
Nice Mazda you have there. I really is a classic car (and it only 15 years old!) I was wondering, how much did you pay for it?
I now your problems about expensive cars, they ain't much cheaper in Denmark...... But i don't understand what you are saying about the merc's. The one my dad had a 300D couple of years ago, and it was the worst car ever! Sure they can travel a lot of km, and keep driving, but it sure ain't a pleasing ride... And it rust like some shit.... It would much prefer a BMW E34, For 6000 euro you can buy a M5!!!!! |
Well, I don't have the Mazda anymore.
Some guy from Jehovas Witnesess bought it! He came all tha way from Oslo to buy it. (5 hours travel) Bought for 35000 Kr, sold for 65000,- kr! weee, lucky me! I guess around october-november I'll be travelling through your flat country heading for Germany again. This time I'll bring a trailer (tilhenger) and buy two cars: I want: 1996 Mercedes C180T (estate) 1994 Mazda Miata 1,8 Why a C 180 T ???? Year 1998: Norwegian import tax C 180 T : 5900 EUR Norwegian import tax C 55 T : 37300 EUR Norwegain gouverments dream cars: Mercedes S200, BMW 716i, Audi A6 1,4TDI, Chevrolet Tahoe 2 seats (costs 3 times more with 5 seats, try to understand it) :fist: Thats life. But I still live in Norway after all... It's nice here though! |
i love that merc man! im glad you are going to get urself another
!!!~ |

Nice to see someone is spamming my thread!
My current Miata: http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y78...9032005014.jpg I have had 7 of theese little cars in one year now, two of the "new" version, and 5 of the old classic NA (MK1) version. The oldest cars are the best, when not for daily use, I think. If you go to this page you can see most of the cars I've had, and all my houses i currently own. http://photobucket.com/albums/y78/kodvaag/ The map picture is just a nice Miata trip in southern Norway. It will happen the first sunday from now on! 19 june 2005 How long do I have to hang around Jabbasworld before I can download anything? Just got a broadband connection here in my new house so... GREETINGS FROM THE LAND OF VIKINGS! |

(edit) and as for the downloading part, I think with just hanging around won't get you to download anything, or else everybody would be able to download. You have to contibute somehow...use your imagination. |

My three joy-rides part 2 (Not the unverified one)
My original thread were closed april 2004, because TT did not belive I owned this three "hot" rides.
Then I made TT open it, by posting some pictures. Now you have made a new section, "UNVERIFIED". Well, thats nice. There I find my thread! Thanks to Dan\/6. Please look at the new pictures, for your eyes only, JW fans! But who will verify "Dan\/6" for me? Somebody post a picture of Dan\/6 with his birth sertificate and social security number please, so we can verify that he is a real person. The Mercedes key is in the VW picture, look close. (do not look too close, then you will see what a mess it's inside my VW) http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y78...3082005016.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y78...3082005014.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y78...3082005012.jpg |
