There was a rumor of a Carrera GT replacement few years back, but in a lower down market. Perhaps this is a preview.

Ignore the green though.

This concept car produces 500hp from a 3.4L V8 from the Le Mans Prototype with electric motors that produce additional 218hp. The motors themselves can power the car independently.

Such a shame, It's about time Porsche makes a replacement for Carrera GT. Don't get me wrong, I think it's a great car, but It's getting older.

Wow, that really is an extraordinary looking car. Hard times make it harder to have it fit the business model for VW I suppose.

Very attractive car, but not typically Porsche, with that simplicity and purity of lines. This looks somewhat overdone for a porsche.

Best looking porsche ive seen since the 944 turbo. They really ought to build it

I used to think I was weird for lusting after a 944 Turbo:thumbup: glad I'm not the only one that likes the looks!

After you crash in one while chasing your own stolen car, you like it less... I still like them :)

It's actually a damn good car, very fast for its day (even though today an RS Focus should be able to beat it in a straight line).

Watching that Top Gear episode actually supported my view that I was a bit weird!

There are building the 918 Spyder and they have a plan to build a new midengine topmodell further on!!! :-)

Rumor has it the 918 is having a VERY difficult time getting pre-order deposits in. $800,000 is a lot harder to swallow than the 450k +- the CGT was.

Not to mention the car hasn't really shown us anything to get excited about.
