i love the back not so sure about the side vents at he front. A good car plaently of power and look to have a desent top speed

oscargarza88 01-27-2004 11:29 PM

the side reminds me of the lexus, it pretty good but i too dont like alot the side, but eveything else i do like, just imagine how m=fast it must go with a v8! :!:

coloradosilver 01-27-2004 11:31 PM

The interior reminds me of an SLR, not that thats a bad thaing, but I remember it being called "plactic" and "cheap" on top gear.

budagboy2 01-27-2004 11:32 PM

i remember tiff saying that the engine in the cl65 was to big for the chassi hopefully this isnt the same case

Chaos in 1983! 01-27-2004 11:59 PM

I'm not crazy about the front nose...I do like the headlights though...from the side it does remind the SC430...but I really like the rear...I think it's a big improovement form the last one...this one looks a lot more exotic...and also more masculine...the old one was considered a chick car...and this one is 5.5 V8...wow...that car must be fast...I can't wait to see it for real...there are tons of SLKs around here...so I guess I'll be seing one sooner or later...

zevolv 01-28-2004 12:04 AM

I love this car it's a "poor" man's SLR and I like it more than the present SLK

DeMoN 01-28-2004 12:16 AM

nice job there I must admit. Soon, though, the roads will be flooded with it and the SLR will lose ist toutch

Cornutu 01-28-2004 12:53 AM

I like it but I don't like the resemblance to the Lexus sports car which i think sucks.

oantob 01-28-2004 06:44 AM

I like the design but from the side view it's a bit SC430..
I hope the V-8 will be kompresor included...

WhiteP 01-28-2004 07:09 AM

The guages look really nice..
The roof looks like a SC430
The whole thing gives me a feel of Mini SLR :P

TRUE DAT! Don't you forget: it was Lexus that copied Mercedes, and never the other way around!

Hehe ok, but the SC was around for quite a while.. the new SLK was just showed.. so it's normal to say the SLK55 seems a Lexus SC... of course I doubt Merc copied Lexus shapes intentionally... but still :D

dylan99 01-28-2004 02:47 PM

The Lexus is nothing compared to the Mercedes SLK

scubywrxr 01-28-2004 03:41 PM

It needs to be manual, lightweight and have fantastic driver feedback through the steering and brakes.. leave the cruising for the sl 55..

jeroen40 01-28-2004 03:46 PM

haha I agree, now explain that to the big german boss...

Sachmo12345 01-28-2004 05:32 PM

nice ass but the face isnt to great

Evo 01-30-2004 08:27 AM

The car somehow looks like a baby SLR..

I like it , espacilly if they are going to put a v8 5.5l supercharged AMG engine in their..

neday15 01-31-2004 06:51 PM

When does it come out? And do yall think the 55 will cost alot more than the current 32?

The SLK55 will unfortunately don't have the kompressor. Propably because if it hade it would kick the SL 55.s ass.

mazmazmaz1 02-02-2004 07:20 PM

Way better than the previous SLK. The front and rear are amazing.

They are only making 350 SLRs give or take a few......I dont see how it will lose its touch

dylan99 02-08-2004 11:18 PM

This a good question. Furthermore, I would like to pick up a low mileage SLK32 or C32 when these new 55's hit the dealers. Should be able to get a decent deal on a blown benz.

revvv_pshhh 02-14-2004 04:54 AM

i personally think this the slk's were womans car, now with this its a different story. I like it and you know its gotta have at least 450 hp on that light car, woah! :!: :!: :!:

martin100 02-14-2004 12:42 PM

Yes! This SLK looks so much better than the old one. And the fact that it is from AMG speaks for itself. Another awesome car from the worlds greatest car manufacturer :!:

CMonakar 02-14-2004 07:22 PM

The interior is very impressive looking. In particular I like the door pulls/arm rests. It's a shame they don't offer it with a manual.

gucom 02-14-2004 07:29 PM

hmmmmm IMO this car lacks agressive looks.....
those side mirrors remind me of Seal's flaps(dont ask me why), and the nose is too round for me.
rear looks good though.
still nowhere near my dream car top 100
