true true, the hood just make it look way too much of a rice car. other then that it look fine.

pulsars are a pretty quick car,IMO there one of those cars that u see and dont expect them to be so quick.in black they look awesome.get some nice rims on them and they look a lot better.

came with 220hp,0-60 in 5.4 and top speed of about 145mph i think,so they aint a slouch

tigerx 01-26-2004 10:44 PM

i've never ever saw one here in canaduh, do they sell them here or maybe the states? i've only read about it in EVO mag.

hemi_fan 01-26-2004 11:10 PM

wow, pulsars look really different in europe compared to here. My aunt owned a pulsar for a while. They are similar to MR2s, except I dont think they are mid-engined. The look similar at least.

SamuraiGti 01-26-2004 11:27 PM

In portugal it's called Sunny.

Sunny 2.0 GTI-R
0-60 5.4 sec
BHP [per tonne] 220 [180]
Top Speed 140
Engine 4 cylinder, DOHC, 1998 turbo
Kerb Weight 1236kg

jeroen40 01-27-2004 07:26 AM

oehh very nice car indeed!
how much does it costs in europe?
In holland we just have the 1.6 16v gti :( maybe time to go shopping somewhere else...

undien717 01-28-2004 12:58 AM

Yes- that hood needs to go

Takeshi_Nakazato 01-28-2004 06:09 PM

That first picture looks pretty damn good, with those red liped rims. I've always liked those cars

he7lius 01-28-2004 07:37 PM

Sometimes i don't get it. Why would you spend money on a car as ugly as this one??

No, we don't. There was also a two litre GTI (143 hp) and the GTI-R (223 hp and 4WD). Of that last one Nissan sold only 20 to 25 cars in our country.

SamuraiGti 01-28-2004 09:27 PM

I don't think that car is ugly. There cars even more ugly than that!

I know where there is a used one in red, if I had money probably i'd took him because of his price and kilometers that it have. it's on the isle of madeira, you need half an hour to cross the island, so doesn't have so much kilometers

Ralliart 01-29-2004 09:52 PM

The Sunny GTI-R was used in the early nineties I believe as a World Rally Car entry by Nissan. Not very reliable and didn't last very long, over heating I think was one of the major problems.

I know what you mean the same as how I like the way an EVO or a Sklyline looks its not beautiful like a Ferrari but its still kinda nice to look at

how could i miss this topic, one of my all time fav cars!

and for ya information that PULSSSAR picture on the first page is NOT a GTiR, it lives in the same city as me, it is just a simple pulsar SSS with a sr20 nissan engine in it, (i dont even think it has a quad throtle body setup on the engine) defentley one of my all time fav cars!

TT 02-01-2005 09:40 AM

GTR, please, on JW if you talk about your car, you first need to post a custom shot (see the dedicated part of the forum).

And digging up this old topic wasn't that clever afterall.. sorry but :lock:
