hmm now these images look more realistic to the capability of the PS2, the images I have seen before were way to good even for XBOX.

hemi_fan 01-24-2004 02:28 PM

lol, wtf is that in the 4th pic!?! it looks like it'd be fun to drive if u souped it up to 200hp or so.

TT 01-24-2004 03:15 PM

Hehe no need to soup up that 5 Turbo .. it seems the one from 1984... 350 hp :D

jeroen40 01-24-2004 03:21 PM

4th pic? some sort of mini japanese van/pickup, with probably more than 250hp.....
the renault 5 turbo is a great car! even the road going version is motherfast, I thought 1.4l with 160 or so hp in that little machine!! :D

yg60m 01-24-2004 03:21 PM

I am waiting for it with impatience !! I bought the PS2 for GT3 and now GT4 ...
It should have been there on the end of 2003 but was delayed :(

TT 01-24-2004 03:22 PM

Ah LMAO my bad the 4th one is the Midjet LOL not the R5 ... sorry

crochico 01-24-2004 05:24 PM

I sincerely prefer Lancia Delta S4, but the Renault is cool too.

Correction its a Midget II ;).

But I think that the ps2 is capable of more if the programmers actually use all the capabilities of the ps2.

TT 01-24-2004 05:28 PM

LOL okok ; knew it was "II".. but ok, I mispelled the "get" part LOL I admit ;)

maalox 01-24-2004 11:56 PM

Man can't wait to try out that Midget!! Haha why do they even bother including it?! Is it famous for some reason?

crazidude 01-25-2004 12:56 AM

I think its used to fill up the crap class for the game. Something affordable, or they could've just added it for the humour. It may be famous for something, but I haven't heard of the Midget until now.

zevolv 01-25-2004 12:59 AM

Maybe there will be a Midget series with like 5 races that would be awesome or maybe an indurance like the miata race in GT3 all stock baby, that was the worst race in that game.

crazidude 01-25-2004 01:10 AM

lol the miata race was horrid. I don't think they should've even made one, I mean the miata isn't that great that it diserves its own race. It should've been something like a Corvette or Viper because they didn't have their own type of race in the game. But I would love to have a midget race if it isn't an endurance thing.

You can also drive the Midget in GT2 :D

cho_888 01-25-2004 06:51 AM

'not really sure if its worth buying a PS2 over i am very happy with PRG2

DeMoN 01-25-2004 02:28 PM

Anyone else think that the previous pictures when the game was in beta had better pics? These screencaps are quite a dissapointment when compared to the previous ones...

coloradosilver 01-25-2004 02:34 PM

Gotta love that Corvette. Then again, I'm partial.

Bilal786 01-25-2004 02:55 PM

I just hope that GT4 has the sounds of the car modeled accurately. GT3 had a generic sound for every car, very boring. Need for speed hot pursuit has a very very realistic sound engine, everything from the corvette's V8 burble, to the F50's and CGT's F1 wail is covered.

The sound of the SL55 AMG shouldn't be a problem, since Gran Turismo's creator has one. :D

McLarenF1God 01-26-2004 03:13 AM

WOW! I had caps on and Jabbasworld reminded me to turn it off! How sweet!!! Wow...thanks. I can't wait to be a regular.

Anyways, I play PGR2 online all of the time and it's just fantastic, but GT4 will also be online with 500+ cars, customization, 50 tracks, rally racing! Oh man. By the way. GT4 has a McLaren F1 Fina longtail.

I'd post but I'm not a member... :( Sorry >_<

Anile8er 01-26-2004 07:05 AM

I agree with you on that one. I thought the only car in GT3 that stood out with it's own distinctive sound was the GT40 - the only classic car I actually like the look of.

I wish they would release it for PC. I guess I'll have to buy a PS2 or X-box

I find the sounds quite good, and very different between engine types and sizes - especially the way the sounds alter with various engine and exhaust mods - as well as changing from inside to outside the car...

veilsidebr 01-29-2004 09:22 PM

GT4 is just awesome...

Arancia 01-30-2004 06:01 AM

GT4

I have only 2 original PS2 games
