Need for speed prostreet

What do you all think about this new ea game?

Pokiou 11-11-2007 09:20 PM

^^^ retract which statement that its crap or its good ??? cause i didnt really like it....nothing beats NFS: Porsche Unleashed!

pagani 11-16-2007 05:23 PM

I think it looks very good and i have played almost all the need for speed games
And i liked the need for speed most wanted game that was cool.
But i hated need ford speed underground games to much riced out for taste but need for speed pro street looks like a more serious game.
:drool::rolleyes:

LEXION 11-16-2007 06:25 PM

good graphics, good playing mode, crappy game story, crappy game. Sorry EA, but get back and make REAL CAR RACING GAMES!

However, seems like they're bringing back some scenic tracks in the middle of mountains and what not. That's what NFS used to be like and hopefully this one will be more like that.

EDIT: I just played the demo and I retract my previous statement. :D

Nope, it's all about "track days", no country roads or mountain passes. The physics are crap as usual as of late, very arcady and no fun. System specs seem quite steep too judging by the fact that the graphics aren't really mind blowing.

Bring back the car selection criteria from the Hot Pursuit editions, use physics from Porsche Unleashed and ignore the lame tuning !!!

-Akshay- 11-17-2007 12:42 AM

Total Lame, Rubbish, repitative, boring, small game.
Finished in like 7hrs.

No doubt. I played it on my PS2 to test it out for about 20 mins and also downloaded the X360 demo and it was fun for a while but just kinda boring. The 360/PS3 graphics are nice though. Physics wise it was kinda weird some cars at lower level handle better while another car of same level handle like shit and when in fact it should have handled better. I havent had time or the plans to play it again anytime soon though. Just sucks, and that damn burnout shit is very annoying when you just wanna race. Also there is a good thing such as changing car settings but I havent really messed with it yet. Didn't bother much with Autosculpt or painting or bodykits or any of that either. Also the game lags like shit on PS2.
*EDIT*
Also the damn commentor is annoying always mentioning the main characters name. I think thats his bitch or something.

DeMoN 11-29-2007 09:06 PM

gamestop says its good so i might rent it soon.

Its fun but there are just a few little things that annoy me thats all.
Anyways what system you getting it for the PS3?
I played on my friends 360 and it was fun and played it on the PS3 at walmart for a bit. Didnt really notice anything different speed or graphics wise.

r2r 11-29-2007 09:39 PM

I feel the same way as I did about 4 or 5 (I lost count) previous NFS games: couldn't care less!

They all played worse after NFS Porsche Unleashed... and they all stopped being fun after NFS Hot Pursuit 2

yep, that pretty much sums it up!

RC45 12-12-2007 05:10 PM

I bought it for the PS3 after mucking about with the demo. It is actually rather fun, and a "realistic" in the sense you do need to slow a little and turn properly.

And the other "reasistic" part I like is if you crash your car on race day - it is crashed until youfix it - even if you "restart" a race :) hehe

Adds a nice touch.

volkoff 12-12-2007 06:53 PM

Rubish and boring, just a nicer copy of the first underground. A big step back

I liked that about NFS Porsche Unleashed. You had to fix the car if you wrecked it. IDK if I like the fact that if you restart a race it is still crashed.

I gotta try it out, one of my friends swears by it.

Be prepared that it is a stress relief/release "game" - not much of sim... more setup to be fun - and the mix of cars is great fun as well.

ViperASR 12-13-2007 01:12 PM

I downloaded the demo last night. Its no fun... NFS has become an arcade game at best, even that gives it more credit than due.

What part was so dissapointing? Did you flag the M3 through the desert for some not-as-unrealistic-as-NFS-ricer-edition racing?

I am having a bit of fun with it :)

T-Bird 12-13-2007 04:05 PM

I thought the game was fun. I got my Supra into the 6's and I'm happy now. The Mazdaspeed3 isn't very well done though. The quarter mile times are very inaccurate.

I didnt crash or anything, I just didnt like the way it "felt". Trying to slide the car and all that was just too ghetto for my taste.

Also, the NOS was a little off:laugh:

pilotvtm 12-13-2007 05:49 PM

you cant call this a game...
Richard Burns Rally is a game :D

Actually the best NFS game was the "NFS Hot Pusuit 2" ( the first nfs game that came out on ps2). It had all the exotic cars and beautiful scenery and twisty tight roads unlike the previous nfs games which had "free roam"

UMMMMMm

did you play NFS 5 Porsche Unleashed, or NFS 3, or NFS 3 Hot persuite? they all had that as well ;)

(while porsche unleashed only had porkers to drive, but just about all of them :) )

Firdosh7747 12-13-2007 07:12 PM

yes i have played all fo them and i think nfs hot pursuit 2 was the best and everything after that was just dissapointing

HeilSvenska 12-13-2007 07:26 PM

The only saving grace for Hot Pursuit 2 (except for the cars) was the fact that you can easily hack the car performance file and make 10,000hp Elises and stuff. Otherwise, I'd say Porsche Unleashed was the best. I was intrigued by Pro Street, but if the whole free-roaming gimmick is gone, forget it.

NFS HP2 was ok on the consoles, on a PC with a FFB wheel, the game didn't make any sense, and was ZERO fun IMO. PU worked perfect with the FFB wheel..

sentra_dude 12-13-2007 07:37 PM

Hmm, if you skip to the last part of that youtube vid there is some cool footage of Porsches drifting at Leipzig...

RC45 12-17-2007 02:21 AM

Oh - I probably should have mentioned that this game uses the G25, the H-Gate, 900 degrees of rotation, full clutch and all.

And that with all assists off, it is actually a bit of fun - and especially the drag races - as you have to actually drive the car properly to win ;)

rave426 12-27-2007 11:36 AM

Best NFS's were NFS2 *awsome soundtrack with twisted-sounding music* , NFS PU, and NFS HP/HP2..........actually I didnt play NFS3 much so I cant vow for that one.
