DEMO RELEASE on Japanese store: October 20th
FULL GAME RELEASE JP: December 13th EU: December US: TBD http://www.gran-turismo.com/en/gt5p/ http://www.tsurugi.co.uk/misc/ps3/gr...s/mygarage.jpg So now....how the hell do I get myself a Japanese account...someone plz upload it to somewhere... :!: answered my own question How to Create Japanese psn account |
so is the prologue is free?
or only the demo of the prologue is free and the full version of prologue u need to pay? this is confusing |
3 versions...
Prologue Demo - free Prologue.......... - not free GT5.................. - not free how's that so confusing |
Whats the diffrence between the demo and full prologue? Think its time to wipe the dust of my playstation.
|
demo I think is just one track (suzuka), 16 cars
prologue is 20 tracks, 16 cars, online play gt5 is full game obviously |
Screw the prologue.. PD is just milking the franchise for everything its got, taking advantage of everyone who will buy the prologue and then full version of the game.
With that said.. I'm jealous that I do not have a PS3 so I can play the demo |
Oh man, oh man, oh man, oh man! I'll probably end up living at my friend's house from saturday!
*I'm in love with this picture! http://www.gran-turismo.com/jp/binar.../1179/p08a.jpg **Dang, it's for Japanese release only right now, isn't it? bummer. |

Seems odd there would be no Ferrari in the demo of Prologue.
I would imagine it is part of the contract with Ferrari that they have a presence in all verison of the game - afterall, they appear in every piece of promotional media. |
Corvette getting boring already ... need a taste of a real car ?
btw the demo is now UP |
Well, now that you mention it, it is feeling a little slow at moment, I could use another 250bhp just for the thrill.
|
u can throw as many horsepowers at it as u want , its still going to be a corvete  :P
man this dl is taking forever |

oh and I'll dust your old texas yello ragged lame bitch ass...wait...oh ya...i'll rock in gt5 0X u'll have to wait till dec tho.....man typing on the controller is so worthless 30% :| |
30%? Are you on dial up?
|
no...wirelss router that the ps3 thinks has dns problem :(

If your PS3 is using its wireless NIC, you are experiencing one of the the reasons why I did NOT buy a wireless 60GB PS3. The wireless network card shares the same signal as the bluetooth wireless bridge. If you are wired, then maybe its defaulted to 10mb? |
nah...its only become an issue since 1.92...and the 1.93 did shit...so hopefully sony fixes it wit 2.0
50% ;( partially my fault.....nhl 08 froze up besides I have wifi....AND 2 more usb ports + does the 20 even have hdmi.......u lose again sir :P |
Hmm.. cannot figure out how to save the replays.. :(
Opponents include Viper GTS, Mustang GT, NSX, GT-R, R8, Z4and what looks like some CLio Turbo thing. Photomode deoms look amazing, as does the on-track demo lapping Daytona speedway and Fuji speedway (I think). |

HDMI is standard PS3 - You only have a 60GB drive? I have already upgraded my 100GB to a 160GB drive :) I don't lose... I just slow down to let the backmarkers catch up ;) |
yes almost there 55%
|
just like the vetter ... it doesn't matter how man gb u buy ... it will always be just the cheap entry model :P

Why pay for what you dont need or will not use? The 1080p on the 60" Sony is still just as good as the 1080p from over-priced 60GB PS3. Only 50%? Must suck. BTW there are in car views as well... |
Ithink u mean 58% must suck.... :(
|
There are butterflies flying around the grass in the ruins of the castle of the one Photomode demo... pretty neat looking.
This new GT-R plows like a freaking John Deere tractor.... |
dammit ...must dl faster
|
Hmm.. won race in each of the unlocked cars, and did not unlock the locked cars.
Oh well, off to load the van with the race tyres, jack and other tools for tomorrows real track day. |
demo is shit...2 laps, no online lap chart...just worthless arcade mode, where u beat the 1 st car by the time u get to the bridge...AI is the same as GT4, completely useless :?...it just doesn't ram u aimlessly to get back on the line
|
apparently the locked cars will become available through out the Tokyo show
well even though this demo is mad short its a lot of fun knocking out the other cars into the gravel traps...lol in car view is really good... 8) |

|
yup that's the only hope...the prologue is suppose to have online play (December)...well we'll c....but as of right now, 8th to 1, takes 8 corners at Suzuka...with a 24s advantage at the end of 2 laps (GTR)
|
well I guess I should of thought of this sooner but changing the tires makes more competitive...duh...still don't like that u only get 2 laps...but at least its tougher now
cool vid he seens to screw up a lot but at least he's got the pedals down :P |
how do you unlock the cars? And I'm not able to get in-car view... tried to change view with the standard select button... can anyone help?
|
the car's will unlock following the Tokyo Motorshow...the incar view is avail only for the BMW, that hot dog car, and the Evo...hit select until u reach the incar view...
|
thanks
|
crap!...no R8 in the demo....just played through a couple of races. I have incar on all the cars....
|
GT5 TV is pretty nice.
They have a couple SD and HD videos available now. Very clever idea. But I forsee The hidden cars are now open - and there was a great video show of the unveiling of each one. |
^^^ Im going to try to DL it when I get back home!
|
The cars look insanely real, cant believe it!!
|
The game is a system seller, the demo is not :)

You can go ahead and enjoy the benefits a full 18 months longer then me, and I'm fine with that :P |

Sadly, the physics of this game will no way be close to how real these cars look. |
^^
and you base this on....? |
How GT4 and GT:HD played. We've had discussions like this on other threads before. I think it's generally accepted that GT series and the Forza series aren't that realistic. Definitely not compared to how real they look (which is pretty real). It'll be better than NFS or PGR or maybe Forza (maybe not...probably not?). Unless Gran Turismo people redid the entire physics engine (maybe they did), even still, I doubt that they changed it around too much from the GT4. Especially with the huge fan base this game has.
|
so what you're saying is that not having played the demo nor the prologue itself...and basing your opinion on a ps2 game you've come to the conclusion that it won't have a realistic feel to it...y not play it before judging something you know nothing about...or watching the movie before saying it sucks...the physics were NEVER a problem with gt series...AI, yes that is worthless...no damage, that is a problem...
your opinion of how the car will feel based of a few pics...lunacy...stop bashing things you know nothing of...or at least back it up with some facts...or a review |

By the way, I didn't say what I said from couple of pics that I just saw this morning. I've had that thought for a while ever since I spent entire vacations playing GT4. (All lost because someone lost the memory card with months' worth of work on it!!!) So I'll be fair. How does it feel compared to GT4 and GT:HD? Is it better? And by how much? |
