Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este, a must see! P4/5...
 

Here, I am, finally back after three days of madness! I was at the Concorso d'Eleganza in Villa d'Este. Probably the best one in Europe and for sure the best location in the world hands down!

First of all, a BIG and I mean, BIG thank you goes to Jabba for helping me getting the press pass that allowed me to access the show the best days: sat and especially friday, instead of Sunday, the public day.

I am still speechless, really. I saw some of the finest machinery ever built in a jaw dropping location and came back probably with some of the most beautiful pics I ever took. It was just perfect! I was there with a couple of friends, one of which is salegosse and that made a great week-end even better.

But well, enjoy this first load. These are the pics from Friday, 204 of them. On Friday many photoshoots take place, but not all the cars come out. Too bad because there was nobody around and the weather was great. I managed to shoot the rest of the cars on Saturday obviously, but harder to get nice pics.

The rest of the pics will follow in the next updates and I can already tell you the next one will be a very special one: a private photoshoot with Zagato new creation :shock:

Hard to pick a favorite from the bunch of rare and beautiful cars on display. I guess I will pick the 250 Cal Spider and the Count Trossi SSK - the Cal Spider for its timeless design and the Count Trossi car for its lovely pontoon fenders. :love:

Of course the P4/5 takes the top prize from modern cars. :love:

WOW... that's just incredible, the location is better than i could dream up in my fantasies, the cars are amazing :D that dodge charger has an almost italian beauty to it, i'd never seen it that way before. the classics are just mindblowing. Thanks a lot!!!

One of my favourites is that Ferrari 250 GT Spyder California. Look at that stunning color :love: :love: :drool: :drool:

The Bizarrini is very beautiful. I'd never seen the Gransport Zagato but it looks great.
The black MC12 is awesome, but it's weird to see that kind of car there :D

That amphibious car is definetely the coolest car there... I just hope it wasn't made by the TG crew :mrgreen:

Great pics! I have always wanted to go to Villa d'Este.

The P4/5 seems to have racked up more miles in stransit than on the road. Hasn't the car been to and fro between Europe and the US a number of time snow?

I think it has already past the 2000 mile mark - pretty good for an exotic also considering all the shows it has been. I remember reading on Fchat he had a TR that he ran for 150K miles or more. I am pretty sure this car will be a driver.

That is my aim with my humble 348 as well - put some good miles on here. So far I have done 3900 miles in 5 months. :D

I'm a sucker for classic ferraris...250 Series is my favourite...every single 250..

And you just happened to see FINE examples of some of the finest models..

I decided to go on sunday early morning, and arrived in the first afternoon, so I never had the occasion to contact you before TT, I'm sorry! :oops:

I had the occasion to meet personally James Glickenhaus, the p4/5 'dad'. He's really kind and car lover. I spoke with him for about 15 minutes, also met his loving wife, made him my congratulations for the concours victory, and finally I had a photo with him and the trophy! 8)

Such a fantastic man and Ferrari owner! Thanks Jim!

The star of that show was the DB4 Zagato....what a beautiful car... I love the classic ferraris, just love them, but out of all the cars I saw in these pictures, i'd take the DB-4 anytime
