I crossed ways with this car again lately. still not sure if it's a real GT2 or not. Inside it's perfect: no rear seats, the GT2 logo, a roll cage, outside the bodykit is there, as well as the badge, but there is that damn whiper. Either it added it to his GT2, either it's a very well modded TT. I named it "Turbo" just to be sure :bah:

Good eye on the GT2 there TT. You are correct about the rear wiper, but perhaps it was an option(?). Nice NSX sightings, they rnt that rare around here though :bah:

That's why I said it might be a GT2 with the whiper "ADDED" or an heavily modded TT

Hints, well. My biggest fear when in MC is posting pics identical to the ones we see from the regular hunters there.
Sadly, well, as you know, it can't be helped. MC is small, and most of the time the nice cars are in the same old places.
And if you want to see them all, you HAVE to be in the Place du Casino. either in front of the casino or on the other side of the big roundabout as I did.
You already know the drill: Hotel de Paris, Hermitage, Bay, Beach, Meridien, ex Loews, the garages, Grimaldi forum in your case ;) & the marina. Walk, walk, walk :D
But well, I still think the only way to see them all or 90% of them is never leaving place du casino. Tnhe of course you'll end up with pics like this:

I like to say on the opposite side of the roundabout, but not under the little balcony, but right against the cars parked there, so I can get the cars going down or coming up from the GP route:

The most "extreme" as a matter of "different" from other MC shooters was to place myself on the road in front and above the Bay Hotel

Another word about the Porsche. I think it may be a Turbo, beause of the red break calipers.
The GT2 has yellow ones, hasn't it?!

To add a whiper is one thing, but why would someone "downgrade" his GT2 with normal breaks instead of the GT2-standard carbon ceramic breaks?

This would be for TT:
To easily tell the difference between a Turbo and GT2 look at the front wheels. If they have a half-shaft to each from a front diff then its a 996TT. No front diff then very likely a GT-2

Hate to disappoint once again but the first batch of GT2's in Europe (2001) had steel brakes. Also since PCCB Gen 1. had major issues many owners swapped out for steel sets.

Yes, those pics were taken in August or maybe early September ... 2005 :!: :!: I was still using the Pro 1 actually, and although I did have the polarizer for it and used it on some of these pics, I didn't use it 100% of the time since that camera was more sensible to ISO noise than a reflex :bah:

GT2 definitely has no rear wipers!

@harryo2b i also know from several GT3 owners which switched from PCCB to Steelbrakes because they were not happy with them...

The PCCB's would be awesome to have on my car but hearing them on a C2S squealing it made me cringe to hear that every time it braked.

As for the wipers. See my above post the GT2 did have wipers as an option (Option M425) :wink:

To settle the Turbo/GT2 debate once and for all! TT, get the VIN and you can call any Porsche dealer and ask them what it is. They will gladly tell you. If not PM it to me and I can get it figured out.
