Apr 16: NSX, 575M, 964RS, 348...
And here we are with a new street-update.
Kinda lame to look at it after having spent two days in Monte Carlos and having seen so many mad cars, but wlel, I hope you'll enjoy anyway! NSXs are so rare around here! http://www.jabbasworld.net/photopost...da_NSX_013.jpg http://www.jabbasworld.net/photopost...da_NSX_015.jpg I crossed ways with this car again lately. still not sure if it's a real GT2 or not. Inside it's perfect: no rear seats, the GT2 logo, a roll cage, outside the bodykit is there, as well as the badge, but there is that damn whiper. Either it added it to his GT2, either it's a very well modded TT. I named it "Turbo" just to be sure :bah: http://www.jabbasworld.net/photopost..._Turbo_468.jpg Typical Swiss combo with two best sellers around here http://www.jabbasworld.net/photopost...G_R230_241.jpg Mad 575, race prepped. You saw pics of it already when I posted the pics from the trackday in Adria! http://www.jabbasworld.net/photopost...i_575M_390.jpg 348 in town. Still lovely although it could use wider wheels at the back http://www.jabbasworld.net/photopost...ri_348_295.jpg Full red 964 RS http://www.jabbasworld.net/photopost...era_RS_039.jpg |
Great TT!
I love those NSXs :good: |
Nice pics TT!
NSXs are damn rare over here too! But they are very cool! Not sure if that is a GT2 indeed judging your opinion about it.. Nice combo pic of the Merc and Audi! That race-prepped 575M looks mental! And the colour of that mini almost hurts your eyes  |
that 575M is crazy
im not sure if thats a real GT2 cuz of the way its sittin |
Good eye on the GT2 there TT. You are correct about the rear wiper, but perhaps it was an option(?). Nice NSX sightings, they rnt that rare around here though :bah:

Wow, that race prepped 575 is amazing...that V12 most sound wonderful! :D |
Excellent photos. Especially the NSX pictures. They are rare down here as well.
|
very nice 575, looks great. also the red 964RS.. never heard of a GT2 that has rear wipers added later... and i'm sure it was no option to order
|
That 575 look great :o
The GT2 (or not) is pretty cool, too. I'm not really sure about those red wheels on the 964 :? Eww!! My eyes still hurt because of that Mini. Who the hell can drive a car with that color ?? |

But the whole lot will be queued yes. If I'll start messing up the order it will be a mess! Hints, well. My biggest fear when in MC is posting pics identical to the ones we see from the regular hunters there. Sadly, well, as you know, it can't be helped. MC is small, and most of the time the nice cars are in the same old places. And if you want to see them all, you HAVE to be in the Place du Casino. either in front of the casino or on the other side of the big roundabout as I did. You already know the drill: Hotel de Paris, Hermitage, Bay, Beach, Meridien, ex Loews, the garages, Grimaldi forum in your case ;) & the marina. Walk, walk, walk :D But well, I still think the only way to see them all or 90% of them is never leaving place du casino. Tnhe of course you'll end up with pics like this: http://img170.imagevenue.com/loc415/..._122_415lo.jpg because there is always a nice car there :bah: same for the steps in front of the Casino I guess http://img133.imagevenue.com/loc557/..._122_557lo.jpg I like to say on the opposite side of the roundabout, but not under the little balcony, but right against the cars parked there, so I can get the cars going down or coming up from the GP route: http://img175.imagevenue.com/loc546/..._122_546lo.jpg (not so common afterall) The most "extreme" as a matter of "different" from other MC shooters was to place myself on the road in front and above the Bay Hotel http://img153.imagevenue.com/loc463/..._122_463lo.jpg http://img104.imagevenue.com/loc1182...122_1182lo.jpg But well, the key is not to miss a single car and if possible come home with some clean shots with no fucking tourists in them :D I better stop with the preview now :D |

great photos!!!
luv 2 watch those photos... BTW...what camera did u used? |
Another word about the Porsche. I think it may be a Turbo, beause of the red break calipers.
The GT2 has yellow ones, hasn't it?! To add a whiper is one thing, but why would someone "downgrade" his GT2 with normal breaks instead of the GT2-standard carbon ceramic breaks? |
^^ Good point mentioned about the breaks, that would be stupid indeed!
|
Brakes can be painted any color ($$$)
This would be for TT: To easily tell the difference between a Turbo and GT2 look at the front wheels. If they have a half-shaft to each from a front diff then its a 996TT. No front diff then very likely a GT-2 |
Yup, all you gotta do is check for AWD ;)

Hi Matteo! Amazing photos... ...but are old photos, not? In fact I don't see the effect of the polarazing filter
|
Hello Simone and welcome. Yes, those pics were taken in August or maybe early September ... 2005 :!: :!: I was still using the Pro 1 actually, and although I did have the polarizer for it and used it on some of these pics, I didn't use it 100% of the time since that camera was more sensible to ISO noise than a reflex :bah:
|
Hi! Thanks for the welcome
Ok...I know 8) Hi! |
GT2 definitely has no rear wipers!
@harryo2b i also know from several GT3 owners which switched from PCCB to Steelbrakes because they were not happy with them... |
Quote:
As for the wipers. See my above post the GT2 did have wipers as an option (Option M425) To settle the Turbo/GT2 debate once and for all! TT, get the VIN and you can call any Porsche dealer and ask them what it is. They will gladly tell you. If not PM it to me and I can get it figured out. |
the race prepped 575 looks awsome  it always nice to see some NSX's!!
