Cars at the shop *No 56k* UPDATED 1/31/08

Anyway nice cars, you have a very cool job! |
sweeeeeet. Can't wait for the video
|
Ugh, really wish I ended up going into Auto mechanics instead of Computer engineering. Your shop is better than any mahogany filled office in the corporate world :\
There's a muscle car shop down the street from my parents house in NY, they always have some interesting cars there, but I dont think they do much work these days. I'll try and stop by this weekend. Looking forward to the pictures and videos.. That orange Camaro reminds me of a friend from High School who past away. He had a mint '68 in solid orange... with a very big tank of nitrous in the back seat 0X You still got that beast of a Miata? |
e got in a vette 427 4 speed today
http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...4/IMG_1145.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...4/IMG_1148.jpg and we started doing the work on a authentic 12,000 original miles number matching 69 roadrunner Hemi 4-speed http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...4/IMG_1143.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...4/IMG_1142.jpg we are having three cars i think show up tomorrow, the rain delayed all but the vette today. aftermarket A/C install in a GTX i finished up today. http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...4/IMG_1129.jpg some engine/interior shots http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...4/IMG_1134.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...4/IMG_1133.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...4/IMG_1132.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...4/IMG_1130.jpg |
I like your guys work, very clean! :D
|
we are very quality oriented, everything is triple checked, by the person doing it, another person, and then one of the owners :)
|
Cool shop man! Those muscle cars are badass and you have some very nice ones in there. 8) Keep the pics coming. :D
|
the beastly miata has long been sold! i have a few other projects now ;)
|
Damn.... you really got me thinking I should just buy an early 90's 5.0 Mustang for some fun this summer.
|
i have a friend with a 93 ex-cop car mustang 5.0 with the 5 speed, that car is a blast, i highly recommend them for a fun street car!
i have pics.... we have installed a cold air, xpipe and mufflers, egr spacer, throttlebody, and subframe connectors and aaftermarket clutch cable/quadrant. |
What would be the model/year to get and how much should I be paying? I know they can be bought for cheap.. so all I'd have to really expense is insurance.

we spend alot of time fixing/repair/undoing alot of other "shops" work
the car i am currently working on is a 68 427 vette 4 speed, all numbers matching it was "restored" to the tune of 65k bucks before it came to our shop, and its a mess.... missing bolts/screws, hacked up wiring, non functioning wipers and popup headlights, would not idle, carbs were leaking from someone attempting to rebuild them, it was sad but monday ill dial it in, and already fixed the other issues, and its as good as new |
wow you are a lucky guy to be able to work with these beauties. america once knew how to design a car 8)
|
today we did get in a nice pontiac GTO and another 442, we were supposed to get in a AAR 'Cuda but it is held up in the bodyshop
the orange challenger R/T with a 426 hemi - fuel injected, 4 speed, 500+ hp is up for sale - 130k pics! part of the shop : http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...k/IMG_1183.jpg charger: http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...k/IMG_1194.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...k/IMG_1193.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...k/IMG_1176.jpg GTO: http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...k/IMG_1191.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...k/IMG_1189.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...k/IMG_1187.jpg this can be yours, along with the car, for 130k http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...k/IMG_1181.jpg the hemi for the roadrunner, we are fixing to teardown and rebuild: http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...k/IMG_1174.jpg |

|
Some very nice cars there. I love that SS572 Chevelle and the LP640 looks great in that color.
|
niiiiiiiiiiice. Your shop has nice variety. :D The trouble with visiting Saleen or any other car factory is that there are only a couple of different types of cars there.
|
In the last pic of the crowded shop, whats that black on black car in the middle of the photo? |
awesome pictures! the LP should have black rims thoguh ;)
|
wonderful cars, really love the muscle cars.... :P
|
Nice clean work :)
|
Crazy stuff mate. I love american muscle car and that black cuda is just fabulous  . I bet you got a surprise when that guy dropped in in his LP640  . Haven't actually seen an orange one before but it looks gorgeous 8) . Thanks for sharing those, looking forward to the next update
|
Like I said earlier, love what you guys are doing!
What I can tell from the pics you do it with passion for the car and most important you know what you are doing! Thanks for the update, looking forward to the next! :D |
the black car that is under re-assembly is a car we are doing a full frame off resto on, its a numbers matching 12k miles original 1969 Roadrunner HEMI 4 speed. it will be awesome when completed :)
thanks for the support guys, ill upload some more pics here in the next couple days, i dont think we are getting any new cars in this week, as you can tell we have our hands full (there are 3 of us hahahah) |
New cars in at the shop, we are now completely full - no room anywhere haha
this is a 1967 Ghia 450SS - one of 57 made. Italian styling and chassis with a dodge/chrysler 273 v8 powertrain. It was being prepped to run in the upcoming Copper state rally. http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...k/DSC00303.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...k/DSC00302.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...k/DSC00301.jpg This is a Shelby GT500KR. http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...k/DSC00266.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...k/DSC00263.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...k/DSC00260.jpg A Shebly Cobra Kitcar....this one was pretty nicely done, and well priced. Im tempted hahah http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...k/DSC00300.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...k/DSC00298.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...k/DSC00296.jpg A cool 73 'Cuda 383 we are working on http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...k/DSC00236.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...k/DSC00231.jpg And now, the Real 1965 numbers matching Shelby Cobra. This car is awesome, and a blast to drive! it is also being prepped for the copperstate rally, and we have another authentic Cobra arriving friday. http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...k/DSC00308.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...k/DSC00304.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...k/DSC00307.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...k/DSC00311.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...k/DSC00313.jpg |
drooooooooooool
best thread ever |
The Cuda and the Cobra is GOR F**KING GEOUS!!!!!!! Thanks for the pics Paul, always great to see vintage in good condition like this......
|
Cobra's are beautiful and I love the fact you can build them as Kitcars!
Thanks! :D |
the red and white kit car cobra is actually being listed for 39k
it has a 5.0 ford mustang cobra engine and tranny, its actually quite the good deal for the money considering it can easily cost more to build the car then what it is selling for. |
you are one lucky guy Paul!
how long does it take you to do a frame of restoration? I know it depends on the car's state when beginning, but cars like in the pics? |
|
averages about 3 months for a full frame off :)
|
Hot damn that '73 Cuda is gorgeous.
And the original black Cobra  just to be able to drive these beauties must be a blast.. envy just doesn't mean enough in this case. |
Friday we had the other real cobra show up!
Its a 289 Cobra, which in my opinion is a more significant car, since its the car which started it all so to speak, altho the 427 cobra is definitely the larger grin inducer, the 289 cobra was more of a racing machine. the 289 cobras where also slightly narrower than the 427 cars and retained a closer look to the original AC. The 289 cars, in their original configuration also had a transverse leaf spring front suspension that is actually very similiar to that of the corvette's rear suspension, it was only until the 427 cars that they went with a more modern suspension. Enjoy! http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...k/DSC00353.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...k/DSC00359.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...k/DSC00343.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...k/DSC00340.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...k/DSC00347.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...k/DSC00345.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...k/DSC00339.jpg The leaf spring front suspension http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...k/DSC00333.jpg Some other pics: http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...k/DSC00365.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...k/DSC00324.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...k/DSC00320.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...DSC00273-1.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...k/DSC00319.jpg |
this is seriously one of the best threads ever, so many hot and awesome cars! i just love the 427, way cooler than any ferrari lambo or whatever, you name it it just looses against it :D
thx for the pics :) |
here is a 1970 dodge challenger T/A (trans am) we just completed, it leave tomm :(
this is a odd car, its B5 blue, with a blue interior (will post pics tomm) as well as a 4 speed car. the actual production of the T/A Challenger is about 2197 units, and only 949 were 4 speed. I imagine not many were the Blue/Blue combo This car was made for only 1 year (1970) and was to celebrate the challenger's Trans Am series racing prgram, much like the AAR Cuda (which one day i will have pics of, i promise, we have one!!) which was also a 1 year model. The car was sold a bit north of 140k, and is powered by a 340 c.i. V8 with 3 2 barrel carbs. - manufacturer rated at 290 hp. Pics! : http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...4/DSC00427.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...4/DSC00432.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...4/DSC00424.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...4/DSC00423.jpg mroe to come! |
|

Magnific car... :o 8)
|
That Challenger is bad ass.. looks great in that color. Straight out of the 70's.
|
That must be a badass job!
