I wonder how the SRT Ram would fare in this race. For those who don't know, Dodge took the Viper angine and stuck it into a Ram truck.

That Lightning is damn fast! It's definately not stock, but I wonder what mods have been doen to it? In stock form they are pretty quick, but not that fast!

yeah the new srt-10 ram is awesome.i read it sumwere that they intended on makint he fastest truck to buy,and they said they succeded so i reckon it could beat a lightening.but that lightening for sure isnt stock.what they run,like mid 13's stock?

that viper can't be counted in the race just playing catch up there is only 3 lanes! he was behind the lightning, but still a cool vid! :)

It wont be the fastest truck for long, because ford is coming out witha new 500/500 Lightning.

Hey blah, any links for that truck? The 500/500 Lightning. I heard something about it a while ago, but nothing since. Last I heard, Ford was putting SVT stuff on hold for a while.

Well, Ford may be coming out with a 500/500 Lightning, but the SRT/10 Ram has the Viper motor which is 500/525, so it would probably be a pretty far race. Wonder how long it will be before we see a vid of a Hennessey SRT/10 Ram putting out 1000+HP? That would be a pretty sweet vid. Who wouldn't want to see a Pickup Truck putting it on a 900WHP Supra?

lol, but remember the only thing on the back of a pick-up is a box... not very heavy. 1000hp in a pick-up would probably have traction troubles even if it was going 100mph when u hit the gas hard. lol But that lightning is bad ass. Its hilarious when a truck can beat normally very fast vehicles like supras, and that viper wasnt really gaining either i dont think. I saw that Dodge SRT-10 Ram, that was awesome. It looked more bad ass than the lightning too, If they made it maybe they'd start a new era... the MuscleTruck era. lol

the newest SVT lightening is awesome,we actually have 2 of them here,im my area were i live.i think thats pretty much the only american cars i have seen here,fast ones anyway.one is a womans and the other is a guy,its awesome seein him beatin all the young guys here in there cars,thinkin its just a truck with a mean lookin body and big wheels,then he's gone,lol

trucks do have traction problems..BUT if u really really wanted to u shove some huge tires in the back..just put a tono cover over the bed and tub the rear wheel wells so they meet in the middle...=) put some sand in a box right over the rear axle..problem solved =) lol

Yeah, the SRT-10 Rams are on sale right now. Motor Trend tested one in it's Truck of the Year tests and to be eligible for that the vehicle mucst be on sale by Jan 1st of that year.

Sure a pickup would have more traction problems than a car due to the decrease in weight in the back, but can you tell me a vehicle that puts out 500+HP to the rear wheels only which wouldn't have traction problems? It will just be more exagerrated as you add more power, but that's all part of it. If you could build a perfectly balanced vehicle with unlimited traction and more than 600HP and RWD, you'd be a billionaire.

Dodge Ram SRT 10 is a beast too.....they both run high 13s.....I would be more than happy to drive either, but I prefer the Rams styling.

Ford's 4V Supercharged 4.6 is an amazing engine. It can handle something like 800hp on stock internals, so its not too much of a surprise that it can pull on these types of cars. Its just funny to see a truck run such high-end sports cars.
