Photoshooting with 2 McLaren SLR "722edition"

My first photoshooting of the year was at the Daimler Chrysler underground parking, and hew, the line-up was spectacular :D

the first "722" customer cars were delivered to CH :P
IMO the "722" looks way more agressive than the normal SLR, me likes the black rims and not using the standard silver is also appreciated

btw, these "crystal antimony grey" and a "black metalic" model were about to be shipped to Geneva later that day, so the first streetsightings will probabely be made by TT during a WE

guess the car  / normal SLR and Maybach 57S

komotar 01-12-2007 07:22 AM

wow, dude, the pics were a real treat!

the dead front shot is the best, got to be a contender fot the photo of the month...

TT 01-12-2007 08:34 AM

Impressive cars for sure! Improved so much from the regular SLR with so few mods afterall

Dang, the local garage only has a grey/beige normal SLR these days...

And no dude, I won't spot those cars myself probably since now I live in Lugano and when I am on the other side of Switzerland I don't have time to hunt in Geneva anymore ;)

stmoritzer 01-12-2007 08:42 AM

^ gf chains you to the bed

awesome picture mate!

A it high iso here and there but the line up is amazing!! :good:

nice work moritzer, top notch!

ae86_16v 01-12-2007 03:16 PM

I have never noticed this, but the lines on the SLR are pretty damn agressive. On top of that, the Silver one shows the lines better.

The "wallpaper" are awesome! Thanks for sharing!

5vz-fe 01-12-2007 03:20 PM

Wow, 2 in 1 garage...that's one rare sight! Thanks stmoritzer, rare sighting indeed.

Stoopie 01-12-2007 03:37 PM

Great pictures man! How did you get into that parking garage?

twboy1999 01-12-2007 09:59 PM

i think i just jeezed

722 is so sick

never a big fan of the original slr, but this is so much hotter

deuces 01-13-2007 01:05 AM

Those are some great pictures man I love them. The 722 definitely looks more aggressive, I like the wheels but I think that the shape of the spokes doesn't complement the lines of the car as much as they could. Still looks cool as hell tho.

MidEngine4Life 01-13-2007 04:03 AM

Them some mean lookin machines. Great shots, ill take it in black ;)

Wutputt 01-14-2007 03:21 PM

Dang, 2 722's in the same garage, impressive. This type of grey looks far better on the SLR compared to the silver grey.

Shinigami 01-14-2007 04:02 PM

I already was a fan of the original SLR, but I find it funny how people seem to love this one coz it looks so much better. Umm... all I see is some black rims and a cf lip... oh, lets not forget the logo "722".

:?

Still, looks nice, I'd take one if I could afford it.

Schwalbe 01-14-2007 04:33 PM

Those SLRs look simply badass !

Thanks stmoritzer for those pix. :D

novass 01-14-2007 04:56 PM

Nice pics! That black one looks evil

Zot09 01-15-2007 05:54 AM

Awesome shots, for sure! Thanks StMoritzer!

I really like the 722 a lot!

totally agree, the standard silver can be seen on regular MB's too
(well, that color can be put on any MB either )
but there were two silver SLR next to the 722, and the difference in attraction is huge!

Stoopie 01-15-2007 12:32 PM

^ *sigh* I envy you :( When can I go to that carpark? xD

stmoritzer 01-15-2007 12:34 PM

^ maybe next week, depending if new cars are delivered

Stoopie 01-15-2007 12:36 PM

^ You've got yourself a deal mate, I will be around next week ;)

VincentBlack 01-15-2007 01:20 PM

It's like the Modena and the Stradale - it's only the CF mirror, the wheels and the italian stripe afterall... :D

Personally, I'm more interested in the weight loss (SLR or 360, doesn't matter) as both the original and the latter version look just as good ;)

Actually, I think the the black rims look good on a black car, whilst the CF lip looks kinda wrong on a silver one... the original looks cleaner with the turbine rims and no lip, but maybe that's just me.

Stoopie 01-15-2007 01:37 PM

Well, the red brake callipers look awesome on this car as well. And that 722 badge just gives the car a bit of history :)

somehow i missed this topic. luckily i saw your signature.....

AWESOME!!!!

very very nice. i really like the pics from the front, looks very fast and brutal. sensational! despite the difficult light in a garage you made some great pictures - thumbs up!

P_Zero_Rosso 01-22-2007 04:04 PM

Great shots stmoritzer, the first one is my favorite.
The 722 looks badass, I bet they sounded great in that underground carpark.

The wheels remind me of these
