Except he didn't drive a NASCAR as rule.. and its only on rare invtation occasions though.. right?

^ He drives in the Nascar road courses along with Scott Pruett and some othe road racing specialists.

Back to the F1 GTR, I really wonder how road ready it is ... it doesnt look like it has any sound insulation, is the gear the racing one - straight cut gears and all?, where's the A/c, etc. It looks lowered - watch out for bumps.

There was a test of Nick Mason's F1 - it was a converted GTR and was quite painful to drive on the road with the excessive noise, woeful turning circle.

If had the $$$$$$$$, I would buy a regular F1 and not a converted one. Make mine Midnight blue :)

He drove for No Fear Racing in 2006 on a few of the ovals, and actually did quite well (4th I think) at the Pepsi 400 in Daytona. He also did the road courses, as he has been for the last few years

As for the F1. Badass ride, must have been so much fun to no only meet Boris but to get a ride in an F1. What was the circuit?

kompak 01-04-2007 07:23 AM

I'm told that sellers are expecting unreasonable prices, as the market is saturated with F1's for sale (as saturated as such a small market is) keep in mind, not all cars that are for sale are published on the net ;)

the same thing is happening with the Bugatti EB110 right now, with their re-emersion into the market this year, past owners, and various sellers think they can get a premium for the amazing car of 15 years ago.

nachete 01-08-2007 07:36 PM

My two dream cars - this road legal F1 GTR and a road legal F40 LM GTE
