I just troll here but I thought I would let everyone know someone *might* be planning on stealing a 360 that he claims hasn't moved in years. It is located in a Kansas City parking garade with no plates and ALOT of dust. Personally, I think the car deserves to be stolen but who am I to say.

And the pics he posted...

who knows what has happened with the original owner... it isn't the first time such a story has come out. A Duesenberg is in a NY parking structure, as it has been for the last 70 or so years... Jay tried to buy it to no avail.

anyway... its a Free Ferrari, right? :P

RC45 12-19-2006 12:07 AM

Looks like one of those FWD Renault kit cars ;) :P

Mattk 12-19-2006 12:30 AM

Go for it.

LOL! Someone wrote 'bad ass' in the dust on the rear window.

nthfinity 12-19-2006 12:34 AM

the nice thing is this..... say the owner finds his car gone... its easy to find the thief ;)

IMKAOS 12-19-2006 12:36 AM

Not the sort of thing u just 'forget' about eh? deceased estate that hasn't been claimed maybe? I'd have it!!

lol@bad ass

bmagni 12-19-2006 12:36 AM

i'd steal it, wrap it with a huge ribbon and send it to RC...

gobs3z 12-19-2006 12:38 AM

It's possible someone is soooo rich that they forgot they owned a Modeno, and hasn't gone back his condo since they own 30 other places all over the world. Thats my theory and i'm sticking to it. Or it's a drug tycoons car and they don't want to traced. It's up for grabs if you ask me.

Mattk 12-19-2006 12:38 AM

To be honest, I'd seriously doubt that after all these years, that car would be any good to drive.

But it'd still be fun to lean on! 8)

Stoopie 12-19-2006 05:05 AM

I'd give it a wash and try to sell it. ;)

Mattk 12-19-2006 05:10 AM

Sell it for what? The steering wheel, doors and rims?

Stoopie 12-19-2006 05:12 AM

Perhaps xD Maybe I could get the wheels of (incl. the entire brakes), and sell those :D It'd be fun to see a Ferrari standing on a pile of bricks instead of wheels ;)

saadie 12-19-2006 05:19 AM

haha cool ...
maybe the rich dude was soo drunk he forgot he bought a ferrari in the morning  .... or maybe the owner was humping a hoe and died  .....

Stoopie 12-19-2006 05:23 AM

^ If that's true, he could still be in the car.. Well, humping in a Ferrari is pretty impossible IMO :')

Mattk 12-19-2006 05:36 AM

Sometimes your thoughts are very disturbing...

Yeah, my guess is the owner died and this car just got forgotten.

cooperluke 12-19-2006 06:04 AM

Hum... the tires... shouldn't they be almost flat? Or at least, visibly low pressure?

Mattk 12-19-2006 06:15 AM

Yeah, the tyres would probably be a bit flat after a few years of just sitting there. I probably wouldn't be too keen on those brakes, either, after a few years of non-use.

Good luck to him

r2r 12-19-2006 07:17 AM

Hum......where exactly is this Ferrari again? :P

LEXION 12-19-2006 08:14 AM

Maybe the owner, a drug dealer or some sought, got thrown in jail, and the car left there, and when he comes out, he will have his friends search for you :P :P

I'd take it this second!

cooperluke 12-19-2006 08:39 AM

The nice thing is, that now... if someone steals that Ferrari, everyone will think it was that guy from the other forum!!! Eheheh

Hum... that makes me think .... :)

Mattk 12-19-2006 08:46 AM

How exactly would one go about stealing a Ferrari? Not really the simplest of things to steal. :?

LEXION 12-19-2006 08:48 AM

put it on a truck flat bed, cover it up, and ship it in another country....., or just drag it out of the garagge, and hide it in a big truck, and after that , you can go and open it , and see whats what....

Mattk 12-19-2006 08:52 AM

That's all well and good, but you have to get the truck into and out of the carpark. ;)

LEXION 12-19-2006 08:53 AM

or just a little tow truck, to lift the front of the car, and drag it out to the transporter truck.....

Mattk 12-19-2006 09:02 AM

Yep, my initial thought, but wheels ain't gonna move with the handbrake on. ;)

LEXION 12-19-2006 09:03 AM

well, it stealling it, not buying it new , so youll replace the rubber :)

Mattk 12-19-2006 09:05 AM

Ah, well, if you want to scrape the rubber along the road, sure go ahead.

LEXION 12-19-2006 09:07 AM

I can care less about 2 wheels, as long as I have the rest of the car for free :)

Ill replace them , with some new ones, to burn at stolen ferrari's track days ;)

Stoopie 12-19-2006 09:08 AM

Sure it's easy :D Only thing you need is a big truck. Just make the battery of the truck connect to the one of the Ferrari, so that one gets overpowered and the security systems fail, due to a lack of power. Then you'll only have to open the car, recharge the battery, and off you go :) Only problem is that you probably won't be ably to fit a truck into a parking garage ;)

Mattk 12-19-2006 09:08 AM

Ah, but if you want to drive it, you'll first have to get into the car. Ferraris aren't the easiest cars to break into. ;)

I would just sell the thing for parts. 8)

Stoopie 12-19-2006 09:11 AM

^ How about breaking the window? I know, I'm a genius

LEXION 12-19-2006 09:15 AM

you realise that the height of the garagge is taller than an Hummer H2, because they also need to park , and the garagges are made in that way that a tow truck can fit in it, in case , some cars arent able to get out because of technical difficulties...so just rent a little GMC tow truck, to get the car out of the garagge, and in to a 18 wheeler, and of you go to mexico, and change the registration of the car and engine codes and other crap.....

you cant get more safer/cheapper than that :D

Mattk 12-19-2006 09:15 AM

Yes, that would get you into the car, which is a start, but Ferraris are not the easiest cars to hot wire. And you'll have a broken window to deal with. :P ;)

Sure you can. Just put a rope on the rearbumper, if you're lucky the owner left the handbrake off, and you can just tow it with you :')

Police: *WHIIEEEJJ* "Sir what are we doing over here?"
You: "Well I don't know, what are you doing over there?"
Police: *sigh*

ViperASR 12-19-2006 11:12 AM

why is everyone saying it would be "bad" to drive after all these years? Change all the fluids before you start it and it should be good to go.

LEXION 12-19-2006 11:26 AM

^ I think its good to go exactly how it is now, its not a crappy fiesta, that you leave for a winter, and than doesent start up. And Im sure that if the owner comes after it, he will start it up, and take it home, exactly how it is now.....

LEXION 12-19-2006 01:51 PM

And offcourse you realise that Ferrari is the best car in the world. Dont you?

Stop confusing Fiat 500, Lamborghini LP640, with Ferrari , Maseratti and Pagani Zonda ;)

There is a difference betwen cars and SUPERCARS, and its not in the price :D

cooperluke 12-19-2006 02:03 PM

LOL... reliability = FERRARI??? That's one of the best jokes I've heard in times... surely the 360 is a much more reliable car than the ones before, but, in a Ferrari meeting, don't know why, there are always broken cars in the way! :D

Stoopie 12-19-2006 03:38 PM

^ I'm with you in this, pure bs IMO

LEXION 12-19-2006 04:03 PM

hmmm, than why shold I spend my 1 Milion $ on a Ferrari, when I can buy a much more better car, like an chevrolet matiz.....DOH! :(

ViperASR 12-19-2006 04:21 PM

^^^
FXX, F1 cars (new and old), used Enzos went for that much for awhile

LEXION 12-19-2006 04:22 PM

Ferrari FXX, over 1 milion $, Ferrari Enzo over 1mil $, P4-5, over 3 mil $, Zagatto, over 2 mil $.....

hey, you cant charge people, something that is not reliable, at a moment in time, it wont sell...just look in the supercar rallyes now a days, how many Ferraris are in, and finsih thousands of kilometers just fine, as with the ordanary cars....when they finish, everyone else has left for home long time before them.

ViperASR 12-19-2006 04:23 PM

Unless your microsoft and its the XBOX 360

LMAO I worked on Ferraris, old and new, for over 2 years and I can honestly tell you, they arent the most reliable car out there. As stated before, people dont buy Ferraris for reliability; they buy them for the looks, performance and pedigree.

Any car that has been stored for a long time is subject to have problems with it, especially if it is in a harsh environment. Has nothing to do with it being a Ferrari or Hyundai.

ARMAN 12-19-2006 06:29 PM

With MIHALS we saw 430 spider in the workshop of ferrari dealer here, car was supposed to be delivered to the czech celebrity footballer(last summer i believe) and they couldnt get rid of some problems berfore selling it to him  and the car was NEW!

MotorWorld 12-19-2006 07:08 PM

WTF is this shit

Mattk 12-19-2006 07:55 PM

Look, the battery is going to be flat after a few years of not using it. It won't even start up.

LOL If you can get in the car, I'm pretty sure you could get the engine bay open as well.

Stealing a car isn't as hard as it looks folks. It's actually quite easy.
Break in car
Crack the steering column
Turn the lock cylinder

If it starts and shuts off, there is an anti theft system, unplug it LOL

You didn't hear this from me, and No, I've never stolen a car.

ViperASR 12-19-2006 08:09 PM

lol at unplugging the alarm, we had to do that on my 944 for some time because it shorted out after one of the hurricanes, and when we went to start it it would just blow the alarm, so my dad got the bright idea to just unplug the alarm computer, and sure enough, ran perfectly. It had been rewired and upgraded sense.
