Next Gen GT To Have Ferraris

I was browsing the videos on gamespot and happened to come across the new gran turismo video, and shock of shock it shows a FERRARI. Whether this is an indication of them actually appearing in the game isn't confirmed, but it sent a huge feeling of satisfaction when i saw it.

Heres the Link
http://uk.gamespot.com/ps3/driving/g...mo5/media.html

Its the first video, with the picture of the ferrari.

Pimp Racer 09-23-2006 05:30 PM

Yup its official everyone! I went gamespot today to check out what has been happening at TGS and then I saw Ferrari and almost shitted!

Now we need Lamborghinis and Porsches. :D

Just think about this every Ferrari ever made you can drive on any GT track! Just amazing. I say every Ferrari because I am sure everyone knows how PD includes just about every car from a manfacutre and this will be no exception for sure! Also I heard you will only be able to have just 3 Ferraris for the comming GT HD "demo" in december but more will be availabe soon.

dutchmasterflex 09-23-2006 05:36 PM

The fact that they are calling it GT HD worries me..

"GT HD" means they can get away with a just a prettier GT4 with more cars..

And Ferrari isn't a Japanese manufacturer.. so they will most likely only have a few F cars..

Well it is only a demo and they cars do look very sharp from some shots I have seen but still no where close to what the final product is.

There will be two modes in GT HD.

GT Classic and Prienum.

In classic you will start off with no car and can BUY up to 750 and more realeased each month or so. You will also have something like 7 tracks to Purcahse! Prizes are like 40 cents to a Dollar. And tracks are like a dollar to four dollars! Talk about that for expensive! Hopefully the real GT5 will not requite you to pay for cars.

In the other GT you have like 30 - 60 cars and 3 tracks for free though.

Also its been confirmed that only 3 THREE Ferrari's will be in GT HD at the LAUNCH!

Basicly if the having to pay for cars is true I will just avoid GT HD.

McLaren4eVa 09-23-2006 08:13 PM

^^^^ Sorry Just really exciting news, now if only PD can somehow monange to get damage for theses cars. Still GT% due in 2008 and in the interview he said that GT5 will be based around what the consumer wants.

666fast 09-23-2006 10:40 PM

I'll believe it when I'm driving a Ferrari in the game. They have shown shots of cars before and had them removed before releasin the game.

Also, the nonsense abou having to buy all the cars and tracks is quite possibly the dumbest idea on earth. At those prices, it won't be long untill i's a $1000 game. What will they charge for the actual disc, which will offer nothing other than menus? LOL I hope the idiot who thought this was a good idea is fired.

McLaren4eVa 09-24-2006 03:07 PM

^^^^ But you won't pay 1000 for it because you'll only buy what you want, and also it's going to be online so just buy your best car and play the world.

TopGearNL 09-24-2006 03:26 PM

OMG I want a PS3 and Gran Turismo HD so badly now, Im one of those stupid guys who buys everything just to drive that F430 around the Nurburgring Nordschleife !!

How do you mean passion

Half the fun of GT4 (and other GTs for that matter), was getting to try all sorts of cars out, not just sticking with one or two, at least that's what I found. Having to pay for each car I want to try is just irritating, and if the plan does go through with how it's sounding like right now with the micro-transactions, I definitely won't be purchasing GT:HD.

Pimp Racer 09-24-2006 07:32 PM

I bet/hope PD will change their minds about the stupid idea of paying for cars when they find out no one will buy the cars in the GT HD. If we boycott them they might lower the price or just get rid of the price thing totally. Now if it were like pay a dollar or so to get just a certain car but the other 1200 cars are availabe for free would be alright with me but pay for each car? Fuck that shit.

Kinxy 09-24-2006 08:32 PM

I don't belive it even though I have seen the video.

Even in the GT4 Prolouge DVD they had a segment with a Ferrari 360, but it didn't make it to the real game. So don't get your hopes up too early, this could be, and probably is just a marketing trick... and when it comes to it, they'll maybe say "issues with copyright etc etc.."

Pimp Racer 09-24-2006 09:10 PM

^^^^^Are you talking about GT4 Proglouge the game or something else? I somehow got my hands on that GT4 Prolouge Game (Meaning for free) when it came out for the rest of the world and not us Americans and remember playing through all of it but never once saw anything related to the Ferrari 360 or let alone Ferrari.

Do you have any way to back up what you say my friend? In other words I need proof about this Ferrari 360 you somehow magically saw in the GT4 Prolouge game that I didnt see. I am sure if it was seen in a video or something it would have been causing a buzz at the time and I dont remember any talk of it.

I think he is reffering to the DVD video that came with proulogue which showed the Polyphony team testing cars for the game, which happened to show a 360. But game wise there was no ferrari.

Showing a Ferrari at a testing session with dozens of other cars and bikes means nothing. Showing two fully modeled Ferraris in official GT:HD screens/video? Now that means something.

How about this short video of the 599 GTB Fiorano and the text "Gran Turismo HD featuring Ferrari GT cars?

TopGearNL 10-01-2006 12:31 PM

After seeing that Redbaron I am definately going to get it. 2 reasons, 1 is Ferrari 2 is just cruising it through the Alps as on the vid

DeMoN 10-02-2006 02:04 AM

wow thats better vid than the one at gamespot! I really want this thing now! I hope the G25 Logitech wheel is compatible with thta game cuz i wanna play GTR2 as best as possible with that wheel!

RC45 10-02-2006 10:09 AM

The G25 had better be PS3/GT5 compatible.

I can imagine they will have a special GT5 edition with fancy leather and engraving etc - but it will probably (I hope) be the same wheel.

I got a G25 on Saturday - the best PC peripheral ever.

Period.

Bar none.

One thing that isn't up in the air is the deal with Ferrari, which was signed and agreed upon just a few weeks ago. The Prancing Pony brand has traditionally shunned the GT series but has finally relented and will feature prominently in the game. We saw modeled renders of Ferrari's gorgeous 599 GTB model during Yamauchi's presentation, and we can't wait to give it a spin in the game. Though details are currently sketchy, Yamauchi hinted that the Ferrari partnership in GT HD and subsequent games may go beyond merely featuring Ferrari's lineup in the game.
YESSSSSS

Minacious 10-10-2006 03:38 AM

Just please remember that GTHD is not GT5.

DeMoN 10-10-2006 04:19 AM

and gt5 wont be made unless gthd has success and lots of ppl fall for paying 1$ per car

sheruken 10-12-2006 05:40 AM

Well actually GT:HD Premium is more like GT5 Prologue and GT5 will be made no matter what the outcome of GT:HD is. But I get ur point DeMoN, that GT5 may not be the same as it would be if GTHD Premium succeeds. And the pricing of buying cars and tracks is not finalised yet, it was just a rough idea, yamauchi gave.

I like the idea of having to build your own GT5, meaning you can buy GTHD and slowly and eventually as and when the updates and cars & tracks are released, you can buy them online and build your own GT5 and may not need to buy GT5 when it hits the shores in 2008. Somepeople say the fun in GT games is having more than 700 cars, but to me, I hardly even used more than 40 cars thruout the game, that too coz some of them I had to, to complete those stages. Now if I have the option of only buying cars I want, why not? It isnt the best thing ofcourse but if people dont like that idea, they can wait till 2008 and get the "Full Package" in GT5.

Also in that Video, the game looks stunning, but we have to keep in mind that the reflections on cars are still work in progress and the realtime shadows are missing, which Yamauchi promised will be finished b4 the game is ready to ship end of this year. 2 tracks and 30 cars is not big, but will keep me busy a couple hours a day till the next update comes.

Although, I totally dissapprove of GTHD Classic, it is GT4 Online with slightly "improved" Graphics but doesnt come with any car or track, everything you have to buy online, that is stupid. I dont mind shelling out little bit of money for a new GT game. But to spend money to play after buying the game, that too a generation old GT4 which I already have and played and completed? Damn, thats ripping people off...

sheruken 10-12-2006 08:10 AM

PS3 and GTHD will probably support G25, as I'd seen a picture of Polyphony Digital's Hardware room in which a G25 was kept with an Awesome GT Helmet around it, a Huge ass tv where the GTHD was playing or something, errr, not sure about the "playing" part, but yeah They're tampering with the G25, that is confirmed. But it doesnt prove anything. I wont believe till it actually comes out!

Pimp Racer 10-22-2006 08:34 PM

^^^

bmagni 10-24-2006 12:54 PM

apparently Ferraris won't be included in the game, you'll have to download them from an online store for around 5 dollars....

TNT 10-24-2006 01:00 PM

is there a possible car list out yet?
