A Bit of info

Ex demo car, with 2000 miles when I got it. Its still perfect in every way and has a warrenty and free servicing for peace of mind. Its a fun little car which takes corners very nicely indeed, and on the straight its not too bad either. Pulls good, sounds good, and im very pleased since I've been a fiesta fan ever since my first car (the mk3 fiesta)

Hope you all like the pictures. :)

And here the vid since noone seems to have noticed it in my other thread :)

Looks mega dude, the white really suits it.

Get it de-catted and a cat-back zorst system and the thing will sound awesome.

EDIT - Just seen the video, sounds good dude looks pretty quick too, but what road is that it looks awesome. Reminds me of the road over the North York moors to Whitby.

Tell your friend to keep an eye out for Dean Noble hes my brother, hes off to Hudds Uni too. And yes, if you do come down one sunday, that particular road is dead quiet and on a sunny day its just a really nice place to be with your car. I maybe be roaming about, I'll keep my eye out for your Clio.

topgeartom 09-13-2006 05:35 PM

Have you got the road number, ive had a scout on google earth and it looks like theres a few good roads around there.

Ill tell my mate to keep his eyes peeled, and ill let you know if im down in your area.

Daggernite 09-13-2006 06:02 PM

Look for the A640 which goes west from huddersfield town center. Follow it to New heys road. its a long straights until it becomes huddersfield road. In the video I was heading back towards huddersfield.

Mattk 09-14-2006 08:23 AM

That car looks absolutely awesome. The Fiesta ST seems a relatively affordable compact car which packs a mean punch. Hope you enjoy it.

Wow, there's not much chance of two strangers spotting each other in uni.

Even the ford saleman mentioned de-catting it :o he may not admit it though. And there is a chance of them bumping into each other, you never know.

^^The stripes in the end, aint going to happen... Maybe the side stripes though. Id definatly like to go rallye-style but at the momment I need to let my bank account grow. Firstly though I think Im going to get the power increased to 171bhp with pumaspeeds air filter and exhaust pakage. Then I'll leave it at that for awhile, but I definatly want some white alloys now you mention it.

Sounds like a huge rise for just a filter and zorst combo. I assume the exhaust system includes a cat by-pass as surely just a freer flowing exhaust wont free up 20bhp. Air filters dont add much HP at all - in fact on most cars they decrease power due to heat soak, i know the one i had on mine when i bought it did.

For 21bhp increase youd have to be looking at a de-cat, full system and a new manifold to see those figures. Maybe even a remap as well.

Well I dont blame you for thinking that, because that usually is the case. But it seems ford was taking the piss when it comes to the stock exhaust system. Im not mechanic but the exhaust is supposidly only 5cm wide at one point. Not sure what that means but its not meant to be good. So when an acutal good exhaust its put on with a air filter, the effect is mean to be alot greater than other cars.

Check it out yourself her at www.pumaspeed.co.uk. Also these clams are backed up with dyno results and many members over at the www.fiestastoc.com forum.

EDIT

Im having a bloody hard time find stuff on the site now. But what I was saying about the stock FiestaST exhaust system only been 5cm wide at one point. Well this is the part that is meant to cure that.

http://www.pumaspeed.co.uk/showdetails.php?id=145

Good results from just that alone, just alot of money too

So yeah with a complete exhaust and filter I should see some result I think. I hope. But im not doing anything for a while yet. I believe you should get to know you car from stock first so you know what you are building upon.

ANOTHER EDIT

There we go thats what I meant

topgeartom 09-14-2006 06:15 PM

This package claims to give 171bhp but like i thought it involves a sports 4-2-1 manifold and a decat, as well as the zorst and filter.

Hahaha, you must just be having a down day dude I get stuff mixed up all the time.

Ive been hanging round the cliosport forums a lot recently and the guys on there never shut up about performance mods and figures and all that jazz, so it just struck me when you first said 21bhp from a exhaust system alone.

Seriously though dude, i wont bother too much with the filter, ive learned from my own experience that if its performance your after go with a performance panel filter rather than a cone like a K&N 57i.

Whatever it takes that thing will fly with 170bhp. Should sound awesome as well dude.

gis 09-14-2006 07:48 PM

from what i was told the filter on this package IS a panel filter and this kit works wonders for the feel of the car as the exhaust on the ST is apparently holding back on the power so it doesnt match or even beat the focus ST170,i think the ST engine is a focus ST170 unit with the exhaust holding back its power for the fiesta.....or am i wrong? seems strange that this kit frees up the power to what a stock focus ST170 has

I imagine theres a lot of truth in that, ford isnt going to shit in its own handbag by having a cheaper car go faster than a bigger model. 20 BHP from a manifold, system and a decat is a huge jump for the standard power of the car - shows how restrictive the old system must be.

gis 09-14-2006 08:20 PM

some cars filter and exhaust systems are very restrictive,a guy in my town had a civic type R with an AEM intake and full exhaust and decat and he saw 227hp so nearly 30hp increase over stock, and i heard the ST is the same with its exhaust system, whetehr he gets 171hp or not he needs the exhaust and manifold as it will sound the dogs danglys :P

The exhaust will no doubt sound the bees bollocks and the manifold will look the nuts no doubt - DAGGERNITE - BIN YOUR HEATSHIELD!!! You cant go buy a shiny aluminium manifold and not have that showing!!!

I say you get a huuuge loan and have the thing running ITBs - ooof.

TT 09-15-2006 07:31 AM

Nice sky, nice car, nics pics :good: have fun, be safe!

yea the manifold looks amazing,i can get the same kit for my fiesta that Daggernite can get for his ST but i dont think it gains 21hp on mine,i think about 10-15hp on my ZS,but that isnt what Daggernite wants me to do to my car.....is it,lol

the ITB idea would be great, but costs a fair bit, theres a guy who done that to his ZS plus a lot of other stuff and is runnin 230hp.

but when Daggernite has got used to his new ST the 171hp kit is definately the way forward for him to take it to the next level and for just over £700 i think it is,he cant go wrong for a 21hp increase :D

Absolutely, in terms of £ per HP its a cracking increase, you usually have to be well into 4 figures to get those sort of gains.

And what does Daggernite want you to do to your car then gis? :D

gis 09-15-2006 05:17 PM

lol a racing puma spec 1.7 litre.he shouts at me to make me do it

No no no, I dont shout at him to get a racing puma, I shout at him to get a engine swap with the 1.7. But either way, if GIS wants to buy a FRP instead thats fine.

ohhh the arches

TransAm 09-16-2006 08:10 AM

Nice car Daggernite! Sounds great as well.

I considered a Fiesta ST but settled on the Fabia VRS in the end.

TT 09-17-2006 02:32 PM

Daggernite, do you remember that max signature width allowed on JW is 600 pixel, don't you? :P

Daggernite 11-28-2006 02:02 PM

Today England had a predicted weather forcast of rain, floods and just really bad weather basically. So when I looked outside and saw mr sunshine I decided to go and get some pictures like Komotar and TT and other JW members get. I seriously failed, and my respect for good photography was rasied since I just cant get good pictures. But I took a few so by chance I got a few decent shots by accident. I was just going to try get a good photoshoot of my car, but I ended up taking some of the country side aswell.

http://img295.imageshack.us/img295/3...0144xc5.th.jpg http://img424.imageshack.us/img424/6...1431kt0.th.jpg http://img424.imageshack.us/img424/4...0146or0.th.jpg http://img486.imageshack.us/img486/2...0150ja5.th.jpg http://img423.imageshack.us/img423/1...0147rx0.th.jpg

There all very average joe shots but im clueless when it comes to taking pictures and its just a simple point and click camra. But I do like this shot below.

http://img73.imageshack.us/img73/525...0165au7.th.jpg

Oh yeah and heres the country side which the whole road runs through, its a great drive if the road is empty, good surface, turns, camber it has it all its real fun.

**Imageshack is for some reason been an ass, so I'll have to post them later**

I thought these would be better of been in this thread rather than creating a new one :)

TopGearNL 11-28-2006 02:18 PM

Great countryside Daggernite, can really enjoy your car there :D

Mattk 11-28-2006 07:59 PM

Nice country road. I notice the green grass, something not often seen in Australia.

Sounds like you're enjoying the car. :)

1zippo1 01-02-2007 04:01 PM

I love the fiesta ST. I think it looks funky and cool!!

The nicest small car IMO.

I've been working for 3 months now and moved in with my girlfriend for 4 moths, but I can't imagine being able to spend enough money for a nice car like this!! I don't consider myself as someone who spends money carelessly. I guess I need to ask my boss for a raise :-)

For the moment I use the Ford Fiesta 1.25 (8 years old) from my girlfriend. I actually prefer my moms Yaris 1.0. The fiesta even decellerates on some hills... The steering feel is weird and the gearbox sucks.

Congrats with that superb little car of yours!!

Daggernite 01-08-2007 07:41 AM

Thanks Zippo you make me feel proud. At the momment my Fiesta is back at ford getting a few problems sorted out which consist of:

Stitching in the drivers side door coming undone for no reason.

Squeeky clutch that does my head in everytime i make a gear change.

Tracking has gone abit wonky so i have to steer slightly more to the right to go in a straight line. Its really annoying when having fun when driving quick because its unbalanced and i some times make the back end twitch.

The bulb in my incabin light is out, and little things like that bug me.

I think thats all. Ford have been great with me and they have given good friendly service so far. All the points mentioned above are to be carried out under warrenty.

So just thought mkaing a note of this, I think I'll use this thread as my car diary.

Daggernite 03-18-2007 07:26 PM

Well it had to happen some time. The first crime to happen to my car. £120 is what it will take to raplace my fog lights :x :(

http://img442.imageshack.us/img442/8...0066ol1.th.jpg

http://img409.imageshack.us/img409/8...0067qq1.th.jpg

Im searching ebay, if I find any fog lights in this area im going to be the winning bidder, and theres going to be a arse kicking.

TopGearNL 03-18-2007 10:08 PM

^^ Bastards! :fist:

I hope you catch the wanker that did this to you!

Pimp Racer 03-18-2007 10:54 PM

Damn dude thats gotta suck ass. Atleast they didnt take anything else.

ARMAN 03-19-2007 07:42 AM

Damn SOBs

Why do you say "It had to happen sometime"? is this so common in England?

jon_s 03-19-2007 05:37 PM

Damn that sucks - the fact that they cost £120 to replace and the fact that they are so easily removed shows why it happens

ARMAN, people breaking into cars in the UK is one of the most common types of crime :(

That is why my alarm will a) have any thief confused for a good while and b) will have them going death by the time they work it out - and yes I am aware of the noise limits to alarms and no I don't give a shit.

My friend has the same set up as I plan and he put it in the middle of a field and set the alarm off - you could hear it loud and clear a mile away. The key to not pissing everyone off is having it properly installed (only badly installed alarms keep going off for no reason).

Not that the alarm would have helped your fogs!

gis 03-19-2007 06:49 PM

As ive said its so annoying that they are so easy to steal.bastards people who do this,my car scratched to hell and yours havin things stolen off it,whatever next, lol

jon_s 03-19-2007 07:27 PM

what ever next? My car in cotton-wool for a start! LMAO

gis 03-19-2007 08:07 PM

lol jon beleive me if i would be spending on my car the ammount your doing on yours id never sleep because id be watching it,screw the alarm, get yourself guard dogs

ViperASR 03-19-2007 08:18 PM

that sucks man. Guess its a good thing they only jacked the fog lights though :x

SPEEDKILLAR 03-19-2007 08:59 PM

This brings back bad memories :x

Daggernite 03-20-2007 07:53 PM

yes it sucks, and its a common thing with the Fiesta ST. The bodykit usually goes aswell as the wheel center caps and they all end up on Ebay im guessing.

dani - The ST already has brake cooling air vents and I really liked my fog lights. Never get to use them often but because of sods law I did need them the day they went missing :( oh well pay day tommorow.

ARMAN 03-20-2007 08:06 PM

its illigal to use fog lights here only in case of fog wich we have very few times a year :? how it is in UK? :) i think its an inappropriate question :D

Daggernite 03-20-2007 08:09 PM

its always bastard foggy here. Specially at night in the hills which I have to drive through to get to work. :P

RC45 03-20-2007 08:19 PM

Damn sorry to read this. Violations of ones car always cut deep .

TopGearNL 03-20-2007 09:28 PM
