This is what i woke up to this morning :(

Read before you scroll!!

So i came home from working on my project car at about 1:30AM and i had to be up at 4:00AM to go to work the next morning. Well i woke up a little later than usual, about 40 minutes later. So i rushed out of bed, got my necessities and bolted out the door. Walking to my car this is what i find....

It is my beater so it doesn't really bother me. It just sucks that it hampered my plans for today and that i had to buy new wheels and tires from tirerack ASAP. I just find it odd that all the cars around the civic are worth at least twice as much and have much nicer wheels. This had beat up Si wheels on it and crappy kumhos with no anti-theft lug nuts(new ones will have it). And i'm not in bad neighborhood at all, i'm just curious if they were scoping out the car beforehand or was it totally random.

Well i should have new wheels and tires in tommorrow, shit happens, i've moved on.

Fleischmann 07-14-2006 06:04 PM

Sad to hear, especially since it was just a lottery wether they stole the wheels from you or your neighbours.

My neigbourhood is pretty bad, people here steal almost anything...we've been burgled a few times and lost equipment like a garden hose or wheel barrow...people must be so desperate.

ARMAN 07-14-2006 06:10 PM

Damn bitches :x  Sorry to see that Gobs3z :(

saadie 07-14-2006 06:13 PM

that is some fucked up shit :|
i feel for you man :( ..

sameerrao 07-14-2006 06:15 PM

Bastards!!!

gobs3z 07-14-2006 06:26 PM

The upside is i get new wheels, but i just thought this was random and i had to share. Either way, what comes around goes around.

nickthaskater 07-14-2006 07:09 PM

Fuck people are pathetic... Any front end damage?

gobs3z 07-14-2006 08:04 PM

No, not front end damage, but it is about a cm. away from getting it. Hopefully the wind wont blow it over.

blinkmeat 07-14-2006 08:10 PM

Damn - you should slap a pwned logo on it :P

Sorry to hear though. boss - that's rough

Well that's good to hear at least... How do you plan on raising the front end?

joe2tiger 07-14-2006 08:30 PM

edit

T-Bird 07-15-2006 01:11 AM

damn that sucks man. We have tons of old spare wheels/tires that would fit that car too, mostly steelies but they work. Where do you live? most parts of the city they won't really mess with a car like that when there are much better ones around.

BTW did you ever figure out the whole seatbelt issue? That really sucked how they gave me wrong prices and shit.

Minacious 07-15-2006 03:19 AM

God I hate thieves!

Erez 07-15-2006 03:51 AM

oh.. that sucks!

TT 07-15-2006 04:14 AM

Dang, if this isn't sick...

pterps 07-15-2006 04:41 AM

Oh man this really sucks, I am so happy with my wheel locks

Fleischmann 07-15-2006 06:21 AM

In Poland people are so desperate that there are more and more cases of petrol being stolen. I bet most drivers aren't all that furious about loosing a few gallons of petrol but by the fact that the thieves have to pierce the fuel tank, which apparently costs 150USD+.

Mattk 07-15-2006 08:40 AM

Damn, that sucks. Strange, as well.

MartijnGizmo 07-15-2006 11:50 AM

Maybe they are gonna use them in a local burnout-contest? :)

That's just a false sense of security. It might help against random thieves, but more professional ones just take a set of keys with them.

T-Bird 07-15-2006 11:53 AM

well that's quite a few set of keys, if the car has dealer ones they have their own unique keys and quite a few different ones.

dutchmasterflex 07-15-2006 12:37 PM

Yeah, and a lot of the time "professional" theives aren't stealing wheels off of a 13 year old civic..

Sorry gobz, definitely a horrible sight to see when you wake up.

Glad everything is workin out with the new tires and rims though.. Although you won't be totally fine until you find those bastards..

Z3uS 07-15-2006 02:00 PM

Shit man... Thats sucks bad.

Yeah i found a set on ebay for $30, so i thought it was a bargain.Well things got worse. I had a wet vac in the back seat (i really didn't think i would be hit twice) so somebody thought it was theirs to have too, and somehow stole and in the process pushed the car closer to the ground so the car is putting pressure on the front brake rotors. Oh and they stole my rear license plate. For all i know the interior will probably be gone by the time i get up tommorrow.

I was just going to take the jack out my parents van and use that to lift the car. I'm getting really sick of the car, i'll probably sell it and buy an old E-class (5th Gear sold me :) Shit happens though, nothing that can't be fixed with time and patience.

spanky 07-17-2006 12:07 AM

Bastards! Like you said its your daily runabout and its more the inconvience than anything. I've had my car broken into in the past also and its the inconvience of say having the wheels stolen or windows broken (on a raining day) etc.

The area I live in is a really good area, but a neighbour was doing renovations on his house and had a big industrial bin in his driveway for all the old bricks/wood etc and so left his car out the front of his house for the night for the first time in 4 years, and he woke up to his car on blocks and the 18" alloys gone.

So they knew his car was there and waited for an opportunity to arise!

I swear if I got hold of these scum :2gunfire: ! :ninja:

stmoritzer 07-17-2006 01:23 PM

That sucks :?
Sorry to hear, is the insurance paying for this ?

Pimp Racer 07-17-2006 03:14 PM

Thats gotta suck man. Hopefully you wlll catch who did it. BTW what color are ya gonna paint it when its done?

gobs3z 07-17-2006 03:39 PM

Well since the wheels and tires and worth more than $500 the insurance said it's not worth the claim. So it's all out of the pocket expenses, and i'm not planning on painting the civic, it's not worth the money, but the RX-7 will be silverstone.

evoWalo 07-17-2006 03:40 PM

That's gawful. I always thought things like that only happens in movies.

Times like these makes me wish we lived in a Muslim world. They know how to deal with thieves by cutting their hands.

Dont even bother getting money from the insurance. Sure you get money from them for the stolen things but they jack up your insurance rates like 100 - 300 bucks a month for 2 - 3 years which is a pain in the ass and not worth taking the claim. Just inform the cops at the very least for the hell of it.
