Vista Screen Shots

Meh, I really couldn't care less about that ratings crap and the tags. Outside of that, it just seems like a prettier XP (on the surface).
|
I am running Vista 64bit on a workstaiton at work.. and it is a bunch of eye candy
But everyone demanded it.. all those whiny macusers who complained that windows didn't look "all poofta". Well, now you have it as poofta as mac ever was ;) |

Running a beta OS at work? I'd still use XP SP2 + various dozens of patches.
i hope it's stable. ^_^ |
looks pretty nice thats about it
|
I have the beta as well, but I think I'll wait for a final version before I risk installing it on my PC.
I'm a bit... disappointed in Windows though. Now Vista just looks like Mac's OS. So now what? They've conceded to Apple? Even though I prefer using Macs, that's a bit ridiculous. |
Yea some more actual innovation would've been nice...

Here's that video:
The very last comment says it all... since... *ahem* |
^^LOL, so many bill gate pictures in photo gallery

Some have speculatied that the real reason MS announced a delay on the release of Vista was because Apple delayed their developers conference from July to August. Guess they needed time to copy what will be announced during the developers conference.
|
I still dont get how something looking like that and Windows Vista folder weighing over 2gb yields to a faster computer.
|
Although I like the new eye candy, I'm really embarrassed to see Microsoft blatantly copying Mac OS. Its disgraceful  :(
Edit: That video was legendary   |
So much money, and no imagination :|

People that are using Vista please chime in:
How is it running? Stability will come, but what about Speed? What kind of hardware are you running it on? Work's IT Dept. said that it will be clunky and slow. You will have to have at least 2GB of ram and possibly Dual Core CPUs. Also this will be heavily loaded onto the GPU as well a la OS X's Core Image. If that is true, that will force people to upgrade. |
64bit Vista actually screams on the 3.6ghz dual core dell I have
very fast but I want to reinstall XP so it can be even faster ;) |
it better have a classic theme.
Im runing it on my XP and have been using it since win95 days. |

Ill b sticking to my version of XP for a while. There is a tool (Forgot its name) that allows you to remove unnecessary parts from windows XP installer. I got a copy of a "lite" version of XP. It loads damned fast! When windows is on the windows loading screen (the black one with a bar at the bottom that moves while loading) it takes three times of the loading bar to go from left to right and windows starts.
When I click to open programs like Words, Exel, etc, it opens up before I even release the mouse button. Really fast. |
