An interesting view of things. Thanks Stan.

I guess I will be filling up in Johnson County (I live on the Tarrant/Johnson border) next time I need gas; it's a lighter shade of yellow than Tarrant!

Although, there isn't much at all in Johnson other than ranches and gas stations!

TNT 04-25-2006 09:20 AM

DAMN!!! everyone around me is 2.95ish not worth driving anywhere :x

dutchmasterflex 04-25-2006 09:35 AM

god damn. 3 bucks a freking gallon. I think I might drive to Montana to fill up.

Time for me to buy a 80's crotch rocket...

DeMoN 04-25-2006 11:46 AM

Interesting map. God it must have taken ages to do that. I live near Palm Beach and yeah prices seem to concur with regular. I pay 3.15 for premium at Mobile 1 (gotta support McLaren team right?) and damn I floor my car to 11mpg constantly. Think I ought to drive slower from now on.

wrong. 270hp 4 Cylinder K04 Turbo at 4500rpm ;)

how many MPG do you get? 5? must be hell for you these days.

Oh my bad.. a 270bhp 4 cylinder.

My 480bhp 5.7l V8 returned an average of 12.0 mpg after a 150 mile thrashing through the woods.. speeds ranged into the 160mph range - with most of time being spent in the 5000 to 6000rpm range.

I am guessing 4 cylinder turbos are not the best powerplants out there :)

mindgam3 04-25-2006 02:01 PM

Give a thought for us Brits, you are at just over $3.30 a GALLON,

We're at £1 a litre.

A gallon would cost us £3.70.... Thats way over $5 :(

even among the people who love the Vector W8; they believe so much false information that was published about it... just look at what foxfour was trying to tell me in the other thread...

It's interesting; but I can't be beaten into submission on anything but its style... i'll win every other "battle" lol

^^^intresting, can that go in any car?

Daggernite 04-25-2006 04:10 PM

I always wondered why japan had such a high octaine level rating and uks was so low. Guess its about time. Well I guess its no good for me and my 1.6 astra :fadein: but im pleased there at least giving people a better quality fuel for the rip off prices :)

pssssh....on public roads? that's not a thrashing my truck driving friend.

take it to the track...we'll see if it survives 2 or 3 laps. there, i redline at 7500rpm and easily spend my time between 5k and 7k... ;)

why are you going 160 on a public road? a bit daft...

4 cylinder turbos are definitely NOT the best engines out there....but they're damn good fun, and when i'm not thrashing it, i'm rolling at 25 to 30mpg.....can't complain.

When I am not thrashing I am rolling at 25mpg as well... your point?

2 or 3 laps? Try how ever long you care to use it.

You say 160 is daft because even at 11mpg you can't do it.

So we have an overweight, overpriced, gas guzzling 4 cylinder that makes less power, is slower and would spin out in a violently deadly crash without it's huge rice wing that VW\Audi had to add as a cheap tacky body kit addon... where is the fun again?

Interesting how you ignore the gas guzzling, overweight, underpowered truth.

The obnoxious ricer wing that ruins the rear lines of the TT is anything but small.

It is an aweful eyesore - and proof that Audi totally screwed up the design and engineering of the car - afterall the huge spoiler was added after the car went on sale and was already responsible for killing a huge number of hairdressers.

Incidently, hairdressers seem to enjoy running their hands through other men's mullets... that must surely mean something...

were at over $7 in Norway, and the government just announced with the Iran-"crisis" building up we will see prices of $12 a gallon, even though we have so much oil the gov doesn't know what to do with it.... not long ago they bought shares in Coca Cola... :slap:

Except jealous photshops don't count.

Let's keep this discussion factual and correct.

Yet again the haters have to resort to typical left wing liberal false press and lies.

Yep in Australia at the moment it works out to roughly $5.30 per gallon.

I'd love to be paying $3.30 a gallon!!
