So gay it makes liberachi a mans man

I love that setup.
Great lookign car - don't mind all these pussy Lambo haters... ;) :P I would buy a $70,000 Testarossa or Countach --- IF you didn't need a third investment account just to keep the bastards running... ;) As that video posted a couple days showed (as mentioned - Cannon Ball Run V12 music) that V12 would be a pleasure just to run up and down the gears on the back roads... but sadly it seems cars of that vintage are just not meant to be driven a lot... hehe :) Bloody Italians... never did learn how to build a reliable exotic... ;) |

Who are you calling pussy Lambo haters? :hmm: :fuck: |

^^ Just because some people prefer sleeker and more elegant looking Lamborghini's over the ones that are overdone and have unnecessary body cladding like this Countach, doesn't make them "pussy Lambo haters"!
This Countach is a prime example of what NOT to do to a supercar. This body kit looks like any other cheap body kit you would see on those stupid tuner cars that add the ridiculous plastic fake spoiler or a useless ground effect plastic parts, which serve only one purpose, to show how bad your taste of style is! And this one was done by the company itself, which makes it even worse. |
^^^ you are telling me you would pass up a clean low milage Lambo for a good price all b/c of a wing. wow new lows every day are reached on JW  :P
|
^^^ Not just because of the wing. Look at that nasty and unnecessary, plastic ground effect kit. :puke:
Compare the two cars, and tell me that the one on the top doesn’t look exceptionally better, pure and clean, and the one on the bottom has an unnecessary plastic ugliness stuck to it. http://img137.imagevenue.com/loc190/th_25675_lp400.jpg http://img141.imagevenue.com/loc24/th_25289_L897.jpg |
i would take either for 70K

who the hell did that bodykit?
|
If the model number of the car on eBay (LP500S) is correct, then the bottom portion is custom add on, and a really nasty one at that. Since the factory LP500S car only comes with the spoiler and the wheel fenders.
The top one is in the factory kit. It looks a bit better then the one on eBay, but still need to get rid of the wheel fenders or at least the huge wing. http://img18.imagevenue.com/loc290/t...6_lp500s68.jpg http://img14.imagevenue.com/loc45/th_74471_L913.jpg On the bottom one we can see how poorly they tried to duplicate the later Countache (LP500 QuattroValvole) with the similar ground effect kit. But the way this one was executed is just horrid to look at. :puke: Notice how the bottom of the car doesn’t line up with the raised front. Again, pretty Nasty. |
Quote:
Uhm - if the "body kit" (which is only an add-on rocker panel) bothers you that much - simply remove it after you buy the car... You are buying the car - Right?? Oh - and if you "purists" knew anything about anything, you would know the fender flares help house wider wheels.. but I guess it's more stylinsh to remove the flares and have the wheels sticking out the body line... |
Quote:
And when I said the factory (LP500S) car still needs to lose the wheel fenders and/or the wing, I was saying it not literary, I was simply saying it would look better like the previous Countaches without those add-ons, like some LP400S without the spoiler from the factory or the LP400 without any of those things! |

All I'm simply saying is that the original LP400 was a pure and beautiful masterpiece, and a timeless design done by an excellent designer (Marcello Gandini). The later versions just added unnecessary body kits add-on's to satisfy the crowd and style of the '80's which only made the car look fat and ugly. I'm just a person who love's the pure, clean, and sexy Italian style that the original Lamborghini Countach perfectly showcased, and not some "pussy Lambo hater" :) |
^^^ you guys sure hate on this car... if you were really Lambo "purists" you would be in love with every original design... even the ones that change with the times... :)

i'll take that "Lamborghini" W8 :P  0X |

First of all, the only Countach that is original is the first one, the LP400.

 There are allot of car companies in the world, some of them do allot of nice cars and some of them do allot of ugly cars. But ALL of them sometimes produce an unsuccessful car, or an ugly car. Just because you love a particular car company, or share a huge passion towards it, does not mean you should love every car they make. Otherwise you wouldn't be loving the cars, you'll be loving just the name. And that diminishes the whole reason to why you would like the company in the first place. |

woah this topic is getting heated. I dont know if I dare say this, but I was never a fan of the original coutach, but I actually like the one for sale on ebay. Not that I'd ever think of buying it, even if I did have the money to do so.
|
^^ Yep - there are some hot under the collar opinionated fan boys out there.. ;) :P
I think not enough people get out to enjoy driving with diverse groups of auto fans and somehow forget we are all in this gig together.. ;) If only all the opinated fanboys realized how many of us actually love ALL hipo cars - and are quite tolerant of even the pedestrian econo box... after all, we are moto-nuts... right? If they did, they would all live longer happier lives.. ;) :P |

Look who's talking. Weren't you RC45 the one who mentioned that we are the "pussy Lambo haters" just because some of us don't like this Countach? That's completely fine if you like the Countach on eBay or any other Countach for that matter, but calling somebody "Lambo hater" just because they hate the funky and ugly looking kit on that car which in my opinion ruins the original shape is why some people become opinionated. |
I haven't been a fan of the Countach since the 80's... it does sound nice; and go like stink
that said... perhaps i should be embarrased about this; but i do like the body-kit (factory speced) countach w/out the wing... I much prefer the Diablo VT |
Quote:
And you know what they say? Well, besides that there is no replacement for displacement... they also say that "The Truth Hurts"... and in case you though I was joking, there is always "Many a True Word said in jest..." :P And it would appear that I am not the only one who likes the "bodykit" Lambos... :) Oh - and you are more than welcome to join us for the next JW Houston Fun Run... But now that you have seen the route, don't expect me to wait for you like I did for this run... |

For your information, I wasn't hurt by the "pussy Lambo Haters" comment coming from a JW user who doesn't know much about me, and just flames about somebody just to prove his point. I was simply justifying my comments to why I don't like this Countach, because of its kit. And I'm not sure what your referring to when you say "The Truth Hurts", :? but the only true fact that I see here is that there are some people that like the ugly body kit on beautiful Italian exotic cars, and others prefer the pure and clean Italian exotic car design the way it was meant to be. Quote:
And I don't really care if your not the only one who likes this particular body kit Lambo, because you know what they say "where there's one rotten apple, there are many more" :P |

Fucking Shit. And you know it. Quote one single post where I have defended a false fact about or promoted a false fact about the C5 Z or the C6 Z? Just provide a single such quote. A single instance where I have promoted the Corvette (any model) as being something that it isn't? Just because YOU choose to not believe certain PROVEN facts or because you choose to use pathetic arguments like "feels better" "look better" or "better heritage" etc... does not make anything I post false. Look - you chose to fall in love with a chicks car, now you regter it.. won't be the first time someone did that. But back to the topic... Post one single example of a false fanboy comment I have made... EVER.. you will not find any. The reason? Not only do I know more about most performance vehicles that you do, I aslo have a far broader spectrum of interest than you do - and I am far more willing to limit discussions to facts and proven entities. Unlike yourself and many other haters that simply state your opinion and belief and then try promote these as fact. :) |

I really hope being called a "Pussy Lambo Hater" didn't insult your manhood - I mean for all I know you may not be a Pussy.. :P |

I don't really know much about you, but it seems like a very amateur way to say that I have far lesser spectrum of interest than you do  since you don't know much about me... ...and if you were so knowledgeable as you say, you wouldn't prematurely judge people from their coments. |

meh - this thread has run it's course.. no more fun to be had here :)
Go back to you regular scheduled hating. |
Why does everyone hate the Corvette? Seriously. It's probably the one car that has held it's strength in sales, and gotten stronger in performance, than any other sports car out there, without getting so egotistical that it's put out of reach of 95% of the population by an unjustifiable price.
Why does a car have to be upwards of 100,000 smackers to be glorified, reveled upon and drooled over? Fact is, the Corvette is a diamond in the rough. It is one of the few cars that doesn't require 10 grand in mods to scare the living fuck out of any Ferrari, Porsche or Lambo. Give me 5 grand and the engine itself will out muscle those posers. Naturally aspirated. Another 2 and the gearing will devour any track. I would like a serious answer to these questions. And no, "it's a plastic GM product" is NOT a serious answer. It's about as valid an answer as a woman's "because i said so" response when she's backed into a corner  |

Your going to start a flame war with that question there you know :P the same flame war which has happen like 4 times this month. Good Luck  |
Don't sweat it ZMan.. ;) I don't - I just chuckle and then go for a quick hustle through the woods and dream of one day having an F-Car or even Porker appear in my rearview mirror and pass me on the outside...
...then wake up from my day dream, as I have yet to see an F-Car out in the woods.. :P ;) (the few Porkers that have come out were close but no cigar :P - and here I am a conservative slow driver - imagine if I actualy knew what I was doing...) |

Second: The discussion in this topic is not about people hating corvettes, so you got the wrong one buddy. Third of all, I think the new Z06 Corvette is an excellent car for money. Hell, who wouldn’t want a supercar performance for 60k! (although I do prefer the design of the C5 over the C6) If I had the money I would definitely buy the new vette. |
Quote:
I'm sure you would like to have a similar body kit on your vette RC45, wouldn’t you! ..Oh, and don't worry, I won't call you a pussy Corvette hater if you do hate it. :) |

anyway, in all regards to the countach: For it's time, it was a breathtaking car. One way or another. But nowadays, it's limitations are painful, it's upkeep is dreadfully expensive and it's current value resembles nothing of what the icon it once was. The body kit shown is ricey even by todays standards, but money can't buy everything and on that list, taste is included. It's lines however, are still echoed in their cars. Though not as sharply or blatantly futuristic as done in the countach, they are still fairly aggresive, but not menacing. While i'm not sure if i would ever turn down the keys to one if i were offered them, i am sure i would not actively seek to buy one. |

The same could not really be said for the Lambo - even if it didn't have the "body kit".. :P |
