Must breath, overload of amazing photos   Nice work man!

You did very well! Congrats! Taming that 18-55 isn't easy!
|
Great set of pics Darkel! Fiorano is more and more beautiful with every pic i see
|
love them, love them all !!
thnx |
I'm surprised of the awesome quality and quantity of your pictures gallery Darkel. I already knew your photographic skills, but I think this Geneva Motorshow pictures set is one of your best ever. Comme on dit si bien en français, c'est du vrai travail de pro. http://www.rs6.com/smilies/thumbsup.gif
As I can see on your pix, the Audi stand is really crowded. Victim of his popularity you were surely not be able to take an excellent picture of the red B7 RS4 Avant in this context. Fortunately that you could take picture of the Sprint blue B7 RS4 Cabrio. http://www.rs6.com/smilies/rs4-kiss.gif The exotic car pictures which I appreciate a lot are the Veyron, Gallardo & LP 640, Zonda Cabrio and naturely the 997 turbo & GT3. |
Great pictures mate, well done! :good:
You can never get enough coverage of an event like this, and you got some more nice angles and shots. :D |
Thanks for the comments guys :D
Same here, dani, I almost missed Fisker (took a crappy dark pic in a rush) and completely forgot about the yellow gumpert apollo (hall 3 if I'm not wrong, I didn't even notice that one on the plan), the alfa diva, Ford GT etc. Happens every year, you just can't see everything  The wide zoom helped a lot, dunno how I did without it :) But it's still necessary, not to fall into easiness and use it everywhere IMO |
Very nice pictures! Thanks Darkel!

Thanks Darkel ! Great pics :D I especially appreciate the red Zonda F  What a car !!
|
Terrific pics. You really got the hang out of that 18-55. I especially like the Ferrari pics, cause it was damn hard to take pics of the new 599 GTB Fiorano with all the crowd around them.
btw, did you also had to use high ISO settings on some stands? |
Great pics Darkel...thanks! damn that Zonda is amazing... :D

Sorry, I guess I red your post to fast (a lot of posts to catch up after 3 days off :)) I always have the feeling my pics of motorshows are a bit too dark. Maybe I should go for the fully manual mode? Though I fear if I do that, I would get a lot of bad pics. |
It's just a habit, the 350D's automatic mode being a real flash-addict there is only one step to the other modes. I couldn't use lower apertures because that lens is really soft at f3.5, then I wanted to control the shutter speed ... and it's already the M mode :)
Then if it's still dark PS does the job to a certain extend of course ... Which mode did you use, Tv ? |
Most of the time I use S-mode (equivalent of Canon's Tv mode), because I want to make sure my pics are sharp enough. The downside is the camera chooses a too wide aperture opening when there isn't enough light. I guess I should start experimenting with M mode to get the pics I really want.

Thanks Darkel for your impressions from geneva.
Saved mostly the Ferrari pics, because we didn't had time to visit Ferrari this year :bah: (and the stand was very crowded) |
