-------------------------------------------------------------------------
The BMW Z4 M Coupé is a sports car for very special moments – moments the driver may well experience every kilometre, every mile on the road. Uncompromising, purist, and extremely powerful, this two-seater offers an unparalleled experience of undiluted dynamism both in everyday traffic and on the race track. Without doubt, its prize-winning 3.2-litre straight-six M power unit developing maximum output of 252 kW/343 hp offers performance of the highest conceivable standard.

Well it's not beautiful but it got some aggressive lines.. I hope it can carry out the name of an M Coupe as the old M Coupe did..

By the way is it me or is the window behind the door looks a lot like the window in the Nissan 350Z.. :?:

yg60m 01-29-2006 01:59 PM

Thanks for the link mate, very complete informations about this car. But, as already said, I prefer the M3 or even the roadster version. I don't really like the look of this car (especially the rear)...

Just_me 01-29-2006 03:06 PM

This car is 10 times cooler than the roadster. The handling is better in the Coupe as well.

its sure more cooler than cayman :D

and just me thanks for the pics, im in love

bmwdakias 01-30-2006 11:36 AM

I thing that it looks just great, aggressive with nice proportions, characteristics the Z3 coupe also had and made it one of my all time favourite BMWs. I definately prefer it a lot more than the roadster version of the Z4, I only wish they had squeezed in the v8 of the upcoming M3

Sm@ck 02-11-2006 09:52 PM

I really am excited about this car.

I also think that they should make a M4 CSL version. This car just begs to be made lighter, and have the grunt of that tweaked M3 CSL engine...

Now that would be a great car to have fun on the NS-ring.

DeMoN 02-12-2006 02:33 PM

wow it does look nice. I like the roadster version better, but I like this M coupe better than the previouis one in looks.

Leco Diniz 02-12-2006 10:54 PM

It's very "vintage" like any other Z serie in my opinion... I like this one.

r2r 02-12-2006 11:06 PM

Really nice pics Just_me.

ae86_16v 02-13-2006 01:58 AM

Just_Me - Any more of those in SUPER HIGH res?

Evo 02-15-2006 12:53 AM

This might be crazy.. But when will tuner companies put the V10 into this car..

sikx5 02-15-2006 06:24 AM

Hopefully its got the same great chasis the old M Coupd had, thanks for the link mate.
I do like the styling, it looks very sleek, but i liked the fat rear end on the old car, but nothing a set of decent wheels and tyres could fix

leo_26782 02-16-2006 04:59 PM

Superb. I just love it so much more than the Cayman :D There is no problem about the front being strange here :D

BTW, I will serously consider buying one in a few years, when the prices will drop a little and the early problems will be solved

Sydbom 02-16-2006 05:26 PM

blinkmeat: laughed my ass of too your little birdfight there hehehe

as soon as this Z4 coupé comes to the dealers I´ll be there! :-)

T-Bird 02-16-2006 06:15 PM

Hot damn this is a nice car I always loved the M Roadster and this is a lovely looking replacement. I think Everso may need to check one of these out as a possible TT replacement and yes I know you are done looking around.

Tyrone 02-21-2006 01:13 PM

Bmw are getting uglier by the minute and if it werent for its historical badge and the ripoff profit the company have made, BMW would have folded and gone bankrupt. As you can see it pays to charge customers enormous prices because during bad times it's make or break. In this particular instance - money talks and bullshit keeps coming and coming. Of course the "run out of idea" looks just got uglier and uglier.

It's a shame that BMW have gone out of it's way to steal Hyundai look and feel. IMO ??? thumbs down shame shame shame BMW.

Pehtren 02-21-2006 01:45 PM

^^bhhhullllshitttt :D

harryo2b 02-21-2006 01:57 PM

IMO that car is ugly. Interior is rather bland as well for an M car, similar to the last M-coupe. Waiting for a head to head with the Cayman S vs. M Coupe

Pehtren 02-21-2006 05:18 PM

^^nice said dude, and all 4by4s compare with the X5, so please dont talk garbage

No really it makes me sad that some ppl think this kind of a bmw... :)

Haha, well I am sure you are biased towards the M-car so I understand your thinking. I think it's been proven often that both the 996 and now the 997 both in base form have beaten the M3 around both the Nurburgring(not Nuremburg?) and Hockenheim Ring.

Disagree, the X5 loses heavily when compared to the FX45. Infact the vp of BMW NA even said that the FX45 is the kind of vehicle that BMW shoudl built. Why do you think BMW suddenly upgraded the 4.6iS to 4.8?

didnt know that, but still the X5 is an urban 4by4 almost first in his class  ...you can say.

On what planet is BMW the world largest luxury automaker?

34.4 Billion US dollars versus Mercedes-Benz's 136.9 Billion US dollars makes it bigger?

According to already several articles (from channel4 and autocar to mention two), a comparison between the Z4M and a Boxster has already shown the Boxster to be the better vehicle. I wouldn't be surprised if the Z4M Coupé ended up inferior in the eyes of the journos when compared against the Cayman.

In the end, it's all about subjectivity *shrug*

That's actually good news :D It means a used Z4M will depreciate faster than a normal car and I will be able to get one quicker :D :D :D Who cares what the others thinks as long as you like it

Shinigami 02-25-2006 07:17 AM

Yeah, I think I'd still rather get the Z4M/Coupé rather then a Boxster/Cayman. I'm just not happy with the direction Porsche is going.

harryo2b 02-25-2006 02:22 PM

What direction is that?

Shinigami 02-25-2006 02:35 PM

The fact that all their cars are starting to look the same...

It's been like this for a bit too long. Ok, I know some people like to say "if it ain't broke, don't fix it", but I guess I just like to see some 'radical' change, perhaps a very different Porsche, but I know Porsche tries to keep the image, and the current look is a trademark of theirs.

They're very good cars! I'm not saying they're not  But Porsches don't really turn heads anymore... especially in Switzerland which sells the most Porsches per head of any other country. It's become just another brand.

Even the 911 series is like... ummm, is it a turbo, or a carrera, or... you see? Just kinda makes me scratch me head *confused*

leo_26782 02-25-2006 02:46 PM

I don't really agree about Porsche getting "common". A 911 is definitely not rare in Switzerland, but it is still a wonderful machine. The Cayman has something in its line that makes it "not right". Maybe the front light? Or the ridiculous rear spoiler? I don't know exactly, but I do not like it as much as when it first appeared :|

Where I live they are getting kinda common since the introduction of the boxster and even the Cayenne.

So they are common in Gothenburg?
I know at least 5 M5 E60 in Gothenburg. Pretty common :D

I don't live in Gothenburg.. I don't exactly mean that you see Porsches on every corner like Volvos but they are way more common now than a couple of years ago before the introduction of the Boxster and the Cayenne. Unfortunately I don't find the sales figures right know but they would prove me right.

leo_26782 03-07-2006 02:04 PM

That's not what I meant by common at all. You must see a few dozens of Porsche a day if you go around Geneva. But a common car is a car that you see in the street without noticing it. That's everything but the case for a Porsche IMO: it has something special. Maybe just in the aura around it, but still, I like them :D
