doesn't look as hardcore as the s4, but still looks less in-your-face then the m5

Another great looking Audi! I like them more by every new model that is released. The Estate version looks even better IMO. And anyway, may father´s got an A4 and the build quality is simply stunning :shock: Audi really is getting better and better.

5.2 V10 i hope the engine to be as revy as M5s, the BMW will have to tune M5 a bit for the upcoming RS6 :twisted:

Looks nice. Back of the sedan looks a bit too tame however...

Actually the car looks awesome, and probably the engine is almost as brilliant as M5´s and as brilliant as the mercs´s V10; however, from my point of view the car lacks in power (and probably in performances) compared to the M5 or the merc, and if I were used to the 500bhp Id see the difference

On the other hand, I miss the Biturbo engine that used to have the former RS6, the former RS4, and ill miss a lot if the 5500 merc kompressor engine ir replaced by the 6300cc one

Finally, an aui sedan that looks good and agressive. This is one of the first Audi's that I would actually think about buying. The sedan that is, I still would have no use for the estate. But that S6 saloon is a fine looking automobile.

It does bother me that they were only able to get 420 hp out of a V10. Thats a little on the pathetic side. And I don't even want to know aht the price will be. Audi's are usually overpriced anyway...especailly the S models. When similar competition is factored in along with reliability issues, these cars aren't worth it IMO.

If the S6 would have had 500Hp the room for a RS6 would be too small...

It' not that they aren't able to get more hp from the Gallardo engine. It's actually detuned.

Then it's a waste. They held back on something that could have been so much better. And why? To create the market for the non-detuned RS6? Hmmm, sounds much like the Porsche Caymen having to fill the niche between the boxter and the carrera.

It doesn't look bad at all :) The wheels look a bit weird....:roll: but it's fine!

But....what engine will have the RS6 ?? This V10 is the biggest engine Audi has nowadays. Are they gonna use the V12 from the Murcielago ???? :shock: Or a biturbo version of this V10 ???

What the heck is the row of LEDs on the lower bumper for?

Damn it, another car w/ the intergrated navigation on the dash now too. . . so ugly.

The integration of the dash nav is because of new laws forcing manufacturers to make the navigation at eye level, and i think the LED's are for shits and giggles and i assume they look badass at night. I can't wait to see one in person and i hope the U.S. gets more than just the Avant this time. I really wish they'de change the rear tail light design, it's too soft.

It is great looking IMO but I wonder if a manual will be available too :?:
What is interesting is that it doesn't really compete with the M5 or E55 (I suppose the RS6 will ) or even with 545i or E500.

How much does that porker weigh?

S6=1910kg and S6 Avant=1970kg.

I agree!, but I also think that this S6 looks the business :D

I like it a lot, but those LED's on the lower bumper do look very weird.

I think it's got a restrained look, not too flashy. I wonder what they'll make of the RS6. An RS8 would be cool to IMO.

I also like very much this new Audi S6 model. From the stylistic point of view, this S6 is very successful and it's similar to those prototypes that we see a couple of months. Concerning the engine, it's a surprise, although several source stipulated the new S6 engine would be a V10, but for me I were persuaded the engine was the V8 FSI 4.2L 420bhp from the new RS4.

No doubt on that, the next RS6 will be awesome ! :wink:

I think the car looks great as I have previousle stated, but I also think the engine is too much of a compromise. They held back.

Does anyone know if Audi has fixed the reliability issues with their cars yet?

My neighbor had an S4, but the thing spent more time in the shop than at his house. He has since bought a BMW.

is that an automatic or the new dsg?

That is a nice audi, I especially like the rims. I think audi makes one of the nicest rims in the market.
