I have a feeling this is road legal other than an air bag, and loud exhaust. The exhaust is a simple fix, i dunno about air bags. But either way they should sell this car like it is as a track car, it's dam reliable but constantly getting 98 octane would be a pain. That can be ramapped and still have more hp on 93.

/\/\/\It doesnt have an e-brake Im sure, hence not road legal.

I'm just implying that it's so much Z06 that it isn't difficult to make street legal, but i wouldn't see the point of it being street legal.

It's basicly like a 360 Challenge is to the 360 stock.

But the times they set are still very very different.

i agree a Z06 "RS" or something would be AMAZING. and... its power isnt that different from a stock car... i can imagine this car may be as much as 2-3 seconds faster around a track.... like a CS vs a standard 360.

i ownder how much this car cost...? an additional 10k?

Well if you gut a car, put slicks on it, stiffer suspension, and better brakes, what the heck do you think is going to happen. The engine and drivetrain are basically stock and everything done to this car, even down to the carbon fiber parts would cost under $15k, where as a Challenge would be in the $50k range in parts if not more. THe Z06 gt3 is much closer to it's road going car compared to a Challenge and the 360.

That this car is much closer to stock than the Challenge is to the 360. The Z06 is based off the C6R while the Challenge is based of the 360 road car. So in reality your just putting the Z06 back to it's original state while your taking a 360 and making it into something it wasn't originally, but the 360 still does a good job at it at a much higher price and the Challenge has a lot less relation to it's road. This isn't too difficult to grasp.

I really don't understand your comparison to the 360c, all i'm pointing out is this is a Z06 to it's basics and it wouldn't be hard to make it road legal, there shouldn't be an argument to this. This isn't a C6R it's a Z06 GT3, it has to have a huge relation to it's road car. What can you possibly argue about with that statement?

well, you cant turn any 360 Challenge into a street legal car... a large portion of them have no title; and therefor, can never be driven on the street. i wonder if the same is true of these Z06 R's ?
the 360 modenas that were converted to challenge spec, can be converted back again... and a 360 challenge with a title can be converted to a road going car...

Make the same thing to a regular Z06- just add wing, front splitter and rims. And then you have a streetable package as well. This car is just like the 1995 and 2000 Cobra R models, ready for homologation into a racing series. Could we see these at next years LeMans?

Now if only they would make a GT2 version.
