awesome, thanks for the article
|
no not the bmw V10 in it  joke
cool it would be too fast, and i hope the car would sound like the M6 :D thx |
I saw that car at MPH05 (Clarkson's motor show) and it's quite a unique looking car. Not beautiful, but definitely full of character. It would look pretty wicked at the stop lights, because nothing else looks like it.
|
It would be nice to see this beautiful car with that amazing engine :o
PS: 1000 posts!!! 8) |
This car is very beautiful and with an engine like this it would rock!
|
god, that is a great looking car! and the v10.....what can i say that hasnt already been said?
|
i love it. and this would make me love it even more
|
I also think the Wiesmann looks stunning and is very rare (i´ve never seen any Wiesmann on German streets so far) and this engine will make it even better.
|
I think every car manufacture needs to use the BMW V10 :)
|
Am i the only one that thinks they should have nevers strayed away from the M3's straight six? A perfect british retro design link with a perfect straight six, why ask for more. It's the feeling you get when you drive through the turns and the sound that goes along with it, and not just the acceleration. I'll honestly be disappointed if they do it!
|
I would love for a car maker to put the BMW V10 into a mid-engined lightweight but I guess this will be as close as it gets.

It's not just the fact that it'll be weighty with a V-10, but whats the purpose of having that much power in this lightweight car. And who has the right to put a V-10 in a British look-a-like car, it'snot right. The straight six in British cars is the perfect, and has heritage to it. Especially since the TVR's main engine is a straight 6. Speed isn't everything, but the feeling you get when you hear the engine and turn into the apex is everything.
|
i think the car looked a bit weird.. but from what i've seen on top gear.. the car is ridiculously fast.. and these guys are thinking of using an M5's engine?! its torque would probably shred the car
that wud be overdoing it i think.. |
I think the V10 (although good for say a race car setup) may actualy be overkill can you imagine driving it in the wet even with TCS on one word .....DEAD
I like the idea of a V8 in it though |

b e A utiful car :)
Superb engine :) :) I just found out that the weight is 1190kg  is this true, because 1190 kg and 507 hp v10 would be ridiculously fast. That's pretty much the power-to-weight ration of a MC12!! |
It's a damn shame BMW couldnt suck it up and give them that engine ;)
I don't blame them though.. who the hell would buy an M car when you can get somethin like this with that V10.. |
wiesmann is owned by some bmw executives, that is how they get SMG2 and all the electronics they need from bmw.
V10 is not yet a reliable unit, i think when it is good enough wiesmann will get it too. And also all the v10s they can produce, go now to M5 and M6, sales are good. Alpina had to stop making their Z4, because new M Z4 was on the same terrotory and bmw stopped delivering engine block for their 295hp conversion. |
Alpina was stopped by BMW?
Interesting.. makes sense though. Crossing my fingers that BMW will get them a V10.. although its not like i'll be able to import one! |
