Ferrari/Lambo Cruise - 3 more passenger rides!
Its just crazy lately – I don’t what I’ve done but passenger rides are just falling into my lap.
All 42 high-res pics can be viewed on my website  www.ozcarsightings.com The Ferrari club met up early morning, with the plan to drive to the Sittella Winery for lunch and some wine tasting. I was actually meant to tag along for todays drive in my WRX, but when I turned up I was told there were 3 free seats – Diablo VT, Countach and Dino and I should make a choice. At this point I didn’t know I’d end up in all three anyway. :D I went with the Countach to start with – what a surreal experience getting into this car! I had hardly any room between my head and the roof and it was just generally uncomfortable. The owner warned me I would be boiling hot, have heat stroke and a headache by the time it was over – and he was right!!! For a 35yr+ old car it still goes like hell, makes the right sounds and an impact on the road like no other. The brakes on the other hand are nothing special, tested my nerves a few times. J It wasn’t the most luxurious drive ever – but in the end its all part of the experience. http://www.ozcarsightings.com/preview/drive.jpg beating the Murcielago in a drag race..... :P http://www.ozcarsightings.com/preview/drive(1).jpg We had to make a stop for fuel (it used ¾ tank for the trip), and he said I should go in the Diablo (also his) to cool down a bit. His wife was driving the red beast, but let me tell you she doesn’t drive like the typical woman! The Diablo has always been a dream car for me, so to finally get a ride in one was unreal. Everything in this car just works better and is that little bit faster – and I love the seating position in the Diablo. There is really nothing about the Diablo that I dislike, I think I’m in love. http://www.ozcarsightings.com/preview/drive(2).jpg http://www.ozcarsightings.com/preview/drive(3).jpg I’ve now been in the Murci, Gallardo, Diablo and Countach – so a Miura would be nice now. The Diablo/Countach owners live near where we went for lunch, so they didn’t make the drive back into the city. So that only left the Dino for me to get back home in – great I thought! :P A much more subdued/relaxing ride in the little Ferrari, but still a car I would love to own one day. It looks sensational, and I have to say I was still impressed by its on-road performance. :D http://www.ozcarsightings.com/preview/drive(4).jpg going through the tunnel was amazing, the chorus of 3 Lambos and many Ferraris was to die for! http://www.ozcarsightings.com/preview/drive(5).jpg There were actually a few other cars too. :P Unfortunately the parking area at the winery didn't allow many nice pics, but after the day I had I didn't really care to be honest. :) F430 Spider, the first time the owner has taken it on a club drive http://www.ozcarsightings.com/preview/drive(7).jpg Lamborghini Murcielago 40th Anniversary (25/50) http://www.ozcarsightings.com/preview/drive(6).jpg 550 Maranello, the owner also has two Lambos at home. http://www.ozcarsightings.com/preview/drive(9).jpg We had three 360's - two Spiders and a Modena... http://www.ozcarsightings.com/preview/drive(8a).jpg All 42 high-res pics can be viewed on my website  www.ozcarsightings.com |

The Murcielago one (third from bottom in your first topic), really has too much and its darker color doesn't help ;)
I really end up pissed off like hell when it happens to me :? luckily on SLRs camera the problem is not so big since you can go up to 800 and still have acceptable quality... but I'd try to pass that pic through Neat Image to see how it will end up |
I've reuploaded that one, looks pretty good now - thanks. :D
|
he did it again!!! Congrats Dingo!!! I've seen a white countach like 4 months ago and I was just blasted away :D . and you were sitting inside!!! :good:
but as TT mentioned, some pics (I'd say) are OVERsharpened :( maybe originals are still ok... |
Amazing story again, dingo... and i'm still not bored :)
I love hearing these stories, and its great that you have established such a great relationship with the club in Perth 8) Looking forward to more "ride or drive" stories :good: |

i like the cars, the diablo is to die for 8) and thansk for the pics :D |
Re: Ferrari/Lambo Cruise - 3 more passenger rides!
  Dude, how do keep pulling off so many passenger rides. It's crazy!

For sure very cool to have a ride in a Diablo, Countach and Dino. I've heard before the Countach is a hard car to live with. It seems like this Italian beast isn't too fond of his passengers :D Probably the downside of its extravagance. The red Diablo looks stunning as well, with a very nice custom plate (note the two-tone background colour). And I still like the Dino a lot. IMO it makes a nice sound considering it's 'only' a V6. The 40th anni Murcié is an eyecatcher as well. First time I see a 308 in this light blue, not exactly my fav colour for this car. F430 Spider looks hot as well! And some nice pics you took as well. Too bad some of them are on the grainy side (or oversharpened as Mihals said) |

I guess its a Countach. But Countach can't beat Murcielago...

:P

Great pics Dingo as always ... i want more pics of cars in enviroments , like mountaints and the cars dont know ... i use your pics as wallpapers , some are simply stunning .... thx :D
|
does "green with envy" say anything to you
Holeee shit man, are you freakin' kidding me?? what a day! Out of the three, I guess you'd take the Diablo home. Or am I wrong? I love the Diablo, Countach combo shot. The Murci is the 40th aniversary one, isn't it. Almost didn't notice the 430 spider. What a car. Thx a bunch for the story and the pics 8) |
Love the pictures!
Perth has more super cars driving around than Adelaide seems too thats for sure! You didnt happen to get any footage you could put up as well did ya? :D |

I agree on the Dino sound, especially when he was blipping the throttle on the downshifts - lovely! :D Maybe my vision is still blurred from yesterday, but which pics are still a problem? Quote:
Yes its a 40th Anniversary - number 25/50. Quote:
No footage sorry. :) |
Holy jump! How could I miss this one? Congrats Dingo you lucky bastard! jk
Thanx for sharing pix with us! What a pix! |

that is incredible, just incredible. Amazing Stuff!! Love the shots of the Diablo, still a stunning machine, and from what Clarkson has said in the reviews, you need to be quite huge to drive it? but he says alot of things though. again some great pics, and your one lucky bastard mate! |
You'd be suprised what is lurking in Adelaide - there are a few Miuras for example that I know of.
No footage sorry. :)[/quote] I know they had over 80 Ferrari's at the classic on the weekend. The guy was on the loudspeaker sprouting it was the biggest collection of ferrari's in one place outside of europe lol..... I have seen a few modena's and 355's but not often so ill have to keep my eyes out for those miura's dingo!!! |
Some nice pics of the 40th anni, my fav Murcielago :D

The guy with the yellow Gallardo who came to Alice Springs is from Sadeliade ( :P ) and uses it as a daily driver (~20,000km in a year I think), though his new E60 M5 is doing those duties lately. |
dingo, you are da man!!! Thank you for all your storys and pix!
|
Been away for the WE and - - another passenger ride for Dingo, sorry , 3!!
saved again many of the pics, well done! the headache is over I hope? |

Maybe my visions was blurred by your amazing pics, cause I can't see any noticeable grain in the pics right now, except the 3/4 frontal pic of the F430 Spider in the shadows. My well-exercised eye sees some grain in the front airducts and the front rim :P No seriously I can't see any on the pics right now. Strange... Maybe I was just too tired yesterday :D |
dingo.. your album is one of the bests.. 8) 8)
Thanks for the F550 and F430.. :D |

I sure hope this means more rides in future - a front engined V12 Ferrari (550/575/456/612...) is still something I haven't been in. Yep I see that in the F430 pics too, thanks. :) |
great opportunity dingo! glad to see you had such a great experience, and seems like you are making friends in ALL the right places 8) congrats bro keep up the good luck, and keep reportin to the JW crew :D
