from Alfista to Maseratista
guys,
a dream came true, you may remember my request for a video on a 3200 GT which I posted here: looking for 3200 GT Video and maybe my introduction post..... New Alfista on board been a while away, needed to save some money and sell my 166 and GTV in order to get what I always wanted, a 3200 GT. I still keep my Espace since this is our family car but now I got a new toy. from a 'custom' point of view I will lower the car, put on some nice 19 inch rim's (next year) and I'm also thinking about the Gransport sideskirts. some shiny V8 and Maserati batches will do the rest ;-) have a look! Custom Shot http://img457.imageshack.us/img457/5...i0054so.th.jpg http://img457.imageshack.us/img457/9...i0045fj.th.jpg http://img455.imageshack.us/img455/4...i0033ng.th.jpg http://img455.imageshack.us/img455/2...i0025nj.th.jpg http://img455.imageshack.us/img455/7...i0017bq.th.jpg http://img455.imageshack.us/img455/4...i00a7il.th.jpg cheers, Iwan |
congrats dude ..... thats a big big leap ahead ... the boomrang lights are my fav ... and imo blue is the best color for this car .....
|
Komotar gonna have a heart attak
Congrats!!! :P As said above, bumerang lights were more stylish  Have a great fun with it and feel free to post bunch of vids :P  |
Congratualtions
I know just how the masser sounds, anit is gorgeous. Nice colour and a tidy interior too... it looks very well looked after. And thanks god it has the boomerang lights... thats what puts me off about the new 4200GT :| Enjoy the car, i'm sure you deserve it 8) |
nice car this i like with bumerang lights :D
it just perfect and iwan ypu should change your avatar pic :D |
That's great dude!!!! If you plan to come to Lausanne or nearby in the future, what about letting me know so I could use 30 minutes of your time and add the 3200GT to my indepth list? http://www.swisscarsightings.com/indepth.html

@TT, well who knows TT, i'm still in paris. moving back to zurich at beginning
of december. i'm maybe 3 - 4 times in geneva/lausanne per year since I've got some family down there (and in valais as well). so.....i'm gonna ping you as soon I'm in your region and hey...I'm not one of those who is hidding key's and does not allow any one else driving it's own car...... ;-) if you know what I mean...... keep you posted. realised that you're in paris sometimes (out of your posted pictures), just tell me when you're around..... btw. have been to nice recently to drive formula 1 - if you guys are interested i'll post some pic's... and if you give me some time will even write a quick report although english isn't my mothertongue. cheers iwan |
  8)
Way to go Iwan!!! You own one of the nices asses of the past decade 8) Congrats on getting the car man!! I hope you and your new toy will get to spend as much time as possible together 8) The shape of those lights in the rear realy deserved to stay on the scene for a longer time.... Thx for posting the pics and YES tell us about the F1 thing!!! @ARMAN damn right  |
Great car mate, looks stunning, would be perfect if it wasnt for the auto box in my opinion
|
I must say I have alawys had a soft spot for Maseratis coupes/ Although they aren't top notch in terms of cornering and general feel, the shear rumble of the V8 and gorgeous looks rank this car very high in my book.
Congrats dude!! Make the most of the car :D |
Iwan, hell, talk about a nice guy! I was offered the keys of a Modena some days ago, my first F car experience :D so now I am no more Porsche, AMG nor Ferrari virgin :D I wouldn't mind having a spin in a Maser obviously :D but don't worry, I never ask :D pics are usually what I "need" :D
Well, I am in Paris just once or twice a year, next time will be probably March 2006, so it would be probably easier to meet here in Switzerland. Whenever you plan a trip to the french part of it and have some extra time, just ring a bell! As for the F1 experience, definitely interested in knowing more! |
tx dudes, hey listen, it is f... friday night and theres a little too much alcohol involved
tonight... especially for a young dad who can't just go out and throw up at a stupid wall somewhere in the village  , can't post a full story since you guys wouldn't be able to understand what your petrolhead iwan is trying to tell you but some pics here....more to come! ...take care and cheers from paris. http://img487.imageshack.us/img487/1...34465yi.th.jpg http://img487.imageshack.us/img487/5...34883le.th.jpg http://img497.imageshack.us/img497/7...34833yy.th.jpg http://img497.imageshack.us/img497/9...34556ej.th.jpg iwan PS. even got some high compressed videos but don't kow where to post. so any tips are more than appreciated. PS II: TT, again, I'm not that complicated, will de-virigin you in the maser world! c u soon, cheers. |
Brillant! On which track? I suppose you can still answer some simple questions despite the alcohol :P
as for the vid, if less than 50 MB: www.rapidshare.de is a good idea. And I hope to meet you soon! |
Sorry guys really too drunk, but he, it is on the Circuit the Var in South France and here is the link of the racingschool...
http://www.racingschools.com/race/in...shop&Itemid=46 will post some details as soon I have recovered and he - tx for the link reg. movies. cheers Iwan |
LOL Iwan, have a good night of sleep dude! :D
|
BTW: this trip...zurich - nice - zurich was my first trip with my maser although
everyone told me not to do, since reliability isn't that good especially for a 2nd hand car..... - fuck'em, nothing happened within those 1,200 km (750 miles) except the fuel consumption ;-) - holy shit...... even had a quick race vs an audi RS2 (0 to...roughly 150 mph (in milan) .... (no big deal btw., it started after a toll barrier....didn't notice the two guys in there red RS2 stationwagon..just heard some trubo's trying to get fresh air....looked over to them....squinted over...pressed my gas pedal down...waited a couple milliseconds until my two IHI turbocharger catched some fresh air...and...damit when they kicked in it just rocketed me.. that f... fast I even couldn't believe it...took me some time to catch up..but at a speed of roughly 100 mph's I overtook'em and......was a hell of fun....), luckily I got an automated transmission - I bet I couldn't handle the rpm's by hand for the first time......... anyway... the 3200 just brought me back safe and w/o any circumstances. ok, leaving now... sleep well guys! cheers iwan |
@dani_d_mas..... belive me, it doesn't matter if it is an actual F1 or 'just' a
2000 F1 car.......maybe 2 seconds less per round...but anyway..hey... it just ...it just... 'scares the shit out of you' bye bye. iwan |

would be nice to hear abaout formulas :D |
Congrats, Iwan! I always preferred the design of the 3200. The boomerang lights are so much better!
About the F1 racing school, I saw it on tv a couple of times. I can't imagine how brutal that is, driving a F1 car... Looks like you're enjoying life to the max. And yes, I include your drunkenness in that. |
Very nice ride you got there man! Do come and give TT and me a visit sometime :D
|
well my fellow petrolheads, has been a while.....OK, still reading and
enjoying JW every day but do not have had time to bring some real value add here but at least I do have some update on my current rides. basically sold my Espace and upgraded from Maserati 3200 to 4200 knowing the rules....first of all.....well, latest custom shots.... Maserati Coupe GT Custom Shot http://img140.imageshack.us/img140/2...roof2ez.th.jpg Alfa Romeo 156 SW GTA SLSPD Custom Shoot http://img89.imageshack.us/img89/472...roof9tt.th.jpg main reason going from 3200 to 4200 is just because i had an amazing offering for my 3200 since it seems to becoming a pretty rare model, on top I never really felt safe in that car this because of the kick ass turbo's, as soon they start to thrill you just can manage that least anymore, .....especially in winter a hell of a dangerous car. the 4200 is just a different car, sorry to say but everything is just 'better' and I love the CambioCorsa transmission and the sound of the engine. http://img477.imageshack.us/img477/1...both7ua.th.jpg the 156 SW GTA is our 'familycar' basically my wife's day to day ride, it's a hell of a fast car too and the Selespeed transmission is fun toy though...... Alfa Romeo 156 GTA SW SLSPD http://img523.imageshack.us/img523/5...back6uw.th.jpg http://img523.imageshack.us/img523/8...ack14lk.th.jpg http://img523.imageshack.us/img523/8792/side49ow.th.jpg http://img477.imageshack.us/img477/2351/side33ah.th.jpg http://img477.imageshack.us/img477/1141/side10xk.th.jpg Maserati Coupe GT http://img214.imageshack.us/img214/4...38971nz.th.jpg http://img214.imageshack.us/img214/6...38956ko.th.jpg http://img214.imageshack.us/img214/5/img38945ot.th.jpg http://img214.imageshack.us/img214/3...38909hm.th.jpg enjoy, will try to post some stories as soon as possible! hello from sunny Switzerland, Iwan |
Now that's a family car..
definitely Grade-A MILF status driving that.. |
Another great car in your stable dude! Congrats and thanks for custom shots :good:
Actually I am even more interested in shooting it now :D I already have a 3200 GT in my indepths :D and a Gransport :D so the 4200 would fit very well inbetween :D Rememeber, whenever you want :D and BTW, I wouldn't mind the GTA too LOL :D BTW, in the near future I will probably come to AG to shoot a Diablo ;) |
Your garage is just  , it looks like you are crazy on italian car
The 4200 is to , and the familly wagon rules :D Enjoy the cars :P |
Congratulations! This is a great ride.
|
Congratulations with your new 4200. IMO 4200 is looks better than 3200. GTA is very good car as a family car!
|
Nice car you have there, Iwan, you should be very proud!
:good: |
That GTA looks excelent with those wheels  Great cars Iwan :good:
|
I want some vids, with the sound of the Coupe. :P
|
Guys, need your help. bought a set of ball polished GranSport wheels as a bargain.
thinking about putting winter tyres on the 'standard' wheels and have summer tyres on the GS rims. http://img419.imageshack.us/img419/7...5359it8.th.jpg well not sure about the color combo (silver car, 'blingbling' style GS wheels) so I'm wondering how it would look if I put these 'as is' or wheter I should paint them grey/darkgrey..... if some of you photoshop enthusiast could do me a favor and shop'em that would just be more than nice, in any case comments would be more than appreciated...... quality of the set of wheels may not be good enough, but i'm sure if you do a google search you'll find ton's of pics.... http://img182.imageshack.us/img182/8...0209ea4.th.jpg http://img176.imageshack.us/img176/2...0208da5.th.jpg tx again, cheerio from Switzerland, Iwan |
No PS time, but IMO indeed the polished look won't suite the car.
Gunmetal could be a good idea actually |
nobody time for a 5 min PS job? i would do it by myself but the results are
just useless crap.... tx in advance! cheerio Iwan |
I'll try something today.
|
OK, a quickie...
Bling http://img301.imageshack.us/img301/2533/blingvx4.th.jpg Non-bling http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/3...lingbr6.th.jpg Obviously you won't choose the chrome version, right? :) |
holy fuck! tx man! my best wishes from CH to the NL!!! definetely would go
for the non-bling bling version - you helped to find a decision LotusGT1. cheers iwan |
You're welcome. A small effort for me, glad it helps you this much! I'm curious at the end result, I'm sure you'll post pics here, right? ;)
|
