Damn, with this new engine the Renaults are faaast on the straight.

leo_26782 10-14-2005 02:22 PM

Not fast enough to beat the Mclaren

I sure hope so!

nthfinity 10-14-2005 03:50 PM

my hopes for this race:
Kimi takes 1rst
Fisi takes 2nd
M. Schumacher 3rd
Barrichello 4th
Button 5th
Coulthard 6th
Alanso-ret collision with JPM :P
JPM-ret ^^^

the rest i cont particualry hope one way or another :P

although i think the mclarens are very very strong... they have shown the best mechanical grip in the bumpier circuits, and i dont htink anybody can contend with them my 2/3 completion. the renaults have too much understeer... but thats what has been all yaer... cant wait for the race tomarrow night :)

more likely it will be "Alonso - ret. collision with Sato" :P
he's been on a role recently, don't see it stopping here.

Since Ferrari's off-form this year, I'm hoping McLaren can pull off a 1-2, or at least enough to win the constructor's title. France already has the constructors and driver's champs in WRC, so they don't really need the title

hehe, theres some meathod to my mad hopes...
1, Kimi proves hes the better driver w/unreliable team
2 Mclaren/Renault share the constructors title
3 M.S. maintains 3rd in the drivers title
4 alonso says he is 'unlucky' but we know better
5 montoya is a casualty of war

gucom 10-14-2005 08:29 PM

i think we have a true montoya fan here  not that im 1 either :P but i dont wish him to crash or anything, McLaren should win the constructors championship...

sameerrao 10-15-2005 03:03 AM

Read it and weep knuckleheads  ... Alonso is on pole 8)

The Renaults were the fastest on the straight. Alonso and Button were really smooth on track with no mistakes.

Kimi had two mistakes which cost him in the end. However, I believe he is on much heavier fuel load and will thrash the Renaults tomorrow. Question ... is Montoya lightly fueled - he may not finish high up in the end then. :hmm:

Good to see both Ferraris in the Top 10 for a change :D

My guess... 1st Raikkonen, 2nd Alonso, 3rd Button. Fisichella out, same as Montoya - constructor's title for McLaren... right?
with that guess (similar to mine) they tie in the constructors battle... i dont think thats ever happened

SFDMALEX 10-15-2005 11:48 PM

Blahh, there is absolutly no way I can make it to watch the race today...physicaly exhausted from work, my cold still didnt go away, and I bought a shit load of pizza and wings and garlic sticks with some friends watching Detroit Rock City  I'm tired as hell...........why does the last race always have to be a 2AMer :fist:

ZfrkS62 10-16-2005 01:41 AM

WTF was Albeirs thinking?!?!?!? How the hell do you run into someone on the fucking out lap to set up on the grid?????

(i'm actually wondering how many people are going to blame Schumacher for this)

sameerrao 10-16-2005 01:51 AM

The speed differential between the two was quite a bit - maybe it was just a coincidence that Albers must have tried to cycle speed up and down to build heat and was accelerating when Michael was veering left for some reason.

I am sure one of them must have been on the radio when this happened.

nthfinity 10-16-2005 02:14 AM

ok, i just tuned in; and its looking a bit confusing... i hope the car is set up for him (vs. for Rubens) and a topped off fuel load...... and man, im almost sure Sato has had his last race in F1... jumping the green  :?

sameerrao 10-16-2005 02:22 AM

Sato drives like a valet parking attendent! :D

5vz-fe 10-16-2005 02:23 AM

Alonso looks crazy fast for this race
Sato....I find no words for him.
The T-Car is always in Michael's setup, it's part of the contract I think. With that pace he got, he better be with a lot of fuel.

*EDIT*
looks like Renualt will get the Constructors as well with Montoya out.

What pace? When you lose time to a Jordan...you're fucked.

sameerrao 10-16-2005 02:29 AM

Michael has to be on a one stop! Thats why he is so slow

nthfinity 10-16-2005 02:32 AM

if he has the full load of fuel that we think he does, hes running pretty damn fast... montoya=fucked LMAO... but Button in the bits too?
edit:
damn saftey car periods :?

ZfrkS62 10-16-2005 02:34 AM

now what??? safety car??? for debris? where the hell was the wreck???

nthfinity 10-16-2005 02:46 AM

WTF just happened to MS???? walking back to the pits?

Shanghai seems to be plently of bad luck for the man since last year... its shades of last year all over again

LMAO, MS still takes 3rd in the drivers with montoya retiring into the garage!

MWAHAHAHA

ZfrkS62 10-16-2005 02:47 AM

Schumi pwned himself with his brake bias again :?

HAHAHAHA!!! Nothing like a Minardi in 2nd place behind the safety car to throw a monkey wrench in the restart :D

sameerrao 10-16-2005 02:55 AM

Montoya out!

ZfrkS62 10-16-2005 03:26 AM

Klein sets fast lap of the race????????????!!!!!!!!

"Hello Apocalypse? Yeah, this is Earth. How many signs of your coming did you hide in the Formula 1 season this year??"

Max Power 10-16-2005 03:56 AM

thank god this pos season is over

RAMMIUS 10-16-2005 07:23 AM

Amen to that :(

|Nuno| 10-16-2005 09:45 AM

Meh, what a crappy race... I still don't understand why they took so much time to solve both Safety Car incidents. :? And I hate this track.

Anyway, a fair victory for Renault. Kimi did well too. But who surprised me the most were Ralf and Klien. Still don't quite get what happened to Schumacher though, but at least he secured 3rd place in the WDC. By now, he must love this track.

Oh well, at least I won't be seeing the damn fingers for a long time!

nthfinity 10-16-2005 10:43 AM

this was without a doubt the most boring race of the season...
the safety car periods were way too long, and allowed the race leader to stay up front the whole time...

it just wasnt fun watching this one

SFDMALEX 10-16-2005 12:58 PM

Looks like I didnt miss much. Good cal by me. :D

racer_f50 10-18-2005 01:52 AM

Narain Karthikeyan is the only driver who made this race worth watching, if you ask me. that crash was really great to watch in slow-motion, with all the bits of car flying around and the ensuing flames.
Glad he got away with no injuries and put on a good show for us. :D
