My ride in a Maserati GranSport
 

Hi guys! I've just arrived from Barcelona. Today has been, without any doubt, the best car experience of my life. :D Pitily dani hasn't been able to be with me in this test drive... :?
I have had the opportunity to drive the Maserati GranSport for almost 3 hours and, believe me, this car is absolutely marvellous. :love:
Although it was the first time I drove such a powerful car, the Maserati gave me confidence all the time, even when I pushed the evil button..."Sport". I felt the reactions of the car all the time and it was pretty easy to predict what it was going to do. It is a really well balanced car.

It has been so easy that I can't believe it...I sent an e-mail to the Maserati dealership asking them for a ride in the GranSport. Two days later they phoned me asking when I would like to drive the car...that's all. :D

You have been really lucky to get a 3 hour (:shock:) test drive experiance. I bet Dani will be pissed off, when he reads this :twisted:

You are damn lucky, not only did ya get it for 3 hours, you also got it for yourself, I'd expect somebody from the staff of the dealer to accompany you. Don't wortry about not having any more pictures, I'd do exactly the same thing, make the most of the car while it lasted.

That's REALLY nice from the dealership to let you test drive the GranSport for three hours. You probably were pretty stunned to hear you could have it for so long on your own?

Yes. The first test was 30 minutes with someone who showed me how to drive the car and the functions of each button. Then, I had the car on my own for 2 hours... :twisted:

with wich car would you compare the sound of this car? :)

I don't know which car has a similar sound...however, when you listen to the engine there is no doubt that below the bonnet there are 400 bhp :D

Since we are talking sound and since I was in a Gransport yesterday, I have to say the sound is ebaolutely marvellous! One of the few cars that I don't really see how a sport exhaust could improve. It's such a nice burble at low revs and such an angry scream near the redline! Pretty hard actually to compare it with something else, it's pretty special IMO

Absolutely agree. :D The sound was just marvellous with the car stopped at a traffic light, it was like "broooooooooooooo" 8) , or passing through a tunnel with full throttle (I always dreamed about doing that :twisted: )

but it was more like a vette sound or a 355/360 sound? or was very unique? :D

Btw, can you describe how it feels as a car (suspension, gear change, grip, etc...)?

Not as high pitched that a 355 or 360, quite lower, but not as luw and thunderous like a Vette. I would place it in the middle :bah:
