Currently working in the WTCC race in Puebla!

Hello, I just wanted to tell every one that I am writing this from the paddoks in the World Turing Car Championship Race in Puebla. It is Friday and the cars are doing some laps testing the track out. THe track has been completely redone and its a tight circuit for the cars. I met Alessandro Zanardi and made friends with Richard Rydell and Peter Terting from the Seat team. Its extremely exciting and im loving it!

Cheers!
Charles

Excuse me being a sceptic but why is your IP the same as other posts made by yourself, we're they from the racetrack also?

IP addy as in the internet connection used for each post, which appears to be identical to the one used for his first post on JW. IP address is not determined by the computer thats a MAC address

TransAm 06-25-2005 07:08 PM

Ok, I get it. I thought IPs were allocated by ISPs but I don't know much about this stuff.

Want to come round show me how to programme my VCR? I'm just an old man y'see :D

They are, but they are allocated to the place you access the net, not the computer. As for the VCR sorry  i'd be no help i haven't used one for nearly 2 years, sky+ rocks :P

Well we'll wait and see, could be wrong. But they appear to be from the same block at the same ISP......go figure

Hello!

I just got home on Monday morning from an incredible week. I was the anouncer of the winners on the podium on the mic. I only got 2 pictures that were taken by friends. I will post them as soon as they send them to me. Anyways. I went for a ride with Peter Terting in a Leon Cupra R and he drives incredible. I also went in a leon cupra r with Rikard Rydell, also an amazing driver but not as jerky. I met many pilots and made friends with various team members. Drove around the track in a Porsche Turbo from one of the local Porsche club members. The people from GR asia are great, after this past week i have an urge to work in motorsports. All in all it was a great week there are some pictures under the gallery at www.fiawtcc.com and i will post the ones that were taken of me. Thanks
Charles

PS. The first post was made from the paddocks of the track from a laptop. They have wireless internet all over the track.
I live in Mexico city. The owners of the circuit are Jose and Julian Abed. They are brothers to my fathers Wife. I stayed in the Aristos Hotel in Puebla and My uncle Jorge installed the sound system for the whole track. The internet connection is from Telmex Prodigy infinitum wich has a monopoly in Mexico and is the ISP for virtually every high speed connection in the country. Also Telmex was an official sponsor for the race.

SPEEDKILLAR 06-29-2005 05:53 PM

Less talk, pics please :P

RC45 06-29-2005 05:54 PM

Ahh - at last - a wealthy, well connected Mexican national has joined JW... :)

ARMAN 06-29-2005 06:19 PM

@MoeMonney - There is an unwritten law on JW - pics or STFU

MoeMonney 06-29-2005 06:28 PM

I understand about the pics and am trying to get them as soon as possible. Please stand By.

Thanks,
Charles

it might be... because I'm poor and with no connections with the wealthy ppl from mexico :( . Imagine, I've never seen a ferrari outside the showroom :| . My connections aren't that "high", mine are in the lowest of the low

@momoney: it seems that you have some influences. Maybe I've seen you at the socials page :P

MoeMonney 06-29-2005 07:47 PM

Pics are here! These pics are when I took my good friend Frissen to the paddocks to see the cars. He is the Chief of the Puebla Porsche club. I am the one with the black shirt standing next to the SEAT team cars. Made friends with Peter Terting, Rikard Rydell, I met Alessandro Zanardi and sat and ate lunch with him and his crew. It was amazing!

I was also the official translator for most of the TV interviews for the drivers and the team members.

Aweseome - looks like you didn't "work" at all ;) It was all play :)

TransAm 06-29-2005 07:58 PM

What's Tom doing there?

MoeMonney 06-29-2005 08:04 PM

I was running from one side of the cicuit to the other. Got a good tan, met some very fine ladies, drove around the track with the pro drivers, helped them and the teams in whatever they needed, got free t shirts and hats, spoke on live international television, had a blast.
