How would you spend 500.000 Euro (6-700.000dollar)

Hi!

If you got 500.000 Euro (about 6-700.000dollar) how would you spend it?

Example: 1 CCR or 50 Fiat Stilo or something.

adamwich 05-26-2005 01:26 PM

I guess I would buy one Koenigsegg CCR :D

sndr 05-26-2005 01:32 PM

i would buy a half Enzo :D :D

Seriously i would buy a Vanquish and a Range Rover and if had some money left maybe a Mini Cooper S

marktak 05-26-2005 01:33 PM

I would buy a porsche boxster s (aprox 105.000 euro's in Holland)....and use the rest for a nice appartment.....for about 200.000 euro's en the rest for a good vacation with friends. The money that's left then.......I would invest it...or put it on an account.

mv 05-26-2005 01:54 PM

The Zonda F without any long hesitation... Well, actually if I started contemplating, I'd probably go for an M6 or an F430 or the new turbo and save the rest.

gucom 05-26-2005 02:09 PM

a house and a 2nd hand elise or a 2nd hand 993, maybe another 2nd hand cheap car for practical use...or a night with heidi klum ofcourse :P

Fleischmann 05-26-2005 02:31 PM

An Aston Martin and a nice house in Poland.

TransAm 05-26-2005 03:02 PM

50 Fiat Stilos. Why didn't I think of that? Ok then, but only Schumacher special editions, deal?

Excusing my sarcasm and getting back to the question:

Larger house, start business. Which will be sports car / motorcycle related thus allowing me to have a (small but everchanging) fleet at my disposal

Back to reality and lottery tickets for now though. :|

Vansquish 05-26-2005 03:10 PM

I'd buy a house for about $500k and then use there rest to buy a Red Ferrari F355 GTS for around 100k, and an Orange (or maybe blue) Lotus Elise 111R and a Mitsubishi EVO VIII MR in Black for everyday use.

Exactly what I'd do, except I wouldn't get a GTS.

ARMAN 05-26-2005 04:41 PM

Pay all my debts :| and for rest M3 E30 EVO in mint condition for ~30.000€

callen 05-26-2005 04:42 PM

Well here in Canada, that is an even heftier sum of money, approaching 900,000 I would think but lets say 850,000. I would go to school still, so my place of residence will be Halifax. I would buy a condo downtown so lets say a real nice one is gonna set me back 150,000. I want underground parking of course and three spots. I would buy a Porsche Cayenne Turbo.. as new since I dont want to wait for a new one... so lets say 120,000. I need my saloon, so in this case I am gonna go with the Maserati Quattroporte...again as new, I hate waiting so about 130,000. Finally I need a sports car, and nothing but a Ferrari will do for me. A 2001 or 2002 Ferrari 360 would do very nicely, and at about 250,000 tops for a real low km stunner. That leaves me with 200K to party with, travel, pay for school, and invest. I would buy rental property during that year as well, since I would now be worth 600K on paper. Then I would start to build my empire. Three fantastic vehicles, a solid highrise condo, 200K in cash, and a university student. Could you ask for much more? hehe

nurbrun 05-26-2005 04:47 PM

i would buy a f40 and the cheapest shit hole house so i have enough money to maintain my F40 :D

|Nuno| 05-26-2005 04:54 PM

I'd invest it, and then if everything went well I'd buy a nice house with a big garage full of nice cars. And then I'd spend my life driving those cars, travelling, etc...

But I'd still finish Highschool and College tough, even if on a later stage.

The second option would be spending everything in cars. :D

5vz-fe 05-26-2005 05:04 PM

500k House + Porsche GT3 + BMW M5

acs power 05-26-2005 05:14 PM

why are we talkin about buyin houses in a car chat forum???

i'd get a 350z with the following add ons:

CF hood, bumper, and rear nismo wing
Greddy side skirts and rear bumper skirt
greddy turbo kit and all the electronics
upgrade the internals for the engine for higher boost resistance
lambo doors
awesome sound system
set of nice sf challenge rims from volk

other than the 350z, i'd probably get an e55 for daily driver and also porsche turbo convertible to go for nice cruises durin the nice sunny days...

Global Warming 05-26-2005 06:30 PM

1- F430 and put the balance in the bank.

Minacious 05-26-2005 06:58 PM

I'd invest.

T-Bird 05-26-2005 07:22 PM

I would buy a simple ranch with a huge ass garage for about $300k then a nice Sailboat for about $150k Then I would turn my car into a fast ass car for about $40k next a 68 Nova SS and drop in a blown 572 big block for about $60k ok that's $550k so with the last $150k I would buy a Lotus Elise for $50k then invest the final $100k then start getting the exotics...

SilviaEvo 05-26-2005 07:34 PM

id buy a 360 Challenge Stradale and a 288 GTO if possible. if there is anything left id start a buisness. then finally a waterfront condo in Seattle overlooking the water.

288 GTO - 370,000 USD
360 CS - 200,000 USD

edit: come to think of it i will invent a sport using Toyota Aygo's playing soccer

RC45 05-26-2005 11:38 PM

jpatino03 05-27-2005 02:53 AM

My heart is screaming PAGANI ZONDA.
But my head says house, TVR Sagaris and invest the rest.

pagani 05-27-2005 04:35 AM

And the first thing wouth be my the drives licence.
Make the word fastest and best handling and stopping streetcar.
Maby a audi s1 or s2 as base car or a other hot turbo charged car.
I like lots of cars.
:D :o

dingo 05-27-2005 05:23 AM

I would take about $AU 300K to invest on the stock market, plus the money I have there now already - so that should give me some good returns.
Then I would buy a F430 and a E60 M5 for a daily driver....and live happily ever after :D

ARMAN 05-27-2005 06:00 AM

I think one of best idea with the clear view in the future is to buy 40 cars(not fiats , toyotas maybe), for the rest find excelent salespeople, one hiskilled manager so you dont have to be there all the time and make a car rental office, from money that will it make you buy yourself every year a new or newer supercar and live happy life ....... Anyone want to donate 500.000€ to me? :P

ARMAN 05-27-2005 07:03 AM

Its for big company's mostly, they dont want to spend too much money to buy all the cars so they rent them without having problems with mantain costs, ofcourse they got smaller price than any of normal customes

Other alternative is to by flats and rent them, almost no work also, its even better than rental business  500.000 is almost 10 small flats :P People I spoke to who do that are very satisfyed with this kind of business... now where to get those 500.000€? http://arman.xz.cz/smilees/1042284708.gif

OVERLORD_CHRIS 05-27-2005 08:11 AM

I'd Get a Saleen S7, and have them swap out the 427ci with a 514ci, and the best Radar/Laser detector that mounts in the bumpers that i could find.....and invest the rest in to the oil company so I can get a discount at the pumps lol. 0X

ZfrkS62 05-27-2005 08:20 AM

i would buy a $150,000 house, and rent it out. That way i'd have extra money coming in

Then i would take another 250,000 and build my 12 car garage with game room and apartment above that  Once that is done, i build my 666Z and invest the rest of the cash :D

Akmon 05-27-2005 10:18 AM

Subaru WR-1 Petter Soldberg Edition & the rest of money:fuell, tires.

dutchmasterflex 05-27-2005 10:47 AM

i'd buy a house, E30 M3 EVO, E90 M5, and a F355.. :)

ZfrkS62 05-27-2005 12:19 PM

Quote:

E90 M5,
that would definetly be a rare one

SFDMALEX 05-27-2005 04:04 PM

I would buy an F430 and a nice little house in a good area. The rest I would put in the bank or invest is some solid stock.

martin100 05-27-2005 07:22 PM

Iīd buy a Merc SL55 or 65, a Ferrari F430 and a Aston Martin DB9  This is approx. the price for these three dreams

ferrarif1fan89 05-27-2005 09:15 PM

i already have a nice place, and im comptempt where im living, so id probably just buy an m5 for work and an m6 for play. as for the rest of the money, id probably invest it.

RC45 05-27-2005 10:24 PM

Hmmm... I would buy an F450 Crew Cab - a gooseneck enclosed 48ft aluminium sleeper race car trailer - do full T1 mods to the Z06, deck out the workshop with decent spares and tools - always have plenty of fresh tyres/brakes etc on hand - take 4 months off every year during the summer and tour the US going from track day to track day.

Might even throw in a trip over to the Nurburgring once or twice.

:)

damn near impossible to say it better :-D
although... why just settle for one style of racing on circuits... pro-rally racing is also a must :-D

graywolf624 05-27-2005 10:49 PM

Prolly pay off my bills and invest all of it for aspirations of a higher payout later.

Skaala 05-30-2005 06:56 PM

2001 Dodge Viper ACR Hennessey 1000TT
2005 Audi RS4

and a flat

levensnevel 05-30-2005 10:18 PM

mmm,

Assuming all has to be spend on cars it would probabely be a
> BWM M5 E60 as daily runner;
> a Jaguar E type DHC mkI for those trips down the countrylane on sunny days and
> and Lotus Exige for trackdays
And if any money is left I would get me a nice audio - and vidseo set from Bang and Olufsen.
