Man!!!! Thats f-cking awsome!!!!! :D  8) Thats your car ?
If it is 0X

evoWalo 05-26-2005 01:24 PM

Nah not my car... After watching Tiff's take on it I wish it were. :) I find the M5 a bit too big. I rather go for a E90 M3.

Toronto 05-26-2005 01:47 PM

do you know the owner? how did you get the interior shots?
and any hi-res? :(

evoWalo 05-26-2005 01:58 PM

The owner's friend is a friend. The owner opened the door. No hi-res.

vakpemil 05-26-2005 02:16 PM

Ah thats sad... my friends dad has got a E55 AMG 0X

evoWalo 05-26-2005 02:20 PM

It is sad indeed. I just have to settle with my pathetic Evo VIII.

ViperASR 05-26-2005 02:22 PM

I'm really lazy to research but has the E60 M5 been released in your country? I know it's being delivered now in the UK and is already sold out. According to Tiff it has a 2 year waiting list.

Those are mine and my fathers thoughts also, if they bring out a 4 door E90 M3 it would be great!

evoWalo 05-26-2005 02:52 PM

I hope to high heavens they dont bring out a 4 door E90 M3. Anyone know when the M3 will be released? I'll be counting my penny's til then. If you're 6 feet or taller the M5's the perfect car for you but am 2 inches shy so I'd go for something that's smaller.

TransAm 05-26-2005 02:55 PM

Yes, the 'saloon' version of the M3 is much missed since the E36. I think they'd not have had any trouble at all selling 000s of units of an E46 M3 sedan

nurbrun 05-26-2005 04:57 PM

i still wondering if the M5 is out in Canada yet? because my neighbour would have one, he is the owner of the dealer open road BMW. he always has the lastest models.

ViperASR 05-26-2005 05:15 PM

I'm curious. Normally, car magazines get these types of cars too test before they are released to the public, to make the public want it even more. Why havent I seen very many road tests or comparos with the new M5? I dont know if i am just looking at the wrong magazines or what, because i had no idea when the M5 was going to be launched in America. I know Car and Driver did a preview on it a couple of months ago, but that was it. I never heard anything after that, untill the pictures today. Is it true that there is a button to de-tune the engine, down to "only" 400 hp?

ViperASR 05-26-2005 06:59 PM

true true

Thanks for sharing those M5 snaps.
The link that I have added with this message is a picture of the M5 in action at the Nordschleife. Maybe you have seen this picture before, which is perfectly possible, although that I have cropped the original file and made some other changes as well > http://users.pandora.be/jokke1/Photo.../B.Cars/M5.jpg <
By the way, I have already seen a M5 in Belgium. It had dealer plates on it so ... .

Normally, if everything goes well I will visit the nurbrugring the upcoming weekend on Saterday 8) :D :D

Cheers

vakpemil 06-08-2005 04:53 PM

Thats a really nice pic! :D

dingo 06-09-2005 03:38 AM

I'm suprised the M5 isn't out until September in Canada, it goes on sale later this month in Australia and we are usually behind North America. :?

There is quite a few scans available of E60 M5 reviews/tests already

Yes, the M5 does have a 'power' button so that you can run the car at either 400hp or the full 507hp.
