Cream, best band to last 2 years or so, and they broke up because of a bad review in Rolling stone mag. You don't like Band of Gyp.? I like them live better then the experience, yet they did have mitchell playing with them @ woodstock, but the all back trio was jimi's idea so I guess mitchell had to go 8) Well I just can't pick a band to be the top, to many diff. styles, heck zeppelin had a diff. sound on each album, so they are you there on their own, so here is my list.. top bands in no order... Led Zeppelin Black Sabbath (1970-1980) Iron Maiden (1980-1993) Cream Yardbirds (Clapton, Beck and Page) Deep Purple Jimi Hendrix (all his bands after 1966) Pink Floyd Rage Against the Machine Ozzy (with randy, lee and some zakk) |
Depeche Mode
Red Hot Chili Peppers John Frusciante Pink Floyd Black Sabath Deep Purple Led Zeplin Ramstein Hendrix Cold Play BJORK From Jazz: Jan Garbarek John Scofield Al Di Meola Pat Matheny Miles Davis Weather Report Herbie Hancock Lile Mays +many more, jazz is more about CDs then artists I would say Too many artist to name. My favorite band of all time is Depeche Mode, also a big fan of RHCP, but I like a bit of everythinng, except Im tottaly turned off by modern hiphop, and those white kids screaming in the mic playing the same cord on every song...like that sum41 shit and blink182. |
I think a similair topic was posted before. Anyways, here is my line-up:
Acid Drinkers (polish Band) American Head Charge Chimiara Downthesun Ektomorf Godsmack Hatebreed KoRn ("Issues"...the rest suck IMO) L'esprit du Clan (French hardcore band) Machine Head Motorhead Ramms+ein Sepultura Slayer SlipKnoT SOAD Soulfly Vader (Polish death metal)   ...and a few more Polish underground metal bands :D |
Well leaving classical music aside...
Dead can Dance - Ultimate alternative Nick Cave Tom Waits Leonard Cohen Janis Ian Garmarna - Norwegian. Brilliant Dire Straits Covenant Yuki Kajiura - Japanese Can be a longer list, but I listen to these a LOT. |

Ektomorf
Slipknot Hatebreed The Used Taking Back Sunday My Chemical Romance The Spill Canvas The Haunted System of a Down Slayer The Postal Service Senses Fail AFI Finch A Perfect Circle Thursday Alexisonfire At The Drive-In Brand New Sparta Jimmy Eat World Fear Factory Green day The Mars Volta In Flames Korn Metallica Modest Mouse Boy Sets Fire Live Behind Crimson Eyes Pantera Funeral For A Friend i prob forgot a few... |

I love Motorhead's lastest album "Inferno ". Oldschool riffs, quite heavy but also many great solos. |
The Mars Volta
INCUBUS At The Drive-in ALEXISONFIRE Most of them are not that big but they are fucking crazy bands. Anyone who likes Pink Floyd should check out The Mars Volta, they have some trippy effects and dub shit. |
Iron Maiden
AC/DC Guns N'Roses Kiss Led Zeppelin Metallica Van Halen(for his solos) Frank Sinatra Ray Charles James Brown BigWig Rancid I listen to a lot of music styles and I like almost evrything except pop music that is too commercial and done in the intention to do money. I like especialy Iron Maiden because their songs are longs and have differents melodies in it. In evry song there's a guitar solo of at least one minute. I also like Guns N'Roses because their songs are at the perfect balance between soft and hardcore. |
