i think i would take the 911 GT2 with its 477hp and 472ft-lbs from that list. the ferrari F430 was a close second but i like that the porsche makes a bit more torque....cant wait to see the 997 turbo :D

phantomfocus 04-06-2005 05:04 PM

The 360 Modena has always been my dream car. I don't know if anything can replace it as my favorite. But the F430 does come in as a close second. With it being the replacement for the 360 I was very critical at first, but over time I have grown to really love the car. Since the 360 wasn't on the list the F430 was my obvious choice.

MUS911 04-06-2005 05:09 PM

wooow whatta a collection of super cars !!!
Really its so hard to choose a car form all those exotic cars!!! :P
mmmmm thinking ... thinking ... thinking ,,,,

man? plz can i have them all

Sir_GT 04-06-2005 06:11 PM

The AMV8... because the rest are either completely devoid of charisma, or are just expensive (and rather naff) phallic symbols.

The AMV8 isn't too expensive, isn't too flash, isn't cliche in a footballer/nba baller/drug lord sort of way, but is still elegant enough to turn heads, charismatic enough to be proud of, and has an interesting company history.

Oh... and it's the only brand that doesn't have people who look like twats walking around the high street wearing the company's licenced branded shirts, caps, shoes, laptops, and what not.

ARMAN 04-06-2005 06:25 PM

355 one of the best looking cars in history. Even Clarkson said thats its "the best car in the world" :)

crayzayjay 04-06-2005 06:27 PM

F355 for me. As Dani says, it sounds and looks stunning. If the GT2 in question was a 993 rather than the bloated 996, i would have chosen the Porsche.

OMG how can you say that!!! the 355 has no charisma??? come on...that car has more charisma and passion than all of the others put together...

I'd love to have a 355 Berlinetta, rosso corsa, 6 speed manual, sweet sounding V8...ooohhh, someday I will spend a ridiculous amount of money to rent one for a week or something...it's somthing that is written on my "before I die to do list", or if in 30 years I ever get an extra 60K - 80K to spend...I will get one...

ZfrkS62 04-06-2005 06:47 PM

996 GT2!! Sound is absolutley awesome and just has some kind of odd hold on me. Porsche is an awesome company and even though i don't know nearly as much about them as i do BMW, but i do know they haul ass and handle curves better than ron jeremy 8)

DeMoN 04-06-2005 07:01 PM

I kind of was expecting the 430 to beat the DB9 but come on the 355 beat db9?

DB9 is much more useable and prettiest of all the cars named there. It gets my vote.

davide 04-06-2005 07:08 PM

Gallardo...

everyone got a ferrari or porsche, and lamborghini is the shit! And of course, it helps that it's DEAD gorgeous... love that car.

Z3uS 04-06-2005 07:10 PM

The Gallardo! I guess i dont have to explain why hahahahah Just look at my signature and pic

mindgam3 04-06-2005 07:18 PM

Dam thats a tough tough choice....

My ultimate driveway would be a Ferrari 360CS n a DB9 but a 355 is so very tempting

Wouldnt go GT2 in a million years - probably one of the fastest on a track and in a straight line but just doesen't do it for me

AMV8 is an amazing car but i'd prefer a DB9 over it anyday

Gallardo probably has biggest road presence of those listed but I just think the interior lacks soul and is a little too Audi - gorgeous engine though.

F430 is a faster drive than the 355/360 but the 360 and 355 both look and sound better.

DB9 has gorgeous engine and probably the best all rounder along with the best looks but maybe not engaging as the fezza's...

I'd take the 355 with a capristo/tubi please ;)

|Nuno| 04-06-2005 07:19 PM

F430. The 355 would be my second choice and the GT2 the third.

After seeing a few videos of the F430, I'm "sold"...

The looks, the power, the sound, the handling...I could go on...

The 355 is also fantastic... One of the best looking and sounding cars ever made. Already a classic.

Tough I'm not a big fan of low reving (relatively speaking) turbo engines, the GT2 should be one hell of a drive! :D

Actually, the Ferrari fell under the phallic symbol category, not the devoid of charisma one.

bmwdakias 04-07-2005 04:06 AM

My choice, although it was not easy is the Ferrari 430.Its gorgeous, fast,it has a fantastic engine and an engine note that gives me goosebumps.I could not say the same thing for the 355 which i find boring and not one of the all time great ferraris. If looks was the most important factor to choose a car i would go for the DB9 Aston Martin but it is not as exotic as the ferrari or the lamborghini. While i was typing the message i started having second thoughts, the gallardo could be my first choice, it s really hard,i dont know. :(

Imre 04-07-2005 05:08 AM

Gallardo-quickest in the real world.

I choose the DB9, because of the combination of looks and great engine! The car does not look so poshy, I like that!

dingo 04-07-2005 07:42 AM

If I just got the car for a days driving then I would have to take one of the Ferrari's....and although the F355 is a classic I would take the F430 (Spider probably) as I would like to experience the latest technolgies :D
However I wouldn't be disappointed in any of those cars - any would make for a great drive (although the GT2 with its RWD could be a handful) :)

gucom 04-07-2005 07:43 AM

i'd have the F355...as crazayjay said. if the 992 GT2 had been a 993, it'd have been that1...the 996 GT2 just doesn't excite me :(

stradale 04-07-2005 09:23 AM

Very difficult choice, but in the end I chose the F430. The F355 and Gallardo are a close tied second. The F355 is quite possibly the most beautiful modern Ferrari, but the F430 with its sharknose is brilliant as well. I'd like one with a manual gearbox in TdF blue with tan interior.

David Yu, writer and evo's fast fleet F355 Spider owner, wrote on Ferrarichat not long ago about a trip to France in an F430 Berlinetta (he has a Spider on order): "The first time I feel I have driven a completely perfect car." http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/sho...7&page=1&pp=20

acs power 04-07-2005 10:18 AM

F430!

mv 04-07-2005 10:26 AM

I'm totally amazed by the F430 by now, hence the choice. But if I needed the car for really long trips, I would go for the DB9.

I reckon a 996 Turbo S should also be included as it offers both performance (which is very close to the F430) and the usability of the Aston.

No.1 04-07-2005 01:18 PM

I picked the DB9, mainly because it would look nice next to my Vanquish S

ninopan 04-07-2005 01:20 PM

well, sure it's not easy to choose, but if i had to chose one of them, i would go for the aston martin V8 Vantage, cause it's gorgeous, brand new, not as show off as ferrari s for example, and because 380hp is not bad ;-). power, beauty, soul...

430 as a spider, superior performance, and its drop dead gorgeous.

I didn't mean to say David Yu started the thread, but he's in it, under the name godzilla (after the Skyline GTR he drove). Scroll down a little further.

Because I already have CS, so GT 2 will be my choice .. :) ... Stick shift, lots of power, wild & raw ..

leo_26782 04-12-2005 01:13 PM

Can't decide between AMV8 and Gallardo, so as it is just a dream now, I'll take both!

biff19_a 04-17-2005 01:48 AM

the 430.. a nice looking car especially in the grey black the the convertable has been shown in some of the car mags

Fleischmann 04-17-2005 02:45 AM

The DB9. When rolling around town I don't have to go fast to feel good in it. On the motorway though all hell breaks loose  In black please :D
